Never Again
January 26, 2022

Just received a 300.00 Le Creuset dutch oven via UPS with a cracked handle. No more in stock in my color. They are forcing me to repackage this very heavy piece, and schlepp it to a UPS store as they closed the only SLT store in CT. The customer service dept. is no longer in the US, and they are not service oriented. Find a local kitchen store and avoid this place as it is by far no longer what it once was. Good riddance, SLT.

Great Customer Service

Called Customer Service to adjust purchase ordered but had problem using gift card. Cesar deftly assisted in canceling my initial order and replaced it using the gift card number making the purchase easier, less frustrating, and more satisfying. THANK YOU, Cesar!

I was given a digital gift certificate by my wife for a Date Night cooking class this past February. Unfortunately, we had a conflict on the night that the class was scheduled and had to cancel. Sur La Table issued us a digital credit, which I lost! I just called Sur La Table customer service (over five months since we canceled the class) and described the situation. I only had our names and email addresses - no order number, class number, etc. Within two minutes Brianna located our transaction, provided the order number, and reissued the credit! She was super friendly and fast!

I was assisted by an on-line associate named Ruben. He was very polite and knowledgeable and adjusted the price of the order which I had made within the two week period of adjustment eligibility. Once I saw that the item was further reduced from the price I had paid, I called Sur La Table and I was very impressed and happy with his quick response and assistance.

Sur La Table, ("syur lah tahb-leh") translates "on the table". It matters to me how the best recipes, created in my kitchen end up on my table. You too?
Then Sur La Table is the place to find the right baking/cooking tools for the project, time saving gadgets, cutlery, cookware, flatware, linens, accessories, small electrics and more to make a home-cook look like a pro. You can even hone your skills with a cooking class in the open kitchen classroom at the back of the store.

I needed to purchase a wedding gift and I needed advice to decide on such a gift. I calked customer service. Ricardo, with knowkedge, experience and excellent understanding of the type of item required, successfully guided me though my choice. He was very attentive and cordial and effective.

Bad Experience
January 19, 2021

Very dirty while I was taking a cooking class in Southlake and I noticed Health code violations. I witnessed a mouse/rat that ran across the floor. Before that I saw violations that wouldn't pass inspection but shortly after I saw the mouse/rat run across the floor I immediately walked out. Don't come for the classes, awful experience.

Horrible customer service
February 23, 2022

I made a purchase at Sur le Table number 133 before Christmas for gifts for my husband. Due to many of these stores being closed down I had to drive an hour out of my way to purchase these items for him. Unfortunately our Christmas got delayed because of Christmas. My husband did not approve of the items I purchased so I try to return them all intact in the same bag with a receipt tags on every item, none of these items were seasonal as they were all utensils for the kitchen that they sell every day in the store. These items could be literally put back on the shelf right now to be resold however the store manager was very rude and would not even make an exception to make these returns happen. I explained the situation and then I asked her corporate number after getting transferred three times while standing inside the store corporate was not able to help me due to the simple fact apparently that I did not make these purchases online. I am very disappointed in this customer service I would like to be contacted ASAP about this. I could completely understand exceptions not being made if these were seasonal items marked on items or items they don't sell anymore or from even a different store but this was the store that I got these items from. I had to drive one hour to make this return happen as we were out of town and was not able to get here sooner. I honestly cannot believe how lacking good customer service is in this store! Customer service does not serve the customer

I bought a cooking class that is a month away, and the response I received was beyond unhelpful. I was told I had to go in person to a store to ATTEMPT to get reimbursed for a class I bought online that is a month away. WOW.

Terrific Service
July 18, 2022

I recently bought some items at your Carlsbad, California store, using a gift card from my daughter and her family but I lost the receipt and the card information so I was unable to use the remaining credit on the card.
I called the Carlsbad store and talked with Simona who told me she could not access the card information from her store but she promptly gave me the number of Sur La Table's Customer
Service. I called that number and spoke with Ruben. Within a half hour he found the gift card information and sent me a new gift card, with the credit balance, via e-mail. TERRIFIC service.

One excuse after another!
December 30, 2022

Ordered a dutch oven pot Nov. 25 - email tells me it shipped Dec 11th - Christmas day and nothing shows up - no tracking # given - I contact customer service & they tell me they will send a tracking # - never received - next call to them, I'm told the item is back ordered till March 2023 and I say I am willing to wait - then I receive an email saying they are refunding the money which I did not ask for - upon calling again and asking to speak with a manager, (dog barking in the background), I am told that the item # no longer exists for that product - they will place another order in a different color except I will have to give them a credit card # again - RED FLAGS -
In short, they really don't want to honor the item or price of this transaction - one run around after the other - will never do business with Sur La Table again! - BEWARE
