The appraiser is mostly relying on information that are already available online. I have membership with artprice and I can get the same info. The appraisal should be decisive and conclusive based on certain market trends and experience in painting and techniques. This will help in predicting future blue chip artists
I am very pleased with the ease of the website and the quick turnaround. This was for my personal knowledge and not for resale. I will definitely use this service again.
Overall good. Some improvements can be made. Would like more transparency on methodology of evaluation and qualifications of evaluation team behind. Thought the pricing was pretty comparison to the service provided. In terms of quantitative elements in the report prepared and presented.
As my items are very unusual, I wasn't sure if the site would be able to provide any information. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they had a specific name, and learned their origin and history. I am delighted with the information provided.
Thank you for the kind feedback Dan. We too are delighted to have been of such satisfactory service.

I had something of my parents that was unusual. I have used ValueMyStuff in the past and came right back to them! The appraisal was well written and informative. I am happy to know about the item. I will be passing it down to my kids some day! Thank you!
Thank you for your positive feedback Heather. We are delighted to have been of service to you. We enjoy reviewing and researching items for our clients and try always to provide some insight into each piece we value, no matter how unusual.

Obviously the person who reviewed this item is clueless to the history of the signers and the history of the Stella guitars.
For the era of Peter, Paul and Mary and Everly Brothers, a signed vintage Stella guitar that survived a tour in Vietnam would be the most perfect signing guitar, not an full size electric.
Stella guitars are highly collectable. They came back into vogue when a guy named Kurt Cobain talked about how much he liked them and he had a collection of them.
I think you could hav done way better on this one.
FYI
5 star company! Highly recommend this company for your appraisal needs. Simply email them a few photos your item and for a nominal fee, you'll get an email outlining the value your item, and attached will be a detailed appraisal certificate for your records and insurance purposes.
I will definitely use them again and recommend you do also.
My husband bought a clock at an estate sale because he loved the way it looked. After bringing it home, he was curious as to how much it was worth. I did an appraisal through Value My Stuff. The website was very easy to use and the appraisal I got was professional and detailed. The person who did the evaluation was very knowledgeable about clocks and I was very happy with the appraisal. I would recommend this company.
I was left 2 beautiful French chairs. But had no idea of authenticity or value. So I googled how to find value. Value My Stuff popped up. I went to site, seemed easy enough and price to value was very reasonable. I took and uploaded many pics. Within 48 hours I had a detailed appraisal and certificate. It also asked if I wanted to auction them but I didn't check that part out.
The review came in earlier expected so that was a positive suprise. The report is very standard. I asked to value a LV trunk I have. I hoped to get a bit more a details expertise since I believe our trunk is custom made. The value of the trunk seems to be only based on previous results on auctions and not really taking in account the (possible) value of the trunk. To be honest, that pre-study we did already ourselves. So we will redo the valuation exercise with an expert in LV trunks
I've had four pieces of jewelry appraised this way and they seem to be on point! I have been collecting and selling jewelry for several years and used to spend 100-150 to have different pieces appraised but I get similar results here as long as I give them accurate details.
Thank you!
I wonder if this business has gone out of business! One phone number was no longer valid; another kept stating "voice mail box full". Never could get ahold of anyone; never received the appraisal I requested. Was able to get my money back through my credit card company. Do not recommend this company!

Very happy with the service that gave me advice on a pair of vases that have been passed down the family. It helped to date them and confirm a family story about their origin (the valuer didn't know what I was looking for). I had tried to find out more information myself on Google, but after an hour of searching realised I wasn't getting anywhere and went to ValueMyStuff. The items are not particularly valuable, but it was well worth the fee to find out more about them and a piece of my family history.
This is a photo of a painting by an Australian aboriginal artist that I sent to be appraised. I had lost my paperwork over the years and wanted to know if the artist could be identified and what the value was. ValueMyStuff got back to me in one day with the name of the artist confirmed and the certificate and value. It meant a lot to me to be able to read again about the amazing woman artist who created this painting that I purchased in Sydney twenty years ago. Being able to read about Eunice Napangardi and her work has made the piece even more precious to me. Five stars and I will definitely use them again.
ValueMyStuff's response was quick and complete. In just a couple of days they confirmed the potential value of my item but also acknowledged that it should be authenticated by a specialist to be sure. Value My Stuff's appraisal was based on photos and information I provided. Value My Stuff was honest and above board in appraising my item.
Thank you for your positive feedback James.

The gentlemen that responded to my email was very helpful, courteous and very professional. The appraisal was done very quickly. Emails were sent to get more information on the item (much appreciated as I had no information) really went out of his way to help me with my appraisal.
The valuation was performed on time, however it was very basic. The item I valued has initials of a person who made it, no indication of an author was included. The information provided I could find online myself. Not worth £25.
I have used valuemystuff several times over the years to help me value and describe furniture that I want to sell. They have always been super quick and helpful on the response. I look forward to my next evaluation from them.
Thank you for your positive feedback and repeat custom. It is our pleasure to be of service to you.

The estimation of the value of our silver cutlery case was quick, smooth and professional.
I wished that the reviewer had provided more background information and context. The piece was not particularly valuable from a dollars and cents standpoint. But culturally and historically it came from somewhere or from China and I look to VMS to tell me more. I learned from another expert that foo dogs are actually lions and we just say foo dogs in the west. I would have appreciated a bit more description of how they came to be guardians in China. I just felt the expert was brief because the piece was not so valuable.
Thank you for your feedback. Whilst some items have more of a story to tell than others, we will always do our best to meet your expectations.
Please contact us on Info@valuemystuff.com
We will be pleased to review the report and provide further insight into Foo dogs if possible.

To explain if we may, only certified appraisals offer information on the specialist. These are signed and are available from other service providers at significantly greater cost than our modest fee. Prices can often range into the 100s.
Our mission statement is 'Expertise for Everyone'. We strive always to keep our fees as modest as possible to give access to everyone.
Whenever possible our specialists will try to provide comparable prices of similar items sold. However unfortunately the market is not that accommodating, so that often no direct comparison is possible.
More often it is the many years each and every one of our specialist has, combined with their up to date knowledge of the market which informs the values.
We hope to have the pleasure of working with you again.
