Poor customer service; don't buy here.

The flashlights are OK, but not as special as represented. Mostly I have been disappointed with the company's service. After I ordered 4 flashlights, I received an email from the company's Founder that implied that the flashlights took a special rechargeable battery, along with a link to their supplier. I contacted the company to complain about $13 flashlights that required $14 batteries and $10 charger. They offered me a special price for battery/charger sets, so I ordered them. It turns out that the flashlights do not require special batteries, so the batteries & charges I was sent are not only unnecessary, the batteries they sent are too big to fit the flashlights. After a couple of friendly but non-committal email exchanges with the company, I offered to pay the postage back for the battery/charger sets if they would accept them back for full credit (one battery had been opened). The company said they might let me return them, but only credit me for their cost, not my cost. After a couple more email exchanges, they stopped responding to emails or phone messages. I notified Visa that I disputed this charge and I suddenly got another response from the company. However, now they refuse to give credit for the one battery I opened. (How else would one find out that the battery did not fit in the flashlight?) Bottom line, the product is a bit oversold but the company gets a really large lump of coal in their stocking for poor customer service. Don't buy here; there are equal products available from companies that care more about their reputation in the marketplace.
