1st claim Jan 2023 Ford F-150 transmission. Company spent 4 weeks before any decision was made. Once it was approved they said they had located a used transmission...Not rebuilt but USED. I ended up paying the difference (Over $4,000) to put in a new transmission.
2nd claim Feb 2025 same truck. Had issues with OH Cam/Valve train and timing. Company said the claim was denied due to "signage" on the truck indicated it was a commercial vehicle. The vehicle is used by me the owner of a real estate company. Technicality they used to decline $6,000 claim.
They will look for any reason to decline claims. I thought I had purchased peace of mind, however it was a terrible experience. Avoid these jerks at all cost.
I've been with Veritas Global for a year and a half now, and they've saved me thousands on repairs. The claims process is super easy, and the customer service team is always helpful.
These people are professional SCAM artists, They will use the lack of maintenance to deny a claim. A turbo went out on my truck I provided the oil change a week earlier, but they said a lack of maintenance on the tubo. They denied my claim for two months even after I had two Ford dealership repair shops tell them they were wrong because there was no maintenance on a turbo. However, their adjuster who could not provide his mechanical experience was right.
N I G H T M A R E. From trying to get a claim approved, which is often denied, to now trying to get a refund for the unused balance of our warranty, this place is an absolute nightmare. We purchased a We purchased an extended warranty with our Audi Q7 in 2022 and from our first initial issue with wheel bearings and the front end, making noise, they made it near impossible. The Audi dealership worked feverishly to get the work approved, the waiting time for an independent inspection was ridiculous, and it took weeks to get approvals to finally get something fixed although our portion was ridiculous. We had several other instances of trying to get things covered and were told that it was negligent maintenance, which was a joke. The bottom line is, they are always looking out for themselves and their bottom line, never providing for the actual customer. They owe us money and it's been a month so far…
NIGHTMARE. Bureaucratic red tape BS…. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. ONLY PROTECTING THEIR INTERESTS.
My vehicle has been in the shop for 11 DAYS and counting! The repair shop has gone above and beyond to provide videos and documentation. It took the warranty company 3 days alone to send out an inspector to make sure the Dealership "wasn't lying" about the repairs needed. Multiple calls and they will NEVER let you speak to a supervisor. They continue to delay and say they won't pay the shops labor prices even though they are $20 within the fair labor rates sheets used.
My family moves across the country TOMORROW and the warranty company takes forever to review and respond. At this point, they are telling me my portion of the repairs is over $1300!, when my deductible is $100. Literally at a loss with what feels like no recourse.
This company is awfullllllllll
I run a large repair shop and have had the displeasure of dealing with Veritas on various occasions. On many of my customer's car with this warranty plan Veritas has not come through on covered items. On this last car it was an Audi and it was leaking oil from everywhere. Oil was leaking out onto the ground just in idle. Veritas said that the oil leak was not bad enough to worry about and declined the claim. They have dragged their feet on the repairs and diagnostics along as long as they can in the past and have frustrated the customer and myself to the point of giving up and performing covered repairs out of pocked to avoid more hassle with Veritas. Nasty business practice and not helpful.
We are a very large repair shop that uses pictures and transparency as our business practice. We want to help people keep their cars a long time and make them reliable. It does not seem Veritas shares the same values...
I run a repair shop and I've had multiple customers scammed by this company. Very few claims have been approved across the board. We will wait for days or weeks before a denial of claims. I've been against warranty companies for a while, but have never written a review until this company screwed my customer over bad enough (and screwed me out of my time) that's made me mad enough to write a review. The customer has a broken belt tensioner and clicking c/v axles. We've waited over a week for an answer. These are covered items and commonly covered items with other warranty companies. But some how they found a way to weasel out of paying for this repair. This is the wrong way to do business and is not moral. The reason why I've stayed in business for decades is because I'm moral. Veritas is immoral.
These people are scam artist it's. If you are offered one of their warranties, do not buy it. Very unprofessional and unresponsive. They denied my claim because "Chevrolet performed a maintenance service on my vehicle that Chevrolet did not recommend". I have talked to multiple dealerships and GM directly. GM informed me that what Veritas is telling me is false and the performed service is part of the recommended service for my vehicle. GM even went as far as to email me a tech bulletin related to my issues that specifically recommends the service that veritas is claiming voided my warranty. If you don't believe my just check their rating with the BBB. 2.1 out of 5 stars and 300 complaints made.
Got a 5-year extended warranty with my purchase of a used truck. Transmission fluid leak and when they pulled the transmission to fix the gaskets/seals (which should have been covered under warranty but they said they weren't - I ate that and said I would just pay for it out of pocket). They took transmission out and it was shot. Denied claim because there were 1) modifications to truck (which I bought it like, no alterations on my end - how could they approve the warranty without knowing about the truck?); 2) the ford dealer pulled the transmission without the pre-approval of Veritas. How would they be able to fix the leaks and diagnose the problem without pulling the transmission? Anything they can do to scam you, they will. Trash customer service, trash people. Would give -stars if I could. Cancelling my warranty so will at least get most $ back. I'd rather buy stocks during Kamala Harris's presidency than use Veritas ever again. They put up fake reviews on this site which are being looked at now by this review site. If you like getting F-ed in the A, choose Veritas!
Bought a 2018 Cayenne in 2022 (23kmiles). Paid almost 6k upfront for this trash warranty. I spent over $600 in diagnostics and then they only wanted to pay for 1/4 of the job, even after my deductible. These parts ARE ON THE CONTRACT but they wont wanna pay any repair place for their time. You cannot get a high tier warranty than the one I purchased. I wish I'd have taken that money and put it in the stock market, I'd have all my repairs covered with money left over.
