Ana-Marie, Tom, and Colin are truly amazing people. They offer the best price anywhere (including online) and stand behind their product and are committed to service. They know their products, and their vendors, and will guide you in the correct decision. I had an issue with the 3rd party delivery company used by the manufacturer, and Modern Back was amazing and went out of its way to resolve the issue. Highly recommend. Also, take their advice on their recommendations.

Purchasing a massage chair from The Modern Back was a great experience. From the sales personnel in the store to the delivery team, everyone was fantastic. Their knowledge of the different chairs and helpfulness in finding the right chair for us was outstanding. We have been using our chair for about a month and love it. Fine communication with staff. Delivery staff were Great! Chair is a disappointment- I need to straighten out my back occasionally. This is absolutely NOT possible in this chair. One must be bent at the waist in all positions. So I often have to get out of the chair and stretch out on the floor to get comfortable. Such a disappointment!

Ann Marie went above and beyond to help us find just what I needed. I think I must have tried every bed in their showroom at least twice. I never felt rushed or pressured to buy. I'm thrilled with my Svago zero gravity recliner and new adjustable base and mattress.

Was looking for the company I can relay on to buy a new chair. Check several on the internet and red customer's reviews. The Modern Back was a nice name and I checked the place. Talk to Tom Walls he made a very good impression on me. We made a deal and I am very happy customer now.

Tom worked with me to find the best solution for me. I'm a tall guy and most chairs are not able to align with my arthritic bones. He made sure I got the best solution. I got a good product, fair price and great service.

The affiliate named Tom that was assigned to me was great! He stayed in touch until I received the chair. I never felt like I was bothering him when I had a question. He would immediately respond and was very polite and kind. I received the chair that I purchased very quickly within a week or so. This is a great company with integrity. P.s the zero gravity chair I purchased was beautiful and the most comfortable chair I have ever bought.

I recently purchased the Svago Newton Chair in my summer home and just purchased a second one for my winter getaway. I already knew what I wanted and was able to transact the deal over the phone with delivery about a week later.

So, I called The Modern back and spoke with Tom who took his time to patiently answer all my questions and give me the information I needed to finalize my decision. The delivery service was excellent, and my chair was delivered on time and assembled perfectly. We were visiting Florida and I shot an email off to Modern Back very early in the morning- for a reply not long after, explaining the differences, answering my questions, and I was impressed it wasn't a hard sell. At no time was this process hurried or time sensitive, Tom was an absolute professional. Spending this kind of money, I want to be logical, and know what I'm buying since this was the first time I'd ever considered a massage chair. We made the trip to Sarasota, met Tom, and spent the next 3.5 hours trying different chairs and asking a ton of questions. My wife and I never felt uneasy, or burdensome because of the time we were soaking up, and I understood that the time he was investing in us had no guarantee of a sale. I told Tom my budget and he showed me only the ones in that price range- it was me who opted to test out the Osaki and learn just why it was priced higher. I am so glad I did! I think you have to try the full spectrum to make an informed decision, and then decide price- not the other way around. Thanks to Tom our chair was delivered to Arizona a week later- yes one week, and setup was easy as we opted to do our own assembly. A few plugs, 2 screws, and you're done- just make sure you have the help of a furniture dolly and a strong helper, it's a lot heavier than a Lazy Boy! Thank you Tom- a month later and its still everything you promised and more- we are discovering modes and options we didn't realize it had. Truly a great buying experience!

My wife and I have been looking for a massage chair for quite some time, but I was afraid to purchase a chair Online, because I could not speak with a live person and I wanted to try out the chair first, before investing so much money. I ran across The Modern Back and spoke with Tom, the owner, and he was "awesome". My wife and I drove 2 hours to Sarasota to see his impressive showroom and bought the Osaki High Pointe 4D chair. I LOVE working with a small family business. It makes me feel as my business is important to them. And I definitely felt this with Annmarie and Tom. Their follow-through and follow up was stellar. They were knowledgeable, patient, nice, and their inventory was large of chairs to try and all price levels. There was no rush, and not one hint of a hard sell! If I were to buy or shop again, would immediately go to "The Modern Back Shop"

I replaced my old massage chair with the Osaki Highpointe 4D from The Modern Back store right here in Sarasota. Tom and his wife, Anne Marie are just the best and have a good assortment of quality massage chairs to try and buy. Their service was outstanding and I highly recommend them if you are in the market for one. If I can, I love dealing with a local, family-owned business right here in Sarasota rather than a large box store. The personalized service is much better and you are helping your community. Plus, they are right here if you need further service in the future. I got the white glove delivery and after watching Charles and his brother-in-law doing the assembly and the install, I am certainly glad I did! It works great and I look forward to many years enjoying the chair and know that if I ever need service on the chair, The Modern Back folks are right here in town! It's a win, win.
