I love "Star Trek" but the moderators here are "bro"-hating snob $#*!s who side with people who bash that slang. Although they're not anti-Hispanic (I'm part Hispanic only though; as my last name indicates I'm part white), they are very pro-snob.

I had this massive stick rammed squarely up my bum, and TrekBBS managed to remove it once I understood that taking it seriously was a quick way to look like a humorless, self-centered moron. I mean, life is short, and if I didn't like it, I could have moved on without having to make some absurd comment. Fortunately, they helped me realize this, and now I'm a happy member of 17 years.
