I purchased tickets for a show for a Christmas gift. I bought them on TickPick because I've used the platform 5 times before and never had any issues. I also wanted to purchase seats close together, and the venue had no seats remaining together. TickPick never notified me the tickets were invalid, but quietly refunded me, screwing over the recipients of my gift who had traveled for the event. I paid for tickets in a reserved lawn section of a venue for a concert, but upon arrival I learned I did not in fact have tickets to that section, but general lawn tickets instead. (Tickets said "Lawn2" which I thought must be code for Reserved... alas, it was not). The concert was about to start, and being pretty easy going people, my boyfriend and I enjoyed the show on the general admission lawn rather than spend time trying to contact customer service. Knowing they advertised a "Buyer Guarantee", I wasn't worried about it. When I submitted the issue to TickPick the next morning requesting to be reimbursed for the difference in cost (about $120) I was informed since we already attended the event there was nothing they could do. I explained the issue was not access to the venue, only access to the seats I had believed to have purchased, and I was not asking for a full refund, just for a refund of the difference in ticket prices. Despite that, they refused to do anything. For TickPick to expect us to not attend the concert at all in that situation in order to get a refund is absurd. I paid for something they did not deliver, and they refused to take responsibility.
