I ran one report for a client. I'm an attorney. Somehow I didn't "unclick" something and got signed up for a monthly membership at the rate of $27.78 for about 3 months before I realized they were continuing to bill me. If I wanted a membership, I'd go with a reputable company like Lexis.
I don't recommend this service. Waste of time and money

They make you wait forever for all the information to be "found" and loaded. Huge build up of drama that you will see secret stuff and graphic stuff. Bulls***, that's not the way the internet works. If Google can compile millions of websites in less than a second, this "search" could be done the same way. They just want you to feel "invested" in the time you've spent on their site so that you spend the money they charge to see the actual information. Waste of time!

I joined Truthfinder for the purpose of monitoring a husband and wife. The system found them but failed to show what I knew - that the husband was incarcerated in Federal Prison (and has been for over 2 years). I cancelled the reoccurring charges and called Truthfinder for a refund of the original charge. The Customer Service lady said that STATE criminal records aren't always accessible. I repeated that the person was in FEDERAL prison and she said that it took time for the authorities to upload the information (2 years?). I said that the Bureau of Prisons web site showed him so the information was on line and I wanted to use Truthfiner to monitor him for release from prison. Finally, she agreed to issue me a complete refund

Don't waste your time, they literally have a timer counting down to when you can access the "report" while a bunch of f***ing bogus messages scroll through. (WARNING this person TOTALLY is on a government watch list!) and a bunch of other absolute BS. Reading some of the crap the site was spewing out made me want to off myself. I wanted to see how it worked so i put ky name in not only did it say i was related to an annie (which im not) but it said i lived in 2 other places ive never heard of, said my telephone numbers way different from the one i have. I know I don't have a criminal record but I was trying to find out how this company operates. I gave them my name with my cell phone number (my mistake). I am receiving advertisement (different every day) to convince me to subscribe and pay them such as " new truth about XXX" or new criminal records found about XXX or. They are creative on writing these messages to convince you to pay the. Glad I did not pay but I am really annoyed by receiving these ads on my cell phone daily.

Trying to get rid of the report they are sending each day, but their web site dont have a unsubscribe button. You just dont get rid of it after getting an account and they dont answer mail. STAY AWAY

Thirty bucks a month and I already knew more about the people I searched for than TruthFinder did. The also make it as difficult as they can to unsubscribe: the FAQ says you have to call an 800 number to stop the billing, but NOBODY ANSWERS IT. $#*! TF and the horse they rode in on.

I am the mother of the person Is as searching. Totally inaccurate information. Names in Texas with wrong person they identified as my son. Wrong ownership of vehicle in Texas. They will not return your money when you tell them they have inaccurate information in their report. All links where closed and numbers no longer working. Save your money. It may be a good way to get dirt on anyone you want to, but it is also a double edge sword, they harass you until you buy their service with anything they can say about you to embarrass or harass you into buying it just to get them to stop sending their nasty messages. It is a double edged sword and it is more likely what is wrong with this "information age, Social Media, Big Brother" prying and condemning crap that WILL BACKFIRE on us all. This "REVIEW" is also a sham, tried leaving this with one star and they won't let you, they say "leave a VALID review" I take it back it's not just a sham, it's a SCAM! See what they say about how they reject reviews they don't like; "To ensure data quality, each review is read and moderated to abide by our guidelines. We reserve the right to reject reviews which fail to comply with our guidelines".

A few months ago, I went to these people to help find an old friend. I thought it was a one-time charge. Was I wrong. My mistake. Not only was the information wrong, they kept taking money from my account! When I saw these withdrawals on my account, I called my bank to tell them what was going on. They put a "stop payment" on these charges and I canceled that card. I figured that would be the end of it. NOPE! Today, I found out this company was STILL taking money out of my account and had been for the last three months! When I asked the bank rep how this was possible, she said they have a way of getting that information! Oh my god! Well, I filed a claim against this business then called the company to complain and cancelled my "subscription". The guy said I had till July 11th to use their "services"... Really?!? Really?!? You STEAL from me, you use shady practices to get my NEW card number, then you have the audacity to say I have another month to use your services?!? Wow. Well, HOPEFULLY, I won't have anymore issues with these people. If, for some, bizarre reason, you want to use their services, make sure you cancel immediately afterwards, because if you don't, they will keep taking money out of your bank accout even if you get a different card.

Answer: To Amber: I have used Truthfinder for several years and of all the search sites, I have found their information the most current (and the most correct). I 100% believe that there are scammers that USE Truthfinder - to get information they can't get on Google - but I don't think that Truthfinder "scams people". They get their data from "public information" - something we could all get if we had the time and patience to find information about any person that someone is looking for out there. I use the website to find high school classmates and I have been pleased with the success I have had finding "long, lost friends". I agree with you that the scammers need to be prosecuted for all the times they break the law. They should all get off the couch and get a job instead of stealing from honest people who are trying to take care of their families by actually WORKING.
