In theory, this would be a great site to work for. Good pay, relaxed atmosphere. They don't kill you with ten thousand rules. As long as you don't help students to cheat, you're good. If you're a good tutor who wants to help people, no problem, right?

Well, here's the downside, and it's such a huge one, I can't give the company more than two stars. You have to sit there and wait and wait and wait and literally stare at your screen when you sign in. Why, you ask? If you don't, you might miss one of the few opportunities you have that day to get work. Whomever grabs the gig first wins. I'll tell you, I have been trying to grab sessions for weeks now, and it's never me, regardless of how long I sit and stare at the screen or how fast I click on those damn buttons.

I can see how this benefits the company, but how are you going to keep any of your tutors when they have to spend 8 hours a day making a lousy ten bucks?

You're better off working for a company where you teach cute little children in China English, and that company charges your account back and does not guarantee you any work at all. I mean, if a tornado flattens your house and you cannot log into your session, they will charge you for missing the session. Yet, because they pay two dollars more per hour and you don't have to sit and stare at the screen for hoping of getting a few crumbs thrown your way, Tutorme.com really puts themselves at the bottom of the barrel in terms of attractiveness for tutors. Avoid this one like the plague. You're better off going to another company and earning less per hour, but it all evens out. At least you'll get paid to sit there and wait for people to tutor rather than sucking wind all day hoping to get just a few people to tutor. No guaranteed income here. No hope of earning anything decent after spending ten thousand hours in front of the computer waiting, waiting, waiting, and earning a few bucks.

Tutorme.com, if you fix this one thing, you'll be a great company to work for. Right now, you suck.
