This review is aimed at Uber drivers and I give you the alert to pay attention to the big scam that I just realized as an Uber Eat driver: When the call for a delivery appears on your screen, the rate that you are going to earn appears on your screen. You do the work of picking up the food and dropping it off at the customer's address. A few days ago I realized (I had not paid attention before and had trusted the application) but I was surprised that all the deliveries I made in three days were half and less than half of what was offered, example: a delivery of $7.28 I received $3.08, another of $9.00 I only received $3.5, so after more than 13 miles and tolls my "earning" would be $2.00, which does not pay for a gallon of gasoline, when I call Uber help regardless of transfer me to more than 4 people and more than 2 hrs, their give me different explanations such as: the client did not give you or regretted the tip; something false since that voluntary amount is after delivery and depends on how you have done your work. Drivers, check and if someone else is happening to you, make your defenses and make it public since if we multiply these "differences" in the amounts offered and that are charged to users, the theft or scam amounts to billions of additional dollars that Uber makes its drivers… be careful
Uber somehow decided that I didn't pay €41 for the trip I took a year ago, but I did pay for it after I sent help request five times, finally one of the agents said yes it's paid, but they never removed the outstanding balance. Yesterday I sent another request, explaining the situation, they didn't even really read my email Then said you have to pay that €41 house and there's no phone that I can call everything is online, horrible horrible
I've been very happy with Uber service since I started using it in Vancouver a year ago. This week I've had 2 pre-booked rides cancelled at the last minute. Very disappointing & frustrating as we had important medical appts & were left scrambling for another ride. When we got another Uber, it was more than double the price. Uber should not offer the service to pre-book if it can't be reliable with it. It caused unnecessary anxiety. Not impressed. I'd rather use Uber over taxi service but may return to taxis, more reliable afterall.
The driver canceled and I was still charged a cancelation fee by Uber. Uber does not have a phone number to call, and their online "help" system does not have a category for this situation. This has happened to me in both the US and in Mexico. A total ripoff!
We took 3 Uber rides this evening. We waited a while for our 1st 2 rides but understand no one has enough workers these days. We waited 2 hours for our last ride of the night and finally called a taxi. It was a lot of money but at least we got back. We would have happily paid Uber more if it would have meant getting a ride from them
Idk why but too much saturation on uber has resulted in drop of their service. Ride cancellation from the driver's is also increasing. They need to work on these issues.
I've been using Uber for 6 years with Diamond rating. Normally, when you tap your application to request for a ride, it will give you the normal price. Lately, after giving you the normal price of your trip but when it picks a driver, the price will change to, kid you not, 5 times! Worse than Halloween. I tried patiently to wait for 2 hours but it just keep going higher if not it will decrease but will tell you, "Pls confirm that you are accepting the higher price... 142 dollars for a 25 dollar ride.
Bye Uber
The cost of registering your car for uber is a bit high and I think that cost should be removed. I did a little enquiry in ghana about the registration and I think that should be removed since its not the uber company that is giving out the cars to people to work for them. I believe the service charge on each drive should be OK for the company to run. Sitejabber.com/user/paulasamoah07
Not satisfied with the service.
Many female drivers who are lost as soon as they are outside her zone
But sometime there is no more choices.
Uber do not offer a customer service to attend concerns that are not in their software menu.
Uber do not offer a telephone number to communicate
I feel that I not have a human contact. This is terrible!
If you add funds to your cash balance, they still charge your card for the full amount. If they can't charge your card, you can't use your cash balance. I had them refund my cash balance. If you use PayPal, you only get charged once, unlike with debit/credit cards, where you get charged twice and it's above the amount for your order/ride.
Tip for consumers:
Make sure you have funds on your card cause even if you have added funds to your balance, you won't be able to use that if they can't charge your card first. If you use PayPal, they charge the correct amount once. Other cards they charge twice and for more than what you were supposed to pay.

All in all, my experience with the Uber drivers has been favorable. It's the app itself that I dislike. The algorithm racks up the rate within minutes so there is clearly price gauging going on. Then, you get hit with messages after your trip about tipping, and how drivers are talking, as if to say, if you don't tip you will not get a ride next time. Then, even after leaving a tip, the app asks if I want to leave another tip! What?
Only had 1 bad experience in Miami recently where the driver went to the wrong hotel (yes, true) and then was saying he was here. The app showed a white vehicle. He was in a black vehicle, different make. Like dude, you could have easily texted me this information!
Users can easily book a ride on Uber, but the riders never pick up on time and always have misinformation of the destination that the customers want to travel.
This has happen twice now.
I put in a for a ride and the original driver is nearby then cancels or makes a u turn.
The last time I had a driver within 8 mins away and he cancels. I waited 40 mins for the 3rd driver. Uber is not that dependable.
