I had been denied by about 3 different Banks and Lenders for a home loan. I was referred to The Lenders Network by my agent, reluctant to try again I figured it was worth one more try. I spoke to a gentleman Randy who gave me more insightful information in one 15 minute phone call than any other company I spoke to. He referred me to a Lender in California that works with people with bad credit. I was approved the very next day! Amazing! I just want to tell anyone looking for a Lender that can help them, The Lenders Network is the first place you need to go PERIOD. Thanks again Randy!
Answer: Credit reports in the mortgage industry are valid for 120 days. The only reason a credit report may be pulled before close is to monitor for undisclosed debt, new accounts or additional liability not accounted for by underwriting, but it shouldn't be used for score monitoring.
