I had over $1,000 of bogus charges put on my US Bank credit card, including some very obvious bogus charges (five charges at one restaurant in a single day!). And yet, after their "review" and "research", they gave me a credit of just $150! They don't protect you from fraud - they focus on nothing more than just getting paid. Can you imagine that they wouldn't cover any dollars stolen from your bank account? I absolutely could see them not covering what you lost! I would avoid this company at all cost - no credibility or integrity!
Called for a simple request, the Banker was actively assisting me and we were disconnected. Called back 2 more times, no one assisted me; first time due to lack of listening skills; and the 2nd person was away from their phone. Can't wait until my vehicle lease ends, I'll be working with my personal bank next time
I had been fairly satisfied with US Bank until recently. A fraud alert placed on my user name. Couldnt tell me why, couldnt access my account. Trip to physical bank couldnt help. First call said to wait 24 hr for the hold release, then it was 48 hr. Cant pay bills. Headed out of the country for a trip and unable to handle bills before Ieave. Staff at physical location are very helpful. Started when tried to make a zell payment
I have 2 big direct deposits going to US bank, every month. I just recently opened an account, and i did not know about the policy that they take $15 after 6 transactions from savings. They charged me $45 in ONE day for a fee! When i asked them kindly to return my money, they said no. That is WAY too expensive. I do not recommend saving your money at US bank. Especially with the COVID-19 crisis. They absolutely do not help their customers.
US Bank robbed me of over $400. This is my social security disability money that I live off of. They stole it. Customer service are a bunch of monkeys. I was misled by over 10 phone calls with customer service. (If you can call it that).
They are thieves and I'm reporting them.
Have been a customer with this bank for years, but the customer service is the WORST I have ever endured. RUDE customer service & Fraud people to deal with. Transferred multiple times, hung up on multiple times, and 3 hours on the phone just today. They won't let you explain a problem or try to resolve anything. Will dump this bank as soon as possible for a more helpful bank that believes in customer service.
They closed my account without any warning! They said they sent a letter 2 months before to verify my information and they didn't get a reply. So in 2 months no calls, emails, text, or follow up letters. In which the supposed letter I never received in fact for the 10 years I've been a customer with them they never did this why now? They are going to loose a lot of business this way! I hope they go under in this economy, I'll be the first one to cheer! Oh yeah last email I got from these basterds was 9 months ago, yes I checked my spam too.
I make 6 figures and my credit score is over 800. We applied for a mortgage loan with them and 2 other places. They had the lowest interest rate so we tried to stick with them but they kept asking for unrealistic and non existent paperwork in order to get approved, every time we submitted something they came back in requested another 15 items. Some of these items we already submit it to them and others we couldn't even obtain. I cannot think based on this that it can only be discriminatory. We were approved by the other two banks and even though those had higher interest rates we ended up going with them because this bank continued to have us running around in circles. There is no reason with my income and credit score I should not have been approved. We gave them everything they asked and then they started asking for things that did not exist, which is obviously impossible. I've had no issues with any other bank and have had several houses as well as rentals that I've financed.
I'm old school. Don't want to go online to check bank info. I would call and use the automative system. No problems. I could make sure that my transactions went through and that my balance matched their. Then they changed it. Said it was to improve the experience. It sucks. It doesn't work. Why in the world did you attempt to fix something that didn't need fixing. I have to speak to a person now or pay your bank for a statement. I think its time to open a bank account with someone else
Customer service dept awful. Very poorly trained... in process of cancelling card... credit card purchase disputed... took four phone calls to verify payt from us bank to vendor... last contact with us bank rep. She was unpleasant and unprofessional
US Bank is my mortgage lender and it has been the worst experience I have ever had. They are rude and not one person will tell you the same thing, everytime I call someone tells me something different. They lie and refuse to give their names so you can ask for the same person next time you call back. We were supposed to close on our house and couldn't cause US Bank was taking too long to send one document to the title company. The supervisor said she will review it when she has time. Don't bank with them cause they don't care and won't help.
O start closing my accounts with them. If you have a credit score of 580 they will not help you. If you need small loans you can pay back they don't care they won't help you. I'm done with backs that back talk their customers and treat them like trash. This bank did exactly that today. I will be looking for a new bank.
I regularly deposit large amounts into my checking account due to many home improvement projects. The money is from my investment account. This last time they held my deposit for 7 days + with no explanation. The check cleared my investment account and is now being held by US Bank without any recourse. This is so unfair. I cannot pay my bills, I definitely will close my account and find another bank once I have my money.