Used to be good until drivers in remoter areas learned how to team up, and game the system. Available drivers turn down the fares, to create a backlog and drive the price up, and then they all accept them when they get above a certain threshold. Knowing people will have no choice but to pay
Which leaves you waiting 20 minutes for a ride connection, and paying 30% more
On Friday, March 3rd, 2023, around 9:30 to 10:00 AM CST, in Lees Summit, MO, an Uber assinged driver named Ernesto in Independence, Missouri, was heading to my location in Lees Summit, MO, but he stopped en route for >10 minutes on E. 39th St. In Independence, MO, finally he started coming again after I Uber texted him asking if there was a delay. He started coming again as I could track him in his blue Honda car on the Uber map. When he arrived, I was at the same pick up point I always use and for which the app says to use, but he sped right past me, twice, as he sped around the hotel I was at, and he blew dangerously past me at between 40 and 50mph in the hotel parking lot on his way out of the hotel parking lot which was in a slow hotel loading and unloading zone. I waved my hands and he drove around me on purpose, so I know he saw me, but he sped away. He was already more than 10 minutes late when he arrived. Another Uber driver was immediately assigned by the Uber app but with another 20 minute wait. I will be rethinking using Uber ever again. I searched for a way to report Ernesto in the Uber app but a user can only report their actual driver. Since he did not stop to pick me up, as he knew he was late, he knew he could not get a bad review from me. That needs to be a change made by Uber management. There is no Uber hotline that I could find, except for emergencies, so I will be copying and pasting this complaint in other places on the internet in hopes that someone who cares at Uber, might make a much needed change.
We recently went on a family vacation to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday. We traveled by rail, stopped in 5 different cities, and chose to use uber in these states. Chicago uber was the worst service I have ever received from any car service. At first, I thought the drivers were, among other things, rude, but it did not help that I was there the same weekend as Lollapalooza, which empowered the stink attitudes. Once when I said you parked too far, and I have luggage; can you back up, he proceeded to remove the baggage I had already placed in the back of his car and drive off while my back was turned, leaving my stuff on the road as I went to get other luggage. When I expressed how I was treated to other drivers, they explained the concert was in town and brought with it none native drivers into Chicago, and they do not know the place or care how they treat people. Uber, you have a long way to go to call yourself a company that cares about the customer service experience.
UBER does not pay their drivers enough. Driving somebody 2025 minutes for five dollars does not even pay for gas. And not to mention they advertise except the rides you want. So when we except rides that makes sense so we can make money it counts against us if we don't except all of them. For example, why would we except a ride, it takes 20 minutes to get to one person and they're only going 11 minutes. We don't make money on rides like that but yet it accounts against us if we don't accept it.
Uber has been a wonderful solution for me as I have no vehicle at this time. The drivers are all very professional. The only problem is that I live in a rural area and have problems getting home. Today I've been stuck for 7 hours and still don't have a ride home.
Uber was reliable in the beginning. Now there are too many drivers not keen on customer service and profesionalism.
I loved Uber when I first started in February of this year since then. But since then, I have been so annoyed. The maps are not accurate, leaving u to appear incompetent to customers. Not to mention I have wasted countless hours in areas that do not have Uber, and was given false information from the reps. Such as; Dublin Ga & Sandersville Ga. I also no longer get any Quest. And spend in gas the same amount I make. Ugh. Plus I have been in this area Georgia for over a month and they keep sending me Orlando promotions. Can't wait for the new companies that are coming out with food delivery.
I have been made late to work twice because of this. The first time, my driver wouldn't take me to my destination because "he didn't have time". I was informed of this immediately after getting in his car. I asked him "Why would you accept the fare without checking where the passenger is going first?" He couldn't speak English well enough to answer me. Another time I had a driver refuse to get on the highway (highway takes 15 minutes for me to get to work, back roads takes 30,35) despite me repeatedly telling him he was going to make me late for work. He didn't just answer me and just kept pointing to the map on his phone. I've taken this same trip literally a couple hundred times, and this was the only time a driver did not take the highway. Uber is a customer service based job, maybe stop hiring people who can't communicate effectively.
Needed a simple lift to the bakery, and this guys got lost lol even with GPS installed not sure what he was on, but basically took a 5 minute ride into a 15 minute ride. Not a big fan of Uber, don't use it much at this point.
Thank you for refunding the cancellation charge. And as I said, my first rides withUber have been a pleasure.
Now my more serious concern is being in physical danger when a driver cancels my ride home without warning or cause, will not allow me to re-schedule a ride, and leaves me stranded again, at night, far from home, anywhere in Cuyahoga County. Is there a solution for this very real danger?
This service is highly dependent on the time of day and who you get as a driver. Prices fluctuate tremendously so be careful. If prices are high, wait a few minutes and they might be lower. Ya just never know. I would say mostly better than a cab tho.
A transportation app that has come to improve on thé day to day runing of activities all over accra or Ghana
On Saturday February 9,2019 I was at the Costco wholesale store at the waterfront and I requested an Uber driver to return to my apartment. The Uber app said that the driver name was Asiha and the car was supposed to be a Red Dodge Avenger. Since the Driver arrived everything turned to be problems, first of all she arrived in a car that was not the one listed in the app, she arrived in a Grey Chevrolet Malibu, then she get lost trying to get out of the waterfront and she said that the GPS was crazy and she does not know how to get out there. My roommate and I had to told her how to get out there, then when we finally get on route to my apartment the GPS started working and she took a different route that was not the one that the Uber app was telling her to take. Once again, she got lost and in order to get back in track, she made a horrible U turn putting our life in danger.
I´m very concern about this situation because the information that the app tells the customers about the drivers has to match exactly with the driver's description and also with the description of the car. The information given in the app does not match with the description of the car and this can be a very bad issue if we had any kind of accident during the trip. I encourage you to review this information to prevent anything bad to happen in the future and also to review the driver information to make sure everything is in order.
