This was my second evaluation of an item through ValueMyStuff. This may have been a little trickier since the item in question dates to about the early 19th century. It was not as thorough as the first review I had done, but it hit the highlights and gave me a basis for an accurate value. The 48 hour turnaround time is reliable and welcome. Great service!
I purchased 3 credits. My first appraisal was the most thorough I could have asked for! Just submitted my second item for appraisal. Expect the same great detail and service. Love Valuemystuff!
Took me 3 tries to finally register/login. Not sure why.
It was extremely easy to request an appraisal - and I got the response very quickly and as promised, with far more detail than I submitted. This is the 2nd time I've used your service and am quite satisfied.
Thank you for your positive feedback Linda and for your repeat custom.
We hope to have the pleasure of being of service to you again.

They say get an appraisal in 48hrs. But it's been 4 days. I called the number on their website *******874 and you get a message "Unable to come to phone, please leave a message"
But mail box is full. Good thing I didn't pay for the 24hr. Appraisal.
I see others have had the same issues/complaints, why do they advertise you'll get a response in 48hrs. They are quick to take your money, but offer no customer service?
Dear Pamela, we are sorry to hear you have had trouble contacting us. Can you please provide us with your customer refference number and a customer service rep will get in touch right away. You can either send a private message hear or email info@valuemystuff.com.
Very Best,

I found what I thought was a unique original signed oil painting at an antique shop but when I googled the artist I found several painting that were similar and some were being sold for much higher prices than the asking price of this painting. I was tempted to take a chance and buy it but decided to seek an online appraisal from Value My Stuff. Come to find out all the ones that were like this painting that actually sold, only sold at auction for what the dealer was selling this one for.
I was very pleased with the experience and needless to say they saved me some money.
I've used your services before. This evaluation was for my sister. She asked me if I could put her Bowl on Facebook to see if anyone would know it's worth (she's 75) I told her in essence your asking our cousins to value it. I told her about your service. She sent me the pictures and I set up the appraisal for her.
Not only did they correctly value my "stuff" but they also provided me with contacts where I could sell the watch. I couldn't have asked for more. Very grateful for that.
For reference, if you're looking to sell your timepieces, Paul Duggan in Boston is your guy. Over 30 years in business and extremely polite. Hope to do more business in the future. Thanks again!
Among the long list of things that need to be done to settle an estate is attaching value to assets. In our families' case, there were items that we knew had some value, but how much? These items included sculpture, and prints and other artwork that has great sentimental value and will likely not leave our family. But still, lawyers need to know the value.
I found this site and was impressed with the ease of use. I enjoyed the step by step process that also assisted in good methods for staging items for photographing.
I was impressed with the pedigree of the experts involved with assessing items.
The customer service end of this operation is excellent. I was responded to immediately and follow up was helpful.
I provided a detailed description of the item that I wanted to be valued, including its provenance and backstory regarding how it was discovered and eventually signed by the sports legend to whom it is associated. The item is truly one-of-a-kind and is related to a unique and amazing major championship title having been won by a female in a male dominated sport. I would guess that the appraisal value is low by at least 2 orders of magnitude.
I find it comical that this feedback/review questionnaire include a "Did you contact ValueMyStuff for any customer service issues?" button because there's no way to contact ValueMyStuff.
I retrospect the ValueMyStuff website has the feel of a scam site.
Thank you for your feedback John.
As per our email correspondence, your item is simply not worth as much as you were hoping. Our specialist has many years experience, his opinion can be relied upon. The item you presented, while unique, is not something that most collectors in the field have yet come to see as desirable.
We regret this meant you felt you had to write a negative review, however we must and will always be honest - our clients rely on our integrity.

I uploaded photos of an old Japanese tapestry; the valuation and comment did come within 48 hours; it was pretty much as I had expected, and very thorough. When I had some difficulty in the beginning, Charlotte was quite helpful via email. I have no complaints and will probably use them again.
This was my first time using company, I was wary of online companies incase I was wrongly informed or perhaps misguided, I needn't have worried when using this company as I had, an honest reply, great advice and guidance on my valuation. Will use again and recommend to anyone like me who is unsure of valuations etc.
Thank you so much
Many thanks for your kind feedback Bridget!
Very efficient and friendly service! And give good reasons as to why it's the correct valuation, they know their stuff!
First, I tried to pay using credit card, but you wouldn't accept my postal zip code; so then i had to use my Paypal account. Not an easy process and I'm hoping that, as a first time customer, I won't be disappointed by your appraisal process; Second, now I did receive the appraisal. The only think I don't understand is about the weight of the gold. I'm pretty sure the value of the watch is based primarily on the weight of the gold. So, it raises the question about how can you appraise fine jewelry like this, when you don't know the weight. True, that's may fault for not giving it to you or knowing that info. But, now I'm wondering if I need to get a second appraisal where the weight and purity of the gold is taken into account.

Very unhappy with this appraisal. It was a biased "opinion" rather than an unbiased appraisal. Now that I realize they aren't based in the USA it makes sense as to why the appraiser had no knowledge of Marble Arms. But it still was terrible. Definitely would never use again or recommend to anyone. I should note that they gave me a full refund since I was so unhappy. Still not happy with the appraisal but at least they did right by me.
Dear Sharon,
As per our private correspondence, may we again offer our assurance that our specialist’s comments about hunting were in no way their personal bias. Rather, they sought to explain that hunting scenes are not considered desirable by modern buyers. On the whole, they are not fashionable anymore. This significantly impacts on saleability and therefore, value. Providing our clients with information on how we come to our estimates is an invaluable part of our service.
Although - as you stated in your emails - hunting is a way of life for you, it is not to everyone’s taste and buyers express their personal preferences, or bias, as you may wish to interpret it when acquiring art.
We were pleased to hear you have since received a higher estimate and reiterate our hope your works sell well.
We were happy to provide the refund, as, despite repeated assurances that no bias played a part in our appraisal, we were unable to regain your confidence.
Please do contact us again, if we may be of any further assistance.

The appraisal was very detailed, and I learned so much about my piece of furniture. Very professional and received a certificate. Love how the process was cost effective! Very easy - website and user friendly.
After buying 5 credits & submitting 2 items for appraisal I have to say I'm disappointed.
This company provides a general appraisal that is not certified so you don't know who truly looks at your items. This is my mistaken and I was not aware there was a difference until I contacted customer service.
I'm not quite sure what purpose this generic type of appraisal would be used forsince it is not certified.
The appraiser was very thorough, professional, and accurate in her assessment of the subject property.
I have an antique doll I was looking to get rid of and I found ValueMyStuff in on online search. It was super easy to upload photos and the very limited information I had and within 48 hours I got back a very detailed report on my doll's maker, history, and potential auction value. It was easy and really helpful.
I recently had several appraisals done on some Snuff bottles that I inherited. I knew nothing about them so I had no idea of their worth. The appraisals were done quickly and in a very professional manner. The explanation of each one was very detailed. Thanks, Bob R.
While two of the three appraisals came back less than I had hoped, the explanations as to the reasoning for the value was extremely fair and acceptable. We all think our stuff is worth more due to sentimental value, right? When I had classified one as porcelain instead of sculpture, I reached out, they reevaluated and provided a new appraisal.
Thank you for your kind feedback Kevin. We strive always to meet our client's expectations and are delighted to have been of such exemplary service to you.
We hope to have the pleasure again in the future.
