Ordered a download item, all they needed to send me was a key to activate the product. After more than two weeks of emails from them saying it should be sent same day or by the next day, I emailed telling them to refund my item. No response to that email. I then called them, and they said a refund would take a week to process. Dealing with this vendor has been a colossal waste of time and money.
I bought an older version of Microsoft Office and when the license code didn't work, I attempted to work with a customer service representative to resolve the issue. Not only did that process last much longer than it should, the other code they gave me did not work either. I'm just glad I was only out $60 as opposed to hundreds which I have heard other people have lost. Do not buy from this site!
Horrible experience! Want some soft ware quickly so I purchased it and did not get a e-mail or key code with in 24 hours. I called the custom service number it was some guy with kids screaming in the background. He said he would send it in the next 10 minutes. NO KEY CODE i called him back to find that the phone number was perpetually busy then it was disconnected. Had to go to the bank to dispute charge.
I purchased windows & and never received what I paid for. Always for one reason or another. They take your money but give reason that they are making sure this is not fraud when in fact they take your money and don't honor you with the items which you purchased. Go to another store with a better reputation to buy your products and say yourself the headache
This is an online scam shop. I bought Windows 7 pro downloadable and the download I received from them was not related to Windows in any shape or form. When trying to talk to the company they just lied, and kept telling me "We have been in business for 14 years" or some other bs that doesn't get to the point that they are screwing you. AVOID AT ALL COST! I do not know any legitimate business that does not give a refund for not receiving the product advertised. Kind of sounds like fraud?
I was able to get an expedited email delivery of my Outlook 2010 software, along with product key, within minutes. I received a call to verify my order and then the product key email arrived.

Pretty certain this is a scam. I downloaded Microsoft Office for Mac, and they sent me an activation code that had already been used the max amount of times, and then told me it was because it had been activated with Outlook, which I don't even $#*!ing use. So, I took screencaps of the error, and am I currently waiting for a reply. The kicker, though, is that they wanted to have remote access to my computer to "see what the error was." Uh, I don't think so. I have asked numerous times for a refund, but they say they will be happy to give me another code if I provide proof of error.
I ordered a Windows 7 Iso file from Tek micro. After receiving the file I was never able to open it to download. Every time I clicked on the file a web page pops up that says" Welcome to nginx" and then can't get off of that page. It's like they sent me a virus and infected my computer! I tried to contact customer service several times but they were always busy. When they did respond they said they don't offer refunds. Do not waste your money with this company. I am filling a complaint with the BBB and the state attorney general's office. I would recommend that anyone else who has been ripped off by this company to do the same.
Prices were all favorable to me when I checked the site. I easily found the product I was looking for and was filled on the promised time. The concise, clear instructions made my life easier and the activation successful on the first try.
When I bought a software download, I was directed to register. When I did so, I was informed that my email address was already used. I used another email and was told that there were no orders pending. I decided to get the software elsewhere. Later I got an email using the original address I gave them saying that the download was available. I asked that the order be canceled and Tek-micro refused to do so, saying that I agreed to their no refund policy. I have ordered software from other vendors without such problems.
WHat joke this company is. Advertise and tell you product is in stock even take your money knowing they don't have product. I was looking to order MS Visio Std 2010 full product(not a download) as I was searching their site an instant chat window opened asking if they could help. I asked if they indeed did have 2 copies in stock. They returned with a YES we do have that in stock. So I placed order and 5 days later I HAD TO CALL them to find out when product was going to be shipped. They then told me they didn't have that in stock and had no answer as to when they would have it. As I was on the phone I checked my cc online and they had charged my card already. They take your money then give you the run around when you call them out on it. These are the kind of companies that hide behind a web site and play the odds. STAY AWAY there way better sites to do business with. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!
While I was able to download the software immediate there was a 12 hr delay in delivering the product key. Before buy I chatted with their tech support to verify that the software was a download as we had a deadline that we had to meet. (computer crash needed software ASAP). At no time during the conversation was I told that the product wouldn't be delivered for 12 hrs. We missed the deadline. I'll never purchase from this site again and would recommend you NEVER PURCHASE from this site if you need use of the software the same day!