Your set up is horrible. I would like to get to my accounts as soon as possible. Instead it's like a maze to get through and most of the time you spend is hunting your your accounts. You're priority is new customers. Good luck to them. I have mentioned several times to help change things for us your clients but you just don't do a thing to improve it for us. Terrible way to keep your customers.
They like to pretend that their practices, (which includes things like ARM interest rates a full 300% above the prevalent APR, no notification of increases in a ARM, etc.) They design it to fail, and then they pretend like it's your fault. This is, I'm my opinion, a criminal org that will play a huge role in the crippling of this economy once and for all.
I got caught by these always-hungry vultures because the bank I originated with sold to them. I never worked have gone along with it had I known US Bank was going to be involved. Clear back in the 1980s, their predecessor was known to have been an aggravating factor in the farm crisis of that era. I'm sure they they'll come behind once again when their own practices break them. I don't care anymore. I got no home. No skin in the game anymore
I've been a credit card holder at this bank for nearly twenty years. I hadn't used the card in several years and therefore only logged in to the account every few months to check activity. Unfortunately I was charged an annual fee recently and missed the payment two months in a row. US Bank never bothered to contact me. Now, they closed my account and will likely report the non-payments to the credit bureau. This lack of customer service is appalling. It's no wonder US Bank is so poorly rated by consumers.
US Bank offers the absolute worst banking experience I have ever experienced or witnessed. My husband and I have been stranded without money in foreign countries because of locked cards despite informing them of detailed travel plans, and it is near impossible to talk to a customer to get a card lock lifted. It's even been locked when trying to get cash at ATMs within our home state. Absolutely TERRIBLE. They also admitted to me that they purposefully order checks coming through a checking account by largest first, and they do not process deposits until the next day if deposited after 1pm, so even if you deposit money to cover checks going through the same day, the biggest one might bounce, meaning that check and every one after will incur a horrendous fee. Scam artists. They should be jailed.
I have personal and business accounts and credit cards with USBank. I spent many simple hours solving some problems. Here are some examples. International wiring did not go through. Repeating the same instructions, then it did. That costed me hours and multiple trips to the branch office. My online portal did not see my employee credit cards. That took me repeating my problem to five agents on phone to resolve the issue. Each time the agent understood my problem and transferred to another who had no idea. Clearly, this bank has many systemic problems. It is a dinosaur, compared to other banks. Very frustrating.
I have had the same account for over 20 years. I received notice last week that US CCP bank was closing my accounts. I called and asked for an explanation. The lady told me I would receive an explanation in the mail. Two weeks later no explanation. I asked for another week so that I could transfer balances and rearrange prepaids. NO. I'm speechless but not surprised. Too big to fail. This is not a safe place for your hard earned assets.
I have always been extremely impressed with the quality of USBank employees that have helped me with website problems, mortgage help, credit card fraud and general questions online. Superb, intelligent, kind, courteous. They always find a way solve any problem quickly. I'm 75 and I'm slow and picky! I am a long-time customer.
Answer: U.S. Bank is NOT A SCAM! I've been banking with US Bank for over 18 years, and unlike many banks (TCF in particular... who's process may have changed by now since they got sued over it) US Bank counts your deposits first, checks or debits against your account second. If you know how to use Google, and you can find a branch by you, you will get the help you need. The statements by Joe B. Are insanely false and ridiculous. I have 2 checking accounts, 3 savings account and 2 US Bank Visa cards, I've never had an issue doing what I needed to do with regard to any of these accounts, and if I did have a question, they were easy to reach and always helpful. I am NOT currently a fan of their mobile app as they've kept updating it to a point where bill pay is messed up, but otherwise it has been most useful for transferring money and managing my balances. I've traveled the country and never had an issue getting money when I needed it, or handling my finances. And the bill pay on their website has helped me manage my monthly payments (house, utilities, loans) with ease, which was suggested by a US Bank customer service rep... which until recently, was very effective even through the mobile app. And just for the record, I've been buying groceries (and countless other things) at Walmart for 20 years... guess how I paid for it.:-) In general, over 18+ years, I can absolutely recommend US Bank. And no, I don't work there, I'm just a customer who opened an account there because it was across the street from where I worked at the time.
Answer: At the time, it was convenient because it was across the street from where I worked. I've stayed with them because they have always come through for me. Customer Service is easy to contact at 1-800-US-BANKS. Or you can find a branch where you live at USBank.com. And NO, I don't work there, I'm just a customer that knows how to use Google, the internet, a keyboard... c'mon people, use the hat rack on your shoulders.
Answer: Why are you asking people in a forum?! Call the bank and ask them! Here is a place to start: https://www.usbank.com/about-us-bank/customer-service.html
Answer: I had to buy US Bank checks recently. Two boxes cost me $40.80
