They get back saying that the passport photo submitted is not clear. Strangely, the exact same photo was submitted to the US Passport services and I got my US Passport with no issues at all! And the Customer Service doesn't know English I suppose. They respond as though they have not understood a simple English complaint! ALL THIS COMPANY WANTS IS TO LOOT PEOPLE'S MONEY!

AFTER APPOINTMENT DETAILS COMPLETION AND WHILE PAYMENT IT DOES NOT GIVE TIME TO EVEN PUT OTP - WHOLE TRANSACTION DISAPPEARS AND IF WE CHECK ON DASHBOARD TO CONFIRM THE TRANSACTION, IT SHOWS NO TRANSACTION UNDER PROCESS - WHILE RETYPING AGAIN WITH ALL THE DETAILS RESUBMITTED - ITS A TIRING AND PAINFUL - IT DOES'NT END HERE AS MESSAGE APPEARS AND WHICH DISPLAYS THAT CHECK AFTER 5 HOURS AS YOUR REQUEST IS UNDER PROCESS
Worse service i have ever seen. I don't know why CANADA embassy is choose this VFS service to send documents. They wont answer calls or respond either.
Didn't received my OCI and instead of resending they want me to fill another application. Horrible customer service. Charge $2.48 per minute for each call and very hard to get reply through email.
I booked a family holiday to Portugal. The Portugese Embassy in Abu Dhabi told us they had outsourced visa services to VFS - Contacted VFS and they told me that they had no idea when they would be able to offer an appointment for my Wifes visa. 3 week passed - finally received some B. S message from them that we may be able to get appoint in November ( One month after our scheduled trip) if we pay AED 600+ for their platinum service... We cancelled the trip because of this useless company - Why embassies outsource to VFS is beyond me.
They cannot cancel your application, cannot fix website glitches, and even deny facts clearly stated on the website (customer service claimed there is not centre in LA while clearly there is one.)
After wasting hours of my life over the past 6 weeks trying to book a slot for one Schengen VISA for my spouse for our cruise in July to the Norwegian Fjords and without any success except for one miraculous occasion when I managed to get a slot but failed at the last hurdle – paying for it. By the time I had entered the payment details the slot was gone. One VFS staff member (unnamed) told me in an email that "there is no premium or walk-in availability for any of the visa categories for Norway". Then another (Sabari) tells me today (06/04/2023) via another email that "we can forward your request to the dedicated team for a manual or premium appointment". One tells me "appointments for the May month will be released by the first week of April.". They told our friends (who are travelling with us and trying to get a couple of slots) that "all the slots for April and May have been allocated". This company VFS Global is a sham. They will charge you an extortionate amount for a Premium appointment (costing 100s of pounds). They are total rip-off merchants and not "fit for purpose". How can you have a service which releases some VISA slots on a random day and time of their choosing and they are all gone within seconds. Do they really expect people to sit at their computers every day all day and keep trying to get a VISA slot. Are they bonkers? Do they really have a walk-in service? How long would you need to wait for a walk-in service – assuming they actually have one? I think one will need to call the Norwegian embassy after the Easter break and see if there is an alternative to using these scam merchants.
I'm having the most terrible service with this company. I have been waiting for my password for 1 month and I still didn't get it back! There is NO WAY to get in touch with the Miami office and the when I called the call center the gentleman I spoke to lied to me and said that my passport is in their office and it will be delivered in 2 days. When I called again they said that he can't have access to that information. I asked to speak to a manager and THERE IS NO MANAGER IN THE OFFICE!
Winning the MP/MLA election is easier than getting the OCI Visa. This is too complex process.
I would go for a visitor VISA instead of OCI and would suggest changing the easier way process. A lot of my friends complained about it and while I'm applying I really felt more pain than what they complained about.
They reject applications within 7 days if you don't send the paperwork but send you autogenerated emails that are barely prioritized emails so you likely won't see it. They then force you do the entire application again instead of just making it easier by letting you resend the missing paperwork and completing the application. Also they still take half the cost of the application after rejecting it. It could and would be way easier but they couldn't rob you blind without it. I've lost hundreds of dollars for the application only for it to not amount to anything. This company should be bankrupt or sued into oblivion for its useless by beaurocracy and borderline scammy business practices.
