I enquired about a discount on an Avet MXL 6/4 Raptor 2-speed reel and was advised "Avet is a price protected brand and we cannot issue discounts on their items. We offer free mono-filament line. What lb test would you want? Let me know". In conflict with that advice, TackleDirect has recently promoted a 10% discount of all Avet reels. Additionally, TackleDirect charged me $5.49 for 'free' Hi-Seas line. Whilst a small sum of money, it had no authority to charge the sum to my account without my consent.
The gear that I purchase from you is simply NOT AVAILABLE in Australia where I reside. Similar stuff is, however, the quality products that I seek are not. It has become very evident over my 60+ years of fishing that Australia is simply a dumping ground for manufacturers second rate products. NONE of the top line equipment is supplied here, and when it does occasionally arrive, is priced so high it is prohibitive to purchase. Tackle Direct are awesome in their supply and efficiency. Very nice company! I got a call back when i requested one and the fellow was very accommodating. I just wish that when you order an Egift card from them, you could choose the date you want it delivered!
Every order I have received from Tackle Direct has been correct with a quick delivery time.
The last order was for a Falcon Inshore rod which I received within the week.
I ordered the rod for my brother to go on a Redfish/Trout trip. He said the rod performed exceptionally well.
When I placed my order it said items were in stock. After 5 days I checked my order status it said order not found. I tired to make contact twice through email never got a response. I kept checking the order status it kept saying order not found. So I figured my order was canceled. Then out of nowhere I get an email that the items shipped and money was taken from my account. Luckily I already ordered from another company and got the reels 15 days ago and really like them and now have 2 back up reels.
I get the impression that a lot of retailers have a seriously depleted inventory in this summer of 2020. Aside from that, I'm happy with TackleDirect. Unlike another supplier of e-orders, TackleDirect would get me my goodies within a week. I appreciate that. This is the place I would turn to for my saltwater needs.
Made 2 orders, after 15 days of being pending requested to cancel them, one was cancelled, luckily it was the mayor one, but the other one was not. The cancellations were requested at the same time. The customer service advised after shipping that the order was not cancelled and that a label to return items may be filled, however Im ordering from Costa Rica to an address in FL, so I can no fill out the order nor organice the return. The delay was not acceptable, that is why I requested the cancellation, I needed the reels with in 10 days which is what usually takes to get items from other vendors.
Web page, shopping system, variety and quality of products and personal attention is amazing. TackleDirect is the only place I think of when I'm looking for new fishing equipment, even though I live in Mexico City.
The package took a long time to get here because of the covid-19 shipping situation but a week faster than tackle warehouse was able to for the same product. All in all your product line is as comprehensive as tackle warehouse but because they are in California I get all of my deliveries the second day after the on line order

I e-mailed a question to TackleDirect on June 15,2020, and didn't receive reply until July 20,2020. No doubt the covid-19 pandemic played a significant role in this delay. But not being able to talk to a human being was a little frustrating (but I did receive my order in time before going on a recent fishing trip). It won't greatly impact prospects for me buying from you folks in the future, but based on this one experience, I couldn't give >3 stars.
