If you are registered with Upwork than surely you are going to earn especially It is an industry which is working in this COVID pandemic. And Upwork gives you the platform to showcase your skills and by completing tasks you can earn the money which you have asked for so so no wrong negotiation as well you do not need to take part in any unwanted marketing and lead generation stuff as its project market place. It's like do fishing in the sea which is full of fishes.
The problem with Upwork is that they make it verrry difficult for freelancers who are new to get hired, because Upwork makes metrics recommendations to clients when they are posting their available jobs. These recommendations are things like hire only "rising stars" or hire only freelancers who have a "90% job success score" - and in order for a freelancer to be included in either of these categories, they have to have a certain number of jobs under their belt which is impossible to do if clients won't hire you because you don't have a certain number of jobs under your belt. Much better results on freelancer.com.
Upwork is one of the best platforms for remote work and coordination. The customer service is excellent. The platform offers opportunity for freelancers from various backgrounds. Upwork is trustworthy and easy to use. The interface is one of the best for clients and freelancers.
As a freelancer, I did work on different platforms. This site is different. Very professional platform for professional persons. As a new freelancer on upwork, I did 2 jobs and both clients were good, friendly, and professional.
I would be happy if I can work here for a long time.
Upwork is full of scammers and cheap clients who are paying penny's for the work. Upwork nowhere stands in front of Elance. UI is horrible and you are unable to find-out which client is good or which is bad.
Please avoid this down-market platform.
I love Upwork, it changed my life for good. Actually not only for me but for my entire family. Because of the opportunities im gettng in Upwork from time to time, I can provide necessary things and earn a bit at the same time.
I have spent millions of dollars on ELance. Being forced to leave sucks. I think I will hire someone on Upwork to replace Upwork. It sucks. Running side-by-side searches, upwork does not have as good results. Then they try to sell you 20% fees. And they raise all the other fees from 8 to 10 %... sucks!
I was a paid eLance member for more than 6 years and then one day I received an email from eLance that they closed my account. It happened to me a few days ago. Elance will not explain *why* the account was closed. The email isn't specific. There was no warning. Elance did not alert me to any problems beforehand, did not give me the chance to correct whatever was wrong. Elance just closed the account.
Six years of membership fees and all the surcharge money eLance received from the jobs that were awarded to me, and then they close accounts without warning and without explanation.
Customer loyalty means nothing to eLance. Stay away from eLance!
I'm a freelancer on Upwork. I have been using Upwork for a little over a year. I love the marketplace for finding work. From small projects to long-term contracts Upwork is a place for freelancers to thrive.
I love this platform. I work here as a freelancer and I think this platform is going to change the online work market sooner or later for the good. This platform has very unique hidden potential and many mutually shared benefits for the freelancers, the professionals, and the clients.
It is going to be better and better with the passage of time. The feedback system after each job is very active and good.
Upwork works!
And this is already a huge issue. Furthermore, they have a support team that is ready to help and solve any problems you may have whether with the platform, clients or payments. Just ask for help. Another advantage is vastity of clients you may find, and work with.
After this, and once the platform provides you with a lot of information about previous works from those clients, and others, you really get to choose if that´s a good fit for you, or not. Follow the rules, and you´ll be able to build a professional path.
Thank you, Upwork.
After working on my portfolio I just applied for a job on upwork and I instantly got the job and it was great working experience i have on upwork. Its easy, secure and reliable source of income for freelancers.
Read the bad reviews and you'll know everything you need to know about UpWork. This form requires me to type a minimum of 100 characters. So I'll repeat: Read the bad reviews and you'll know everything you need to know about UpWork.
We won the arbitration against the upwork freelancer but upwork did not refund the money after many weeks we were granted the award from american arbitration association confirming refund of $1,626 but have not received the credit from Upwork after 4 weeks
At first it looks a promising place for a small business to hire a professional. Once post a job, their support cancels account stating that it is violating Terms of Service. Not specifying how and what exactly is violating TOS. Support is terrible and fails to address the issue.
Its safe working over here. Its much better then freelnacer.com because after project competition there is always a risk that money reversal can happen and because of that we are always at loss, we give all the work to them and in the end money belongs to you which seems unfair. Some change defiantly is required in your policy which is unfair towards freelancer who actually work on it. Because of your policy we have lost around 300$. This thing is never traced on elance. Good site to work :)
They let you have all the ease of the work and you don't need to bother about anything but work. They take care of everything else. You find the work you love, get selected for the work and that is it.
-- To freelancers
I love Upwork's terms of service. Some freelancers might think it's too uncomfortable while using it. But actually, it's to protect all works and payments there. Highly recommend Upwork to freelancers. You'd better start work on Upwork with your new clients outside. Upwork will be the trustable third party to you.
-- To Clients
There are so many competitors there, though I feel happy to race with them. Clients would meet well-skilled freelancers on Upwork and get great deliveries. And Upwork will be a responsible third party between us. Hope we'd meet together there.
--- FYI, I suggest you study the Upwork policy carefully before beginning your work there.
When I start working upwork i felt difficult because of limited connects. And after I buy the connects Easy to find job, and hopefully the upwork give free connects to all freelancer so that we will work easy and to find client and we will income both sides.
I use Upwork to find most of my work and I love it. There's plenty of work. The rates are good and the fees are fair. I recommend Upwork for everyone looking for work above every other site.
Thanks Upwork.
Answer: They are horrible. Every freelancer I've gotten from Upwork has cost me more to fix the small job they have done. There's absolutely no customer service! I would stay away
Answer: This is not the place to inquire.
Answer: No, just 20% of your job when we talk about fixed price, and same for hourly but after some week it's been 10%
Answer: Go to Settings › Contact Info › Click the Close my account link. If you meet the requirements, click the button to confirm that you want to close your account.
Answer: I am a customer and have had a really horrible experience. Upwork claims a 100% guarantee before you pay anything. That is not true. The process is actually quite horrible. You put money in escrow. You only get your money back after a bad contract if the freelancer agrees to release the money. If the freelancer refuses, you get a bargain offer to still pay them something but still you are paying for a bad job you can't use. Then, if you refuse to bargain over a bad job, you are told that it will cost you an additional $389 to arbitrate with a 3rd party affiliate that the customer (me), the freelancer (scammer) and Upwork (ripoff enabler) has to pay. I took it all the way to arbitration with the end result being that Upwork decided that I was just too uninformed to know their policy and that they would give me a one time only refund of my original amount. What they didn't tell me what that they just gave me a "credit" of my original amount and that was the end. So I am still out the original amount and can't get my money back. This sight is a ripoff. Plain and simple.
Answer: Because of their policy changes which are geared towards the client rather than the freelancer. They have dug their own grave with their policy changes of late.
Answer: Go to Get Paid on PC or Mobile, you will see 3 dots in front of your payment method, tap to select edit/remove to change them. Go to Billing Method on PC under Billing Section and tap three dots to change (edit/remove). Thanks
Answer: Be part and see, dont look at the sold mine reviews people, upwork can bush you to reach.
Answer: I agree with Sam. This place is a scam. They have bad reviews everywhere. Katrina is probably working for them!
