We had been looking for a specific pair of boots in a certain size for our son for Christmas and every place we looked was sold out or back- ordered. Then just before Christmas, Tackle Direct had what we wanted. The boots were sent and arrived on time. As it turned out, they were too small. I contacted Tackle Direct and they quickly sent out another pair. Customer Service was very helpful and made it easy. Also, the price of the boots was very reasonable compared to other companies.
During our search, another company mentioned that Tackle Direct often has merchandise that others don't have, which, in this case, turned out to be true.
I placed a few orders that was listed 'in stock' later received an email saying that some items were not in stock sadly. But it's only understandable during these times and the craziness that we have all experienced. Customer service was absolutely great! And I believe TD is a great provider. I would recommend purchasing from TD by my experience of shopping with them.
Love everything about TD. They always have what I need and get it to me fast and fairly priced. Customer service is always exceptional and responsive. I get all my gear from TD salt and freshwater and even if another site offers the same item for a lower price I still go w TD because they've always provided amazing service. It's one of the very few companies that has my 100% loyalty.
It took forever to get our items and some items we never got because they were out of. Why sale something if you don't have them in stock. We paid for everything up front, I just hope we got a refund on the items we didn't receive.
2 day UPS shipping turned into a month long goose chase trying to locate the package. Really needed what I ordered as all the shops are closed and I am a commercial fisherman who depends on the ocean.

Poor coordination of sales staff. I bought an item listed as currently available but only to find out after days of waiting that it was on back order and it took more than 2 weeks to arrive in at your office.
Paid for 3 day delivery but it took 3 weeks to get to me how ridiculous! Very bad experience.
One item of my order arrived in an opened package and had obviously been used. The used product had been put back in the original box, stapled shut and sent to me as "new". I contacted customer service for replacement or refund. A replacement was sent out immediately. No problem, no hassle. I would definitely do business with them again.
My experiences in the past have been great. Recently though I've had problems ordering online and would end up having to call to place my order. When that has happened the orders do not appear in my history. This makes it harder to reorder next time.

My order took over two weeks to be delivered. I understand we are in a different time but this was an excessive Amount of time. I called customer service and was basically told 'oh well' which was shocking in the fishing industry. While waiting for this order I placed and received orders from Bass Pro and discount tackle. I'm not saying I'll never buy from tackle direct again but not if I need something delivered on time.
Thank you for the great price! My package was completely mangled once I received it. I was worried about the condition the reel would be in, but so far so good. Just a little sketchy to see a box that looks like it's been jumped on a few times.
I completely understand that that any delay in ordering is due to the current circumstances of the pandemic however I purchased this item it was in stock on your website after a week and a half checked online the status was pending review I called the 800 number was directed to use email sent an email no one called me back or answered my email. That's why I only gave 1 stars the online shopping was better than the wait

Finally decided to pull the trigger on these rods.I have purchased several rods from Tackle Direct and most of them were packaged correctly.On my last order I ordered 2 rods and one of the rods guides was broken.Instead of sending it at more costs to me I had it repaired.I just don't think that it broke in the shipping tube.I think that it was shipped broken. When the order is fulfilled with no issues then all is fine. However, as someone who's purchased multiple times from Tackle Direct, when there ARE issues it's difficult to get someone on the line. Furthermore, sometimes things are listed in-stock and end up not shipping at all because they are not in stock. 90% of the time ordering from Tackle Direct is fine, 10% of the time made me take my first choice elsewhere. Amazon Prime actually.
One of these reels obviously was not new. Had scratches but was in good condition, so I didn't say anything. I live in Mexico and only shop from companies that get it right - especially on my first order. My daughter brought these reels down from the Chicago area.
I was disappointed when you informed me you had advertised an item which was not available. Fortunately, because you let me know and I remained patient, it worked out.
May be good to tighten up the relationship when advertising drop shipped goods to avoid this risk of failure.
I've ordered from tackle direct multiple times, I always receive my items fast. I ordered this rod and reel combo for my wife. She absolutely loves it! Her first fish she caught on it was a little 17 inch gag grouper. This combo has performed better than expected.
Answer: Yes, other companies I have used for online purchases are much better with communications and customer service.