I purchased a contract. July 2019. March 2024, transmission problem,2016 GMC Yukon XL. Not eligible! Wheel size when bought from dealer, 20". Vehicle wheel size is 22' on door jamb. Not covered because wheel size was not correct,4.5 years of payments! A representative told me that the vehicle should never have been covered from day one. Told 3 times, a manager would call me, never happened once. Total scam!
I have both a mechanical and tires warranty with them. 2 months I found out I had an oil leak in my Durango. Took it to the dealership. The dealership contacted Veritas. The dealership open the engine to diagnose the problem. Veritas came and took pictures. They then refused to pay for my repairs stating the dealership tampered with the car. Meanwhile everything done at the dealership was recorded on video. They then said the dealership did it get the ok to open the engine to assist what the damages were. They also said I was denied for not producing my maintenance records. I paid $3500 in total for the warranty and these Frauds are trying all moves to not honor the warranty
Do nothing do business with this company. I had an alternator burn out under the warranty. They would not pay for labor and only half the alternator price. They tell my repair facility to have the customer call them. When I did they would not allow me to file a dispute or talk to me.
I brought a Veritas policy from Shift.com when I purchased my car two years ago. Then, the transmission of my vehicle had a problem that needed to be fixed. But I didn't tell them about the issue happening to my car until a month later. Because I was struggling with my classes, feeling anxious about my classes, and I didn't have the mood and time to take my car to the dealership. When I tried to make a claim for the repair fees, I was told that I was supposed to report the problem soon after the issue occurred. But, I didn't know about that and didn't report the problem. So they refused to pay even a buck for the case. I think, although I reported the case late, so you just refused the entire thing? You don't need to pay some amount of the bill?
About two months ago, I told them that I wanted to cancel the policy, and they said they would send me an email to do that. But, they haven't sent me any email, and they keep charging me fees for the useless policy.
I have worked with a lot of insurance company's and this one take the cake they do not even pay retail price for parts even though if I was the dealer they would as a small business and auto repair I should be paid the same at the dealer I was cut on labor and prats. Was told to pass that to the customer I take pride in taking care of my customer so I did not pass that on In the end this job has cost me money then making any profit or at least break even. In the future I will not work with this company at all
This is by far the worst warranty company to go with. All they care about is taking your money any way they can. My car went into a shop for an AC compressor and control arms. That shop had never done business with Veritas. They approved the repair for the control arms but not the compressor, after my car was there for over 2 weeks. Constant run around and taking as much time as possible knowing I did not have another vehicle and I have kids. After I got the control arms fixed, I took the car to Nissan and within 1 day the AC compressor was approved. So now I have to pay another $200 deductible after I just paid a $200 deductible to the first repair shop. Nissan requested repair of the shocks as they are leaking oil and Veritas told them, "while we see there is oil leaking, it isn't enough to cause failure". That seems like a safety risk to me and guess what? Once it fails I will have to pay yet another $200 deductible to get it repaired! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS WARRANTY COMPANY!
Their auto protection plan is incredibly flexible, offering a range of options that cater to various needs. Whether you're looking for basic coverage or comprehensive protection, they've got you covered. The excellent coverage provided is both reliable and affordable, making it a top choice for any vehicle owner.
Terrible service. Claim process is very slow. They will do anything they can to delay the process to make you despair and pay out of pocket, or they will give nonsense excuses on delay reason. Been waiting almost two months just for them to confirm approval and ship the part my vehicle needs. Customer service is the worst I have dealt with. Maybe 1/10 reps will help you instead of saying "that's just how it is" I highly recommend to stay away from this warranty.
So I spent $4000 on the Premier plus top package. Had my car in for humming at higher speeds. I had the service station call the warranty company prior to anything being done. They only covered the deductible ($100) on a wheel bearing going out at 65,000 miles. I thought a deductible was my portion of the repair? What is the point of having a warranty if they don't cover anything? I guess that I am out $3900 plus the repair. Lesson learned, NEVER us them again! Hopefully this helps someone from making the same mistake I made!
M (Otsego, MN)
You can take out the most expensive plan they offer and there will still be parts they don't cover, even though it was sold as a bumper to bumper plan. Absolutely ridiculous and their print is extremely misleading when it comes to the part required to fix my vehicle. There customer service was absolutely not helpful, nor would they even look into the situation and continuously talked over me. They could've made it right but chose to look the other way. I will be cancelling this policy and capturing back the remainder of the money that is owed to me.
The name of this company should be veritas global scam! Wish I could give them ZERO stars.
Took my car to dealer after I found a huge oil leak.
Diagnosis was a leak in oil pan. Service tech said it needed to be replaced.
He submitted a claim to Veritas. They denied it immediately and said it must have been caused by over tightening plug. Dealer said that is 100% not the case and in fact, plug had been replaced a year ago. STILL Veritas denied claim. So we requested an inspector from Veritas be sent to review the problem himself. Veritas said NO. Their decision was final!
When I called Veritas to speak with a manager or someone higher up, they were disrespectfully dismissive and said the dealership had already requested it and their decision is final!
They literally have ZERO basis for denying my claim! ZERO. They are a SCAM! FRAUD! Total waste of money!
Put 20,000 miles on my benz. Performed 3 oil changes with proof refuse to pay for repairs saying there is sludge in the motor. Mechanic disagrees.
Rip off, paid 4000.00 for the warranty. No recourse paying for a dead car with a useless warranty.
Answer: Scammers get 4000.00 for a warranty and refuse to honor it. Beware
Answer: Dealer pushed it so I figured if they consider them reputable who am I. I should have looked for a more reputable company... my bad
