You won't find a better relocation service than this one, and the team's dedication to their work helped us to conclude the move without any trouble.
I was treated with courtesy and expertise throughout the entire process. It's the happiest I've ever been.
While I was relocating, Kevin and the crew were a pleasure to work with because they were both productive and jolly companions.
We engaged United Regions Van Lines for our move from WA to TN, but the experience turned into a nightmare, leading us to file complaints with BBB, FTMC, Attorneys General offices, a news station, and the FBI. Our complaints encompass allegations of extortion, coercion, deceptive billing practices, and unethical conduct. The movers, arriving a day late with poor communication, coerced my wife into signing additional paperwork, threatening not to move items without her compliance. They adjusted the price multiple times with unclear explanations.
1. Intimidation and price Adjustments:
My wife was coerced into signing additional paperwork on moving day, with papers disappearing and new ones brought for signing repeatedly. One mover was intimidating her under already stressful circumstances.
Repeated adjustments to the price without clear explanations.
Phone representatives and apparent manager yelling at us on the phone.
Discrepancies between the Binding Estimate Contract and subsequent Bill of Lading.
2. Unexplained Charges:
Movers disassembled items initially counted as one item, charging for individual components under 'miscellaneous,' causing exponential item increases and subsequent costs.
Items wrapped without notice, with charges applied; despite being told we could pack and wrap as desired.
Charges for packing supplies. Price changes allegedly due to weight issues (making us split boxes up, though weight was not supposed to be a factor) along with supposed increased square footage on their truck and stacking limitations, lacking adequate explanation or evidence.
3. Communication Issues:
Lack of transparency and explanations during the moving process.
4. Third-Party Involvement:
United Regions Van Lines used unauthorized third-party movers (EZ Way Logistics Inc.) citing the contract allows it but we had no verbal communication about this and we have no contract documentation indicating this is permitted. They state they may have 'misplaced' documents.
Refusal to reassemble items at delivery, contradicting the contract terms.
Insistence on cash payment without specifying physical currency, resulting in unhappiness with Venmo and Zelle payments.
5. Lack of Documentation:
Failure to provide receipts and detailed documentation despite multiple requests.
Questions about the validity of the digital copy of the final Bill of Lading, highlighting discrepancies between signed documents.
Requests for refunds and reimbursement for damaged goods have gone unanswered, leaving us with legal recourse. We caution others to avoid United Regions Van Lines, hoping our experience serves as a deterrent from the nightmarish encounter we endured.
My belongings were a big hassle to move, but with the professionals like them from FL to CA felt like it was nothing. Highly recommended them.
Did everything efficiently in one big sweep! I have got to applaud them for their devotion! Bravo to them all!
These movers are straight-up the best! They handled my stuff like moving rock stars, Bravo to these movers, seriously!
They showed up, worked quickly and carefully, and got it done in 2 hours. They were extremely friendly and diligent.
Timely arrival. Movers loaded the furniture. Wrapping the fragile essentials. Easy move! No complaints, no mishaps.
On time, neatly dressed, and just on schedule! The movers worked efficiently and finished the task on time. An outstanding adventure.
No other moving business comes close to matching their level of dependability and trustworthiness. Stellar work!
The crew was accommodating, punctual, and thoughtful throughout my move. Will used them again in future moving needs!
The moving team rocked. Even my clothes and shoes were packed with their assistance, ensuring that nothing was misplaced or harmed.
Professional movers who exceeded our high standards. The service was excellent from start to finish. Very recommended
Their team's expertise in handling high-value items was impressive, giving me peace of mind throughout the entire process. A+ service, hands down!
These movers had some serious muscle! They moved my heavy furniture like it was made of feathers. Big ups to the crew for their strength!
These guys were unbelievably kind! They addressed all my concerns, and I'm satisfied with their service. Mad props to them!
When we first received our quote, it was pretty low. I assumed it would increase when we had the final box total. They used our Zillow post and so they could see all of our furniture so it should have been close. By the time they landed the truck it was nearly 4 times the quote.
The guys who loaded the truck were professional and organized. We had already packed all of our household goods so it should have been a fairly easy pick up and delivery. We set are delivery date about 5 days out to allow us to get to Florida and close on our home. The movers told us to just contact dispatch and they would set our delivery for after 12 on that day given that we close on ourbhome at 10AM. We were singing and happy as we drove away. Then we called United and it went downhill fast.
Flash to our call with the company. "OH we definitely won't have it there on the 1st. It can take up to 17 days to deliver. It's a short move so it shouldn't take that long but it could. John should have told you that". At no point neither on the contract or during the many calls to United prior to them picking up our shipment was 17 days ever discussed. We would not have signed with them. They told us this AFTER the goods were away from our home and essentially held hostage. It has been 10 days now and they still have not been able to give us a delivery date. We have had to buy so many items just to avoid having an enormous hotel bill. We are basically camping out in our new home with none of our supplies. Duped by United.
The practices of this company are very deceptive. I have moved nearly 20 times as a military spouse and never have I had such abhorrent customer service after a signed contract. They were a day late arriving to pick up our goods and we were very accommodating. I would suggest asking a lot more questions before giving any money to this company. Let the buyer beware. Learn from my mistakes. Your "first available drop off date" means nothing. They will take their sweet time and get to it when they feel like it. Get multiple quotes (preferably at your home) and get a guarantee on the delivery date. United is fast and loose with the truth.
The crew from United Regions Van Lines meticulously covered my floors and walls to prevent any damage during the move.
Answer: They are a legit company who is reckless with the truth. They lie to get the job and then leave with with no idea when your goods will arrive
Answer: The price and the original customer service in order to get the contract was great. The movers are good. The price went up tremendously and then they told us it would take up to 17 days to get our stuff. This was AFTER the truck pulled away. We were told it would be ready for us to receive on the date we requested.
Answer: Mine too. Totally agree with you. It was a bait and switch no one told us that the stuff would be taken off the truck and moved to a warehouse with no ETA on delivery.
