Alex Melone not only did a fantastic job line editing our book but spent additional time on the phone with questions we had. Nick May spent countless hours (for a reasonable set fee!) formatting both digital and print version to our perfection and it looks beautiful. Highly recommend TypeRight Editing services.
I have used many copy-editing, proofreading companies so far. TypeRight was the WORST... When I complaint, the manager said he/she didn't understand my frustration, saying that they"ONLY proofread documents that have ALREADY been professionally edited". Why would I need copy-editing, if a document has been professionally edited? The manager also said" proofread will catch ONE or TWO errors per page." Haha... There are many other copy-editing, proofreading companies to try. I would NOT use TypeRight.

Nick May was my editor at Typeright and he did a wonderful job of making my novella more concise. He also caught potential plot holes; my beta-readers unfortunately did not! Nick was timely and accessible. He also taught me writing techniques that I plan to apply to my future manuscripts. I will definitely use Typeright for my future books!
There seems to be some miscommunication here: the client ordered a copy edit, and our editor made more than 1,000 changes to the 4,300-word academic document. Many changes were to improve fluency, as the author was a non-native English speaker. Despite the numerous changes we made (and I should note that the client did not find any errors in our edit), the client wrote to complain that the copy edit looked more like a proofread. We responded by clarifying that "proofreading" in the publishing world is defined as the last editing pass before publishing, which naturally takes place after a line edit or copy edit. We also asked for any examples of errors that the client found so that we could work toward a resolution. The client immediately left this review has not responded to us since.
