There online layout software has improved considerable over the last years and makes it super easy to get your email up and out. While their template selection does not offer the same versatility than other pay per month services they are a great choice for small businesses that need an on demand solution for their email marketing.
I have used vertical response both for its nonprofit program, which provides a generous number of free email credits, as well as for a new small business. It's a good product for the cost, and fairly easy to use. My only complaint is that sometimes the site has issues at times of day that have heavy traffic.
