Placed order. Some items were backordered. It wasn't clear what the status was - if they would be canceled or eventually ship. Customer service was very helpful. Good quality products.
When I first ordered this rod and reel combo,it was out of stock so I emailed customer service. I had two different customer service representatives try and contact me.The first customer service representative walked me through my options and convinced me to keep the order. The second customer service representative only contacted me to let me know they canceled my order.
So when they canceled the first order, after I had already agreed to keep the order, I simply ordered it again. The first customer service representative did a great job and due to the fact that she assured me I would receive the item I order, I put in a second order.
The second order went fine, it did take a little longer like she said, but there was very little communication. They ended up sending the rod and the reel separately. I had never had that done, so when I only received the real I was a little shocked. Luckily, I remembered that my original shipping info included two tracking numbers. There was no instruction that they would be sent separately, but I was able to piece it together. It was just a little confusing.
Ultimately though, I really don't want to judge tackle direct based on this particular situation because I know how it's been for all businesses. That being said, the communication could have been better.
I did not receive the complete Finnor LT*******MH Lethal 40/701 Spinning Combo. I only received the rod. I have not received any other packages. Have not received the Lethal 40 reel nor have I received the Multi Purpose Spool/Gear Velcro Wraps.
Ordered a simple box of 100 hooks, usually here within a couple days, they took a couple of weeks and I understand that the whole world is that a crisis with COVID-19 so I guess that is to be expected when ordering things these days!
Fishing pole sent from phenix was not top coated. Drop shipping. I contacted them and they said that they come that way from their supplier. I felt deceived
Product in stock availability was off. When i ordered my product it said avalible and then i got an email saying out of stock and it took 3 weeks to get the other half of my order.

Nobody had Penn reels in stock and just when I was given up Tackle Direct had the reel I wanted and ordered a pole to match the reel. Pricing was great and shipping was very fast.
Did not know the item i purchased was a backordered item. I waited a month for it to be shipped out. I could of ordered some where else if I would of known.

Reel I received was scratched/anodizing rubbed off in multiple places. I was in a pinch and needed the reel, so I just had to deal with it vs sending it back for a different one.
They didnt take my call and never responded to my email requesting an order change to revise and get the actual rod I needed.
I sent the email over a week before my item shipped.
A few items were evidently out of stock when I placed my order. I went back and checked and I wasn't billed for the out of stock merchandise...

TackleDirect was very good at communicating where my order was in the process since it was a back-ordered item. The item I received was what I ordered and I had no issues with my purchase.
Love shopping here, only complaint is I tried to add a rod sleeve to my order and it only asked if I wanted to add it to my wish list, wouldn't let me add to cart, what's up with that?