I am a US citizen and VFS lost my passport after it was processed by the French Consulate in Washington DC, after I applied for a long stay visitor visa. I went through VFS Houston. My flight is in 1 day and no one can tell me where my passport is, where it stopped being tracked, if it was ever even given to the courier service (which was the last notification I received from VFS before my passport seemingly disappeared). I paid for overnight courier delivery and was notified almost 4 days ago that it was handed off to FedEx, but FedEx says they never received it. I will now likely be missing the holidays and I have to try and obtain an appointment for a new emergency passport (the soonest one is in 10 days if I am lucky) to try and at least get a new passport. I will have to start the Visa process all over from the beginning. Honest to God the worst experience I've ever had with any business in my life. I have contacted them via email 6 times and via phone 4 times but you can't actually talk to anyone who works in a VFS office so the people who answer are unable to assist. Thank you to VFS for costing me thousands of dollars, missed time with my family, and days of my life dealing with your absolute incompetency. I truly have absolutely no idea how any government agency trusts this company to handle their processes.
I have recieved very good Service from one of the staff named Arpita, who was very helpful and patience. She is very polite and gives great advice to improve your applications.
Logging in to your website is very complicated and unfriendly to the users. You should be here to help, not to complicate things. Go invest some money that you charge to upgrade your poor website.
Website is a $#*!show. On top of that their Customer Service is the worst service ever. They act like they don't care at all. VFSglobal customer support via e-mail, phone or twitter is absolutely useless. Numerous complaints from other users exist on *******@vfsglobal about the same issue...
INSTEAD OF VFS SOLVING THEIR WEBSITE ISSUES THEY ASK USERS TO REREGISTER, FILE A NEW APPLICATION AND PAY THE APPLICATION FEE AGAIN.
This whole process has been a complete nightmare! The VFS website offers online booking and online chat capabilities but NEITHER ARE FUNCTIONING. So in order to book an appointment or get help you have to phone. Which would be fine except that 9 times out of 10 (literally - I counted!) the call isn't answered. Instead, after endless automated messages and waiting, the phone disconnects before you get to a representative. And when you do eventually get through (many hours later in my case), you find yourself at a call centre - in Mexico! So much for the website telling me I'm calling VFS in New Zealand and providing a NZ phone number. The representatives are limited in how they can help and have such strong accents they're almost impossible to understand. There is no way to contact any of the staff or administration at VFS Global itself - and the 'tracking system' only tracks when your visa application leaves VFS Global, and when it arrives back - nothing in between, no progress updates, no ETA. I am 3 days from leaving the country and I haven't had my passport returned to me. And there is no one I can contact to help me track it down. Beyond stressful and frustrating!
VFS deserves NEGATIVE 100 rating if that exists. Their web site for booking appointment is pure garbage and unusable. The website shows me available dates for booking, but when I select the date, for example 16 October and proceed to payment, I get a message that 16 October is no longer available, select another date. But when I go back to select other dates, it shows that 16 October is still available. So when i select it yet again and proceed to payment, I again get another message that 16 October is not available choose another date. So I go back and see that 16 October is STILL available. So this time I try a different date example 20 October but when I reach payment yet agin it says 20 October not available choose another date. I go back and 20 October is still showing as available. After few tries I get an error message that i can no longer use the website and need to wait 2 hours or try different browser. After waiting 2 hours, the same problems happen all over again. Whatever I do does not work. I call their customer service and they can not help, they blame the user and request to send escalation email to reposed after 48 hours. And after 48 hours all available appointments are gone and not available. VFS is the worst nightmare for visa applications. I do not understand how embassies are choosing to continue working with VFS for their visa processing. Its a disgrace.
Can't register, can't log in, can't see availability, can't reschedule, multiple bugs, slow and nonsense customer service reply. You name it. It's unbelievable it can make everything so crappy.
My son applied for UK student visa from VFS KL taking their Gold service. Almost a month now. No updates from VFS at all. It seems there is no way to get in touch with VFS customer service as well. When we tried the VFS web form, they only direct us to UKVI which confirms that the decision is made already. I have no idea why it is taking so long even after UKVI processed it.
However, based on my own previous experience with VFS Dubai and other people's experience with VFS, I can assert that most of these positive reviews on Trustpilot are perhaps paid ones. VFS cares about lobbying the embassies to get businesses more, and they seldom care about customers who pay them. This VFS monopoly must end. Those who are posting here, please also post on Trustpilot as VFS claimed their account at Trustpilot but not here. Everytime there is a genuine post, you will see a few paid positive posts appears there immediately.
I wish some investigative journalist take the case and broadcast a comprehensive documentary about the VFS monopoly. Some former employees voiced out their frustrations with mismanagement here and there. Customers also wrote about their experience all over the Internet.
Trustpilot reviews are monitored by VFS actively and an army of paid people are active here to help VFS boosting its ratings. The true customer experience is a bleak one. I like the genuine reviews here at Sitejabber. Thank you