I placed an order on 29 March 2011. My VISA was charged immediately but Windows XP never arrived. My email message questioning delivery was answered saying they they thought there might have been an error in shipping, but it would take a day or two to check it out.
In the mean time, a fraudulent charge from Georgia showed up on my VISA. It may be a coincidence, but in reviewing other people's experience I think a pattern of misbehavior is evident.
When I called to cancel my order, they said it was already cancelled. This from the company that was previously going to expedite shipping. It is hard to believe anything they told me.
I have cancelled my order and reversed charges on my VISA account.
Tried to order Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 from Tek Micro over the weekend. It is an older product, but I was looking for that specific version. Their site came up as having the product in stock (it was a download link, not even a box they had to ship). So I placed my order and tried to download the product. Had many problems getting the link to work and finally succeeded. Adobe asked me to insert my license key, which had not been sent to me. So I used it as a Trial License and was able to get done what I needed. Checked my email this morning, and was sent a note from Tek Micro that they didn't have my order in stock (How can you not have a download link in stock?), and they tried to upsell me on Acrobat Pro XI. Called Customer Support (4pm PT) and no one was available, voice mail. Called my Credit Card company, and sure enough the charge was already on my card. Now I have to fight them to get the charge reversed and I have no license to use the software I ordered. Cost me more than an hour to download and install the SW and now will cost me another hour or two to fight them over the charges.
Why not just tell me it's not in stock on your web site if you don't want to sell it to me?
Will NEVER use Tek-Micro for software. I will not support vendors who are not reputable about the products they sell. Look elsewhere, the few dollars you save are not worth the hassles of dealing with a "bait & switch" vendor like Tek-Micro.
Ordered Microsoft Office, received download link, downloaded program, then received activation code, and was able to use program. Couldn't be simpler.
This is a very good company, I bought windows software from Tek-micro, and at first I thought I had been duped by them, but it's a matter of connecting to the right person, I had spoken with two people over the chat line because I had problems with getting the windows download onto a bootable DVD, but when I finally got that straight, then I had problems downloading the correct drivers for windows 8, the two people I spoke with tried, I guess, but couldn't help me, but then I got ahold of Mr. Nick, and he was outstanding at helping me resolve my issues, so for that I say, EXCELLENT!
I used Tek-Micro to purchase microsoft office after looking online and finding their prices almost too good to be true. They were, and this company has given me a product that will not activate and they are impossible to contact.
This site has used carpetbombing to get their review rating up on this site. If you look the 5 star reviews all of them have only reviewed this site and say very generic things. They also have very generic images as their profile pics. They are false reviews.
Their phone number just rings to voice mail, and their address actually doesn't have a business called Tek-Micro at it (look it up on google street view) its just a generic shopping center.
This company is a scam, you will not be able to contact their customer service, they will not contact you back, and you will have issues. The chat on their site gives you an auto response that says "they are busy and will get back with you" which they never do. Their software comes from group licensing and has already been activated the maximum amount of times, you will lose your money buying from these people. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE SCAMMERS PLEASE!

I purchase Adobe Acrobat X Professional in September 2012. For the first time since then, a recent computer issue required a reinstall of all my software. The problem: The download link in the invoice email no longer works, and my order does not appear in my account when logged into their site.
Upon contacting their customer support with the order number, date of purchase, and issue. I was told, in short, "oh well." A new company purchased tek-micro.com a few years ago and failed to migrate the existing customer purchase orders over to the new system. Further, they no longer partner with Adobe.
To make the whole situation even worse is that now, even if I want to upgrade, they provided no serial number with the original email invoices (they were applied during the download/activation phase), and as I have no running installation, Adobe has no way of verifying the existing valid copy, requiring me to buy Acrobat again at the full retail price.
In the intervening years, Tek-Micro failed to alert customers to the change in ownership, or affiliation that may affect the customer's ability to retrieve their software. As such there was no opportunity provided to download and back up a working installation file. This is the first and only digital distributor, in 2 decades of personal online presence, that has failed to provide ongoing access to previous purchases (particularly when you are referring to this level of expense), or provide written notification to download and back-up a working install file.
The live customer service representative told me to email his supervising support team at *******@tek-micro.com. The automatic reply promises a response within 24 hours. It has now been over 2 weeks since the original email, and I have sent 3 in that time frame.
The software was finally able to be installed 2 months after purchase. I've learned my lesson!
Answer: Well I believe that question is best answered byTek-micro themselves, I don't know how authentic their products are, I just know it worked for me when I down loaded it, and you have to get ahold of the 'right'person because some times in the past, I have had questions and have used their chat they have on their website, and most of the ppl knew what they were talking about, but a couple of ppl didn't, but overall, I accomplished my goal which was to get windows8.1 up and running on my macbook pro.
