Tired of having to pay for a service that should be free in the first place. This site does exactly that.
Great site, didn't pay a dime. Told me the vehicle stats, recalls, accidents and on and on. I didn't see anything about a fee.
I was checking for a used car information. I knew the car was rebuild. This site gave me a basic and specific in formation for the VIN number I entered. This information was wider than any other "free" service but still missing some details like when and who rebuild it. May be the new owner did not provide it yet.
Great info that was free! Don't pay 40$ for car fax. Tons of info, some was a little redundant, but better than leaving out important info.
Great site- gave me all the data I needed as to the history of a car. One of the best values on the internet
Stumbled across this site and I am glad I did. Super useful to get a quick history on a vehicle. Invaluable!
If you want to know if a car that you are looking into has been in an accident, this is the place to be. You might still want to buy a Carfax, but at least you will know right away if the car has a rebuilt or savage title or if it has been in an accident.
I LOVE IT. It might not be as comprehensive as CarFax, but at least you see accidents details, and if the car has clean title or not.
I did a search for a free search for my vehicles history and came across and you tube video promoting this website, WOW! I figured that some during this process of putting in my truck information it would ask me to pay but NO! Thank you very much for the free report!
The information is the same and in most cases better detailed than a Carfax, and its free. The inter=face is a bit confusing at first and some of the headings can be misleading. For example any accident records are grouped with salvage records even if the incident did not even go to insurance. This can lead one to believe a vehicle has a salvage record when none exists. Otherwise the information is thorough and the history can be pieced together.
The only thing missing is service history, but that is available free at mycarfax.com. With this combination all the available information is free for making the best decision.
After searching for a site that doesn't claim that they offer a FREE VIN CHECK w/a report & then actually charge for it, I've finally found my new home for complete & thorough VIN history. This site's report provides more than just a brief summary about the VIN. There are vehicle history records (including odometer records, recalls, & warranty expirations). One really great thing is that the source of these records comes from the NMVTIS (National Motor Vehicle Title Information System). This is very beneficial to those considering to purchase a vehicle. This is because the NMVTIS is the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT'S database
I'm not sure why wouldn't give this site 5 stars. It's free. Period. No login information, no credit card information, nothing like that. It showed potential car purchases for me with their accident records, maintenance schedule, odometer records, etc. Why the heck are you paying for Carfax?
Got all the information i needed completely free of charge didn't have to pay dime. People need to understand that once you put your credit info in you will be charged. I didnt enter mine so I got free info.
So, i Usually run a vin thru 5-6 sites, making sure its all holding up with the Info. No need to do that anymore. VH had me 100% informed and fast too!
Gives great details about vehicles for free. A pretty comprehensive list of information for you and you don't even have to spend any money!
I've been buying very inexpensive vehicles off Craigslist - before I even go see the car, I always run the VIN on this site. Invaluable!
This site is my new go-to for details on potential vehicle VIN lookups. The site gives details on every aspect of the cars history. Perfect resource without spending money!
Thank you for the report on the vehicle we were looking to purchase. This was much better than paying so much through other sites!
Very easy to use... and will give you the info you need for free. I used it when i bought my las car from a private seller.
Found this site to be comprehensive and thorough and at a great price--free! If you're looking for info on a car, this site is the best place to visit.
