Three weeks after receiving my sneakers (and fewer than 5 uses on red clay as I am only weekend player) I sent them photos of holes which developed. They told me to send them back at my own expense so they could "assess" IF they were damaged. After much back and forth, they finally agreed to send me a return label but weeks and more emails went by without any label or CS response. This company does not stand by its products and doesn't seem at all interested in customer retention. They only care about your complaints to the cc company. Find another source for your tennis gear.
After 18 emails and 5 phone calls I have no shoes, no exchange, no refund. Return inquires stopped and could not get through on the toll free number. Reported to the Better Business Bureau. Shop elsewhere I'm out $160.00.
I ordered my tennis racket over a month ago and it still hasn't arrived. I am writing this review as I am on hold with them like I have been for the past HALF AN HOUR. The customer service is completely ridiculous and the shipping time is outrageous. I will not be buying with tennis warehouse again after this terrible experience.
On a side note the hold tone is the most repetitive thing I have ever listened to; it is just two beeps and then this monotone guy that says "please to continue to hold, your call is very important to us, an agent will be with you shortly." I don't understand how a company would put so little effort in customer experience.
I bought my son a tennis babe for Christmas. I bought in late October he really didn't use till February. The handles began coming apart. Tennis warehouse said my 30 days was up and they would do nothing but give me 10% off a new bag! Really? I have tennis bags years old it's no handle defects! Obvious defect but they do nothing!
Assured me an item was in stock. Then, a few days later, got an email saying it was out of stock--with no mention of a refund. When I called, I had to wait 20 minutes to speak to someone why told me I'd be getting a refund. Finally, their website is confusing such that it caused me to think my first order was invalid so that I ordered the same thing twice and had to cancel the first order. Never again!
Bought a racquet from Tennis Warehouse. Their service is super slow. They take ages to respond to emails. The expected delivery date for my racquet was a week ago, and they haven't even shipped the racquet yet. They lie that they deduct your money only when the merchandise is shipped, however they deducted my money long ago and still haven't shipped the racquet. Never buying anything again from this website and suggest you all not to as well.
I ordered a twelve pack bag for myself with 2 day shipping and the incompetent fools who run this disgrace of shop have yet to ship it after weeks of waiting and unreturned emails. Do not buy from this website! It is not worth it.
TW used to be an incomparable internet store. Someone must have bought the company and turned into a lousy incompetent store. If you order any rackets and ask to string, it will take 15 days or more to get it. They are in CA and Atlanta. A bunch of lazy incompetent workers is ruining the company. It's not a computer chip company. It's a tennis equipment company! How incompetent you can be to take 15 days or more to get a lousy tennis racket when the company operates in the US? If you call and ask why, they talk like a recording - delay or issues. They should hire smarter more efficient managers and supervisors to run the company more efficiently!
I ordered a Nike shirt in Small. They sent Small Slim. Called them to correct the order and they did not have a regular small. Asked to return the item. They said they would send shipping label, it took them a week to send label by email. The received the item on the 3rd and normally it takes 5 to 7 days to process. 3 weeks later still no refund. Later they sent a store credit. I don't know how these people stay in business. This is terrible customer service.
I tried to buy a pair of shoes online during Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals, but it feels like they would not honor the price and cancelled my order instead. Then they are saying it's "Out of Stock", but their website still shows "In Stock".
TW used to be pretty good, but it seems like they've gone downhill. They need to take lessons from Amazon customer service. I don't think I'll shop at TW again, you've lost me and I won't recommend TW to others.
TW promises to price match other retailers. I asked them to price match some tennis shoes from their direct competitor tennis express. They refused because tennis express did not carry my size of shoe I was trying to price match with TW. Notably, the TW price match policy makes no such mention of this exception. This exception, even if it was written in the TW price match policy, makes no sense because if tennis express had my size then why would I waste my time calling TW terrible customer service to get them to price match in the first place. I would just order shoes from tennis express. This would make a great class action lawsuit!
I ordered a babolat pure aero, but the grip size was a bit large for me, so I ordered a smaller grip size and returned the larger one. They refunded only 50% of the amount.
I wished I had bought it via amazon :(
I ordered a Babalot Aero Jr. 26 racquet for my son for his birthday. A Wilson Jr racquet showed at my house. You can see by the photos that the colors aren't even close to the Aero colors. I tried emailing to get the racquet replaced (as they suggested) but continued getting automated emails to expect delays.
I finally called. They said they would send out the correct racquet that day over-night. I called the following day to confirm it shipped. It didn't ship and they couldn't tell me why.
Needless to say my son didn't get his birthday gift he desired. I will avoid T. W. for all future tennis purchases.
Unfortunately I have to give this bad rate. I was very carefully ordering shoes with size 35.5, but somehow they delivered 33.5 size. Very strange that when you put the shoes in the cart you cant see what size is in the cart - you just see the name. Because of this reason firstly I did delete the shoes from the cart and put again very carefully, but still I got the wrong size.
But this is only part of the problem and this part I can understand, because mistakes happen.
What is really sad is the customer service - I offered that I could keep the wrong size and asked to write an invoice for the right shoe. But they said they need to put the shipping expanses as well. So they were not ready to solve this mistake correctly and change the shoe, even when I offered to keep the wrong shoe and didnt ask the money back.
Basically it comes out that they are not ready to pay one way shipping to solve this mistake (plus they would sell one pair of shoes more).
I've ordered shoes, rackets and tons of tennis clothes over the years and continue to do so. I've never had a bad experience. They have great deals and sales, also the newest styles are always available
Can't speak to person or do live chat. Almost never respond to emails. Incredibly slow shipping on strung racquets. Lost my account information twice.
I ordered a racquet for my son. I opened the box, he held it and felt it was oddly weighted so I immediately revived it and sent it back (ordering a different model). Upon receipt of my return, TW informed me that the was "ball fuzz" on the racquet (?!), and deducted a 25% fee and refused to credit my original payment but instead issued store credit). Since the racquet never left my kitchen, there's no chance it could have picked up any stray "ball fuzz". Super disappointed that a company have purchased from on many occasions would engage in such deceptive practices. I see from the many other negative reviews, this is not an isolated incident.
Tennis Warehouse is a great place to get a lot of cheap tennis stuff online. Things that are worth getting: reels of string--even if you don't string your own rackets it's still way cheaper to buy a reel and give it to your local pro shop or sports store to string your rackets for you. Occasionally Tennis Warehouse also sells demo rackets so you can get a deal. Their shoes and other stuff can be cheap but you should check around on Amazon, local stores with sales, etc.
Their ability to ship/deliver on time is just awful. I have had several really bad experiences. I have called customer service each time and have never gotten any help.
There is nothing they sell that can not be gotten elsewhere. Save yourself the headache. Shop elsewhere.
I have been using TW since 2001. TW is losing an edge now. I ordered a racquet with stringing service which took 10 days to arrive. I won't order from TW anymore.
