The first delivery went missing on it's way from the US to South Africa. After I contacted TackleDirect their response was immediate and I've received the replacement in less than a week.

I found the Star Rod Hand Crafted I had been looking for, (in stock) for while; after shopping around for a few days, Tackle Direct had the best price, after the order the rod arrived two days earlier than quoted. I waited to review until I had used it and I not disappointed, it is solid! I pulled a 5.5' Spinner Shark out of the water to keep her away from the pier pylons while a cable was being a dropped down. I have this rod attached to a Penn Spinfisher V 7500 w/ 65lb Power Pro (terminal tackle varies).

I was disappointed that I had items back order. Every thing I ordered said it was in stock. I changed some of my items to something else because they were on back order. Would not ordered anything that is back order because you never know when you will receive them.
Ordered an Okuma 741 PCH-C XXH rod. Tackle direct had the best price to begin with, provided free shipping, and since it was my first order with them I received an extra discount. Rod came when they said it would and was packaged very well. Excellent experience with this company.
Only received part of an order. Assume it was ups issue. Was handled in 1 day and rest of order received in 2. Definitely my favorite fishing store!
My original order came with a busted open pouch of gulp bait, but you guys replaced my items and I was very pleased with that level of customer experience. I will only buy from you guys from now on. Thank you you guys are awesome!
TackleDirect had a great price for a quality product that was difficult to find in my location. Shipping was fast and arrived sooner than expected. I would buy from them again and recommend them to my fishing buddies.
Decent price, but I received just a part of the order initially, as unbeknownst to me there were items on factory backorder. Either I did not pick up on that fact at the time of the order, or that information was not relayed to me until later in the process. I will shop Tackle Direct in the future.

I received my first order much quicker then when I order Tackle Warehouse. I did however have back orders on a couple of the items that did come in 10-14 days after my original order did.
Clearly the rod was broken when shipped because the tube it shipped in is too short for a 7' rod? WTF!
After receiving my fishing Pole I took it on the ocean and was overly satisfied with the performance of the rod. The sensitivity of the right was perfect, The backbone of the, was superior. I do plan to purchase other items from tackle direct when I see the opportunity.
I ordered some 50 packs of swivels. My order was delayed. I called customer service. I was told that the 50 packs had not been in stock. The customer service agent substituted 10 packs, which were in stock, to fulfill the total number of swivels I ordered. I received the 10 packs in a few days. Very good customer service.
I received a portion of my order. I'm still waiting on the remainder of my order. I emailed customer service. There initial response was within two days. I followed up a week later with another email. No answer after a week. I emailed again. This time the response was within hours with the final message being "would you like to cancel your order?". No, I don't want to cancel my order. I would like my order filled.
Placed a order, shipped and received in a reasonable amount of time, Fishing pole was very well packaged and protected from shipping damage. All in all, a very positive experience and will order from them again.
A friend of mine got me to try Tackle Direct and it has been a pleasure. I almost always find the items I want and they are IN STOCK. That is frequently not the case with some other tackle businesses.

Item which was ordered I was notified that it was on back order
After some time went by I decided to call to see how much longer only to find out that the item was there and simply wasn't shipped. The person I spoke with immediately shipped it out.
Bottom line, not sure how long my order was going to remain unfilled if I didn't call
Great selection and service. When they say that they price match, it is not lipservice. They price-matched a product that I had found cheaper on another site, no questions, no hassle, just prompt and excellent service. The real even came spooled with braided line. That was a pleasant surprise that I did not expect. I will definitely use them again.
It took three weeks for my order to be shipped to my house and Tackledirect said there was nothing they could do to expedite it. They said they were going to email me an additional lure because of the delay but then they never did. It was very poor customer service.
I ordered on May 1st 4 of the Bang Products. I still haven't received the product. My order number ******* is still showing pending review. The only explanation I have been given is pandemic is causing shipping delays and you are waiting for a shipment from Bass Assisign. The money was taken out of my account on May 1st and I still haven't received a product.
Answer: Yes, other companies I have used for online purchases are much better with communications and customer service.
