Am writing a term paper on data brokers so did a search on myself. No criminal record, no graphic stuff in my background -- but you'd never know it from the enticing "warnings" and "alerts" that popped up while the search is executing. The alerts explicity say that "graphic content", "embarrassing" or "surprising insider information" may be in the report. Although the age and residential info was accurate, the "alert" messages are just scammy marketing laid on thick. Buyer beware!

Useless and inaccurate information, and failure to include existing court records. False advertising as TruthFinder does not tell you upfront that it charges for downloading the report.

I just looked up my own personal file; Truth Finder has me listed as some sort of criminal. I have NO criminal record. It also has me on a government watch list. Why would I be on a government watch list? I have not been in any protests or threaten anyone. I am retired and I stay home every day. They have people connected to me that I don't even know. The most I have received is a traffic ticket for going through a red-light district. It is not using my full name and your website had me living in Aubrey Texas, I NEVER LIVED IN Aubrey, TX.

Before you put some negative INCORRECT information on a Person, make sure it is true to facts.
We have used it twice-once with no useful information, the second on my mobile when a site with a different name took us to the Truthfinder site. In both cases, the number of pop-up requests to follow-up the searches is unceasing. I can't open either the computer or the phone without that popping up. Almost every time I change tabs. I can't find a way to unsubscribe. I didn't get far enough into the first to pay for anything and the second one I got off as soon as I saw the address.
Tip for consumers:
To be directed from another site without knowing it was to Truthfinder and then getting harassed without having input any of my information into either site should be illegal.

Allowed me to find adults who "associate" themselves to my teenage daughter falsely and inappropriately. Thank you truthfunder for helping me keep my daughter safe.

Thankfully they provided more information than I was initially looking for because it gave me a chance to see those who were trying to “associate” themselves to my daughter, disguising themselves as peers but in reality they were adults.

I just signed up for Truthfinder today and am cancelling it right away, I was trying to find someone that scammed me and hoping for their current address.they don't list their current address but previous ones that they say are current. I found no further information about them as well. I believe it is a scam!
Google search gave me more info for free.If this service would be free of charge I would understand. But they charge way too much to find out basic information.

There isn't anything in the reports that you can't find yourself for free. Most of the info isn't recent and some wrong information. Don't waste your money.

We googled someone, then checked the 'details' box. After going through about 15 minutes or more of answering questions, we get to the very end and find out we have to now pay to get the report. There was no mention of that up front, so we wasted 15 minutes of our lives for nothing. Thanks for nothing Truthfinder.

I reviewing criminal history of person of interest found MANY repetitions of same charge. Also charges were not in chronological order. Is there a technique for fixing that problem?

Do not use this company. The irony, a company that is called Truth Finders are total scam artists. I needed to look up a single person and I signed up with TruthFinder got all the information that was already available for free online. Nothing more, and I canceled the subscription the same day as I bought it, which you can do because it says "cancel at any time.". The following month I saw another charge so I cancelled again. This happened in November 2023 and in March 3024 I noticed another charge so I disputed just that charge because I didn't have any proof of cancellation. In the meantime American Express suggested I email the company. My email was answered quickly and the representative acknowledged that I cancelled in November and that she would make sure I was refunded, however, the only refund I received was the one I disputed to Amex.
Now this makes the situation even more outrageous, they attempted to charge me again in April and I was notified by Amex. They acknowledged my cancellation yet instead of refunding me, the continued to charge me. They were also charging around $29 a month and this most resent charge was for $34. I'm so glad they acknowledged my November cancellation in an email. Now I'll dispute all charges with American Express and report them to The NY State Attorney General and the BBB. I'm guessing they do this regularly!

I like using Truthfinder in my business; HOWEVER, when you have a billing issue (like being billed 3 times in one month for a membership where you should only be billed ONCE) they will not help you. The response I received was "talk to your financial institution because I don't see those charges." I was literally looking at my bank statement and she was telling me she could not see the additional $56.10 for August, September and October that Truthfinder had taken out. Suddenly it's MY problem to fix THEIR problem. Cancelled my membership right then and will never use again. BEWARE

Have used truthfinder and verified and all the others. Periodically through the years. I signed up for a monthly subscription to truthfinder pulled a couple of reports on friends and family and then myself I've never been so shocked in my life they've got 81 events in my timeline and 60 of them Plus are duplicates repeated in different places in the timeline making it look like I've got over 60 charges arrest etc. I've called their center customer service told me you have to email him she couldn't help me. I emailed them the only response I got was the automated one it says thanks for contacting us could you fill out the survey. So I did that also I've got zero response from them the report is ruining my life at the moment and a short time of a month and a half I've lost my job lost my house had to move out of town as I had x amount of people thinking I was some kind of monster. I've explained all this to truthfinder and I don't even get a response. I have contacted the BBB and I'm writing this review and I'm just going to keep going. I don't know where they get their information if somebody can just call in and tell him a bunch of bolognesh. And I just post it or if it's the person putting the stuff on the side itself and they need to get fired then I've never seen a report like mine looks ever I can look up Charles Manson and his reports smaller than mine.

Do not use this service. There are many more efficient and less expensive options. This "search" didn't show me anything you can't find with a simple google search. In fact I found more on google. What a joke. It's already almost $30 and then they try to get you with another $3.99 to download the so called report that you haven't even seen yet. Don't waste your time or money.
