In my experience this company just wants cash with no compassion for your family. I've had my dog 14 years and he is getting old like me. He grew up in my semi and we've spent 23 hours a day since he was born. That's probably more hours than I've spent with my family so I will be devastated when he goes. You would think that these ( pardon my language, uncompassionate worthless $#*!s should understand that but they don't) they just want cash. So I put the same curse on them and their families
Like so many reviews on this site and others, I never received my $200 order. Also like many other reviewers said they were told by Vetdource that they entered the wrong address! My phone autofilled the address and it was correct…as it has been in every other order from every other company. I saw it was correct. My emails to them weren't answered my online chat wasn't answered, they aren't open on Sunday and when I finally reached a "customer service" rep she was nasty and said no refunds! Their shipping company doesn't update the status, I waited nearly 8 days and on April 27th it was still showing an April 25th delivery even though it apparently had been returned on April 24th. These were pain pills that my dog needed desperately, Chewy never would've treated a customer this way. I will never use again
AWFUL
AWFUL, AWFUL, VETSOURCE IS AWFUL! WISH I HAD READ THE REVIEWS PRIOR TO ORDERING. SINCE MY VET RECOMMENDED, IF FIGURED OK. MAYBE WE SHOULD ALL GET TOGETHER A FILE A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT FOR THEIR PATHETIC COMPANY, IN MY OPINION
We take our dog to petco and they fill their scripts though this company. My husband ordered the prescription Thursday expecting it Friday, he even pays extra for express shipping. When it did not come Friday he called them on Saturday to see what was going on. They said we haven't even filled the order yet because the location it comes from was closed Thursday and Friday due to ice storms. There was no message about them being closed. The medication is close to running out and they don't ship on the weekend. They swore they will ship it out tomorrow, even though it is Presidents Day, but we'll see...
I recently had a very disappointing experience with VetSource and want to share my concerns to help others avoid similar frustration. I placed an order two months ago, scheduled to ship on the 10th. On the ship date, I was notified they were still awaiting vet approval. Unlike Chewy, VetSource doesn't allow you to upload a prescription, which unnecessarily delays the process.
Last night (1/12), I went online to check the status, and there was still no shipping date. I tried their online customer service texting feature, but it didn't work. Frustrated, I placed an order with Chewy instead, and guess what? My order is arriving today, 1/13. Meanwhile, I called VetSource's customer service, where I was told my order is "prepared to ship" and cannot be canceled—but they still don't have a shipping date. By the time it eventually ships and takes 3–5 days to arrive, I'll have a second bag of dog food that I ordered two months ago, showing up days after my Chewy order arrives tonight.
The experience with VetSource's customer service was equally frustrating. When I spoke to a supervisor, I politely suggested that they consider adopting some of Chewy's practices, like allowing customers to upload prescriptions or notifying us earlier about approval issues. The supervisor was dismissive and outright rude, saying it wasn't their fault and that they'd notified me on the 3rd that the order would ship "soon." I pointed out that it still hadn't shipped, nor had it shipped on the promised date, to which she essentially shrugged it off, saying I could have canceled on the 3rd if I didn't like it. Her tone was unprofessional and lacked any concern for the customer experience.
Between the lack of timely communication, outdated processes, slow shipping, and poor customer service, I cannot recommend VetSource. In contrast, Chewy's efficiency and responsiveness made all the difference. I hope VetSource reevaluates their practices to better serve their customers.
They use FedEx and the cans are always dented. This time, 8 cans were completely crushed, not even able to open them. Their response, refunded the cans and I could order another 24 cans for $115, but they would give a discount. Oh, ok so now I am 8 short, but since I have buckets of money lying around let me just order another 100 dollars of cans. Another suggestion that lead Casey gave is that I can call FedEx, in my spare time, and complain to them. Nope, there are to many other pet sources that carry this food. Shame on you vetsource, just shame.
Do not order anything through this site. Customer service is a joke and gives you attitude and refuses to fix there mistakes. Ordered $125 worth of food to be told your order date is just the date they take the money out. It could take up to 6-10 business days to receive your order if your lucky. Apparently the holidays mean your dogs will go without their medicated food because all they care about is taking your money on the day you expect your food to come but could care less if you receive it. Refused to refund so I could order it though a better site because it's medicated food. This site is a joke and I recommend going through chewy. I now understand why they have a one star review worst service I have ever seen for someone going through pet issues.
