Online it shows that its the cheapest to trademark a logo. After talking to a customer service rep saying to "JUST" screen shot proof of my site and it should be good. Everything was not good!
I went to an actual trademark lawyer to file another logo and we ended up looking for my logo that was filed through trademark engine. He said that they filed the logo incorrectly with the black background and white logo. Why didnt trademark engine mention that to begin with?
Second issue was all the screen shots that was suppose to be good to go was actually not good. Now IM suppose to contact the lawyer reviewing my logo and send him more proof. After researching the office and lawyer turns out they were suppose to send me a link. Which was sent after the 3rd time i called them. Now I have to read all these pages and learn how to file it properly. So i paid them so i can basically do it myself.
The LAST issue is that it clearly states that they are not lawyers on the phone and the website. That shows that no one is really competent to Help.
The lawyer I spoke to said he recommend using Legazoom or just talk to an actual lawyer. Its worth spending the money and be legit than doing all this run around and hoping its done right.
I have had very terrible customer service. Numerous emails that I have sent have gone unanswered. There were a few details that I needed to change on my application and there was no way to make these changes. Furthermore staff has either been slow to respond or not responded at all. It has been 6-days since I paid them and the errors haven't been corrected on my application and their customer service staff has not answered my questions. I am very disappointed and would not use this service again.
I received an email letting me know in order for my order to be processed I needed to provide more information. I did as the email advise and called in to resolve it. As I was goong through the process I recognized that what was advertised and what I had already paid for was not what I believed it to be. Moreover as my order was on hold per the email I decided to request a refund for my orginal order which the agent assured me she would process. Come to find out later that day there was an additional charge of $275 that was unauthorized. I called in the next day and was told that that authorization was put in before I called so basically there was much that could be done. Why tell a client that there order is on hold when your going to charge them anyway without informing them. Will never recomend this service the anyone especially a friend or family member. Horrible experience far from transparent.
The operation is a bit of scam, bait and switch. I had cancelled the order via contact link shortly after signing up over the last weekend. After paying for the standard package, I then noticed in gray finer print that if I do not communicate with them in 7 days I will be charged 275.00 processing. My communication to immediately cancel could not be found, so I was refunded 50% of my purchase claiming that the charge of 75.00 was the cost of running a report. The report means nothing on it's own. I am taken aback by the lack of honesty.
I bought service from Trademark Engine LLC (trademarkengine.com) to file my trademark with USPTO in September 2017. I paid all the fee up front and provided them all the documents and information they asked for. We received an office action on our trademark and USPTO said there was a wrong company entity type and they did not accept specimens. I contacted to Trademark Engine and asked them why did they put wrong company entity and they said they will fix it and they will charge additional $99 for office action response. First, I was arguing with them why should I pay for it but after that I agree to pay $99 in Jan 2018. Again, I provided them all the required information. After that, they said they will call me once it's ready to file an office action respond. I was waiting for their response but they never contacted me. Then I started calling them they never answer my calls. Finally on April 25th I contacted them thru chat window and I started asking about my application. Then they said I have to pay for office action respond and I explained that already I paid, after long wait she said ok I can see that you paid for office action but you have to pay another $99 if you want to proceed. I said what? I said already paid and she said I have to pay $99 more. I said this is ridiculous. I am waiting for your response and you are telling me now and asking for more money. I told her I do not do business with you I am done. This company is robbing people. Also, I bought another service from Trademark Engine which is called Privacy Protection and they were charging me $5 every month. After receiving an office action notice I am receiving tons of email every day from all over the country. They failed to protect my personal details and I was paying them from last 8 months. If you are reading this please do not pay for any services this is totally waste of your money and time. Already I wasted my 8 months and money and still, my trademark is not approved yet. I paid them total $838 dollars. I am going to find a good lawyer who can help me to get it done. Thank you
Trademark Engine is indeed a scam. I gave them two hours to refund my money. They never responded. So I tipped the Federal Bureau Investigation about their fraudulent acts.
Like with so many they took $300,- from my credit card, never delivered on the (24hrs) service or any service for that matter. And ignore
I did a search on their site for a name, then purchased the basic TM for 69.00 They double charged me. Then I research and the name is taken by someone else. OK SO I wanted a refund, emailed and called them to cancel the whole order no reply. 2 days later I get another charge for 275.00. WTF! I am disputing charges. AND CANCLED MY C. C.
You begin the site thinking the trademark will be $68.00, once they have your credit card info, they bill you for several other charges, and will not refund your money. Its a scam.
Answer: For my first Trademark, I was recommended to use Trademark Engine. That was a big mistake. The site doesn't do any extra work. YOU essentially are entering the EXACT fields that are required on the actual USPTO website and then they simply copy and paste all the fields on the USPTO website for you. I am NOT kidding - you can literally go and check both sites. You are paying $99 to Trademark Engine for just doing this. Oh and BTW, their nonsense about 'Researching to see if the TM is taken" is literally a 5 second job on the USPTO website. You just need to enter the Trademark term that you want in the search box (TEAS) and see if it has been taken. They make it sound like it is something massive. Besides this, they actually had the nerve to over-charge me. So they charged their fee and they charged me $275 to file with the USPTO (the USPTO filing fee). It was only later, when the USPTO sent me the email confirmation, did I realize that the actual cost was only $225 - so they happily charged me $50 extra. These people are scam artists and they refuse to talk to me about this or answer emails. I have filed a dispute now with my card (who told me that they will get the refund soon). Stay away from this company and file yourself.
Answer: They keep charging you for a subscription you do not sign up for.
Answer: My first dream business has turned into a nightmare. It feels like someone else is just making money off of whoever enters that hook without actually helping business owners who are looking to create a unique brand. The trademark registration process is misleading, and it seems like they are taking advantage of people. Many people don't understand how the process works and end up paying a lot without any guarantee of approval. I am one of the people who now need to cancel the whole position, and it is bitter business now.
Answer: No, i got scammed here. This whole operation is a scam.
