You can also run a scheduled test to monitor your line to find what hours of the day your internet performs at it's best.
After you test you can share your score on twitter or facebook. The newest sharing options allow you to share a dynamic image in your blog or website (or as a forum signature) that updates with your most recent test information every time the image is requested.
Pretty cool way to make sure that your ISP is giving you what you pay for.
I was getting more service and speed tests of 1.5M to 3.4 Meg on my "guaranteed 25M" line. The provider's tech asked me to use trstmy.net. Wow, 24 Meg! It didn't make sense but I said I'll see how it goes tonight. Yep, it won't support 3 minute news clip. Same test results with testmy.net at 24 Meg while Fast reports 800kb which is more intune with what I'm getting in performance.
Ookla has been the best since long time to check the internet speed. I checked testmy.net once and I would say it's pretty cool site but few things are to be manage.
No doubt Ookla is best my this website testmy.net is also very reputable in this field. It check your internet speed and also advise to some steps to enhance it.