I was supposed to get a 35% discount on the first order with a discount code. After my credit card info was entered, The order window closed with no place to enter the code. I contacted customer service via their online chat and they were not the least bit helpful and the best that they could offer is that it will probably get resolved on down the line. I will never do any future business there and will find another way to get my pets meds even if I have to change vets.
I cancelled my subscription and was charged anyway. I called customer service and was told there was nothing that can be done. I'll be taking my business elsewhere and calling to authorized refills. Horrible service.
Started out with shipping time being decent but last two times have taken longer, I order with about a week left of meds, last one took a week (no holidays, etc) and my cat was without medicine for 2 doses. Emails have gone unanswered. The thing is, I could have excused this change in shipping time if the tracking was more accurate; for instance it was supposed to arrive the day before it actually arrived, and even late on that evening the shipping estimate still said it was out for delivery that day. If I had an accurate scope of the delivery and tracking was accurate, I could have gone to an animal hospital and probably begged, borrowed or stole some methimazole for a dose or two for my poor buddy. No more Vetsource for me.
It took four months for Vetsource to finally get my dog's food in stock. This company has a no cancellation, no return policy, so beware of using this company or setting up an autoship. Their customer service representatives are not helpful. I will only be using Chewy in the future for its generous and flexible return policy. It took four months for Vetsource to finally get my dog's food in stock. My veterinarian was sending my prescriptions to this company to refill my dogs, heartworm, flea and tick prevention medicine. Not only are they overpriced but they continue to send me discount codes and when I try to use them they tell me I don't qualify will be spending my money at a different company and do not recommend this company.
My vet is forcing me to use vet source I bought the Heart guard plus when it's on sale for $102.00 and vet source they offer a 12 pack for $128 and that they never go on sale plus the trazodone is $29.78 for 100 count 100 mg and valley Vet has it 100 count 100 mg for $17.78 do your math a lot more expensive!
My vet runs an online store using this company. The first order went well - 12 heargart chewies for my dog, $122.00.
Second order, not so much. They sent me a package of 6 chewies, but charged me for the 12 and did charge me the autoship discounted price. When you send them a question via their posted e-mail, you get an automated response that they will respond shortly, but they never do.
When you check the online store - the prices vary according to the web page you are on. One page says, $59.00 for the package of 6 chewies for a dog 51-100 lbs, another page says $108.00
None of their prices are competative with Chewy or 1800 pet meds.
Steer clear.
I can honestly say their customer service was fantastic. The two reps that I spoke with were very empathetic and as helpful as they could be given their limitations. Our order remained in "label created" status for 8 business days (10 days total) and all they could do was offer to cancel our order and refund us our money. So we took that option and they processed it immediately. Unfortunately, we are super low on our dog's food and now have to get our order directly from the vet which costs more money, but in the end I think it will be our method of purchasing her special low fat diet food going forward even at the higher cost. At least we will have the food in hand at time of purchase.
Took awhile for item I ordered to arrive. They would not honor their promised rebate after I submitted the required information twice. Just kept giving me the runaround. Definitely won't be using them again.
THREE times this year they messed up orders from our vet. Shipped to wrong address. Then other weird stuff on address had orders floating in limbo for weeks going back and forth all over the country while they tried to figure out where it was supposed to go! Customer service RUDE and totally uncaring. They gave us a hard time at every turn. Actually said "we don't care. Do as you please" when we said we were getting the medication somewhere else! NEVER using them again. Vet now considering another service.
The service is not automatic and they do not communicate delays. I called for a week, everyday, leading up to my dog being out of medications, and they still failed to send the medications on time and left me to figure out how to handle the bridge refill. When it was escalated to a supervisor I was told "the auto order was initiated as planned" and they didn't own up to any fault in the delay. Really unfortunate situation that left me no choice but to discontinue services with them, it's just easier to get through my Vet.
My wife used them at the direction of our vet. After digging into the vet source site and seeing the pitch to vets to use vet source it appears its not much more than a shake down scam. So much of business as we are coming to know it, is little more than that. Sitejabber gets a two thumbs up from us, an honest review site is a valuable resource in these times, thanks sitejabber!
My vet recommended ordering my dogs flea meds from here - what a waste of time. The website is totally dysfunctional. The people that answer their phones are not much better. They offer nice pricing but you can never place an order. I'd rather pay more and order from Chewy or 1800PETMEDS. Pet Source is a waste of a company and their employees are not much help.
Vetsource has a rating of 1 stars from 54 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Vetsource most frequently mention customer service, dog food and auto ship. Vetsource ranks 72nd among Vet sites.
