I bought two acrylic-blend sweaters from Talbot. Both pilled in short order; one had not even been washed once. I got no satisfaction in dollars or otherwise from the store because, I was told, I hadn't complained within the required 60 days of purchase. Talbot's quality has diminished. It should stop using cheap synthetics and go back to the basics.
The first rep today. I politely asked how he was, Andre told me he was doing terribly! I said I hoped his day got better, mine got worse, he transferred me to the wrong company that Comenity also owns. OH MY GOD! It is really bad when folks who are having a bad day are customer service reps but the person after him was WONDERFUL...she gets 5 stars
Tip for consumers:
be aware they charge for shipping back a return even if you walk into the STORE to return it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You epitomized the look of the classically well dressed American woman. Timeless styles... natural fibers.
Now your goods are made off shore... the styles are tight and skimpy... what on God's earth happened to you?
Get your preppy groove back on please... come back to your loyalists.
Three commonplace stars for you, Talby!
With the tremendous decline in the quality of your clothes and customer service, I'm shocked that your stores are still doing business, unless there's a drastic change, the future of Talbots stores does not look to bright.
I have been wearing Talbots cotton chino pants for longer than I care to admit. My recent purchase this month was returned the same day it arrived in the mail. Obvious to me was the stitching down the side seam instead of the usual seam with hidden stitches made this purchase not worth the money they charge. Since they have been returned I cannot add a photo. Since I am a senior I can take a photo of my receipt but no idea how to upload to this site.
Tip for consumers:
Like most retailers they no longer include a return sticker in the package. One must locate it on line and print for yourself. I drove to the nearest store which included the outlet address only to be told it had to be returned to a "store". I drove another 40 minutes and the woman at Talbots was lovely. Return was easy and quick. Not sure I will be purchasing on line from them in the future.
Bummed about some of the clothing being really thin- hello cashmere sweaters I'm looking at you- but the quality of the shoes is exceptional-
