Supermarket Italy

Customer service told me a gift card could be included. Sent the message in a separate email, per her instructions, but nothing was added. Would order food gifts for Christmas if this situation was addressed -- who wants to send a gift, then call after it's arrived to let them know it's from me.

I found Supermarket Italy while looking for a specific product from Italy which I found as well as a huge variety of imported products from various location. The website worked without any glitches up to and including the whole checkout process. Everything was delivered in a timely manner packaged very carefully. No way any one item would have broke or been damaged without the whole box being run over or something close.

These were packaged incorrectly without ice. When I contacted you and asked for advice I was told, "FedEx is working on it, you will get them this week." 8 days of non-refrigeration of the olives in shipment does not sound edible to me. Why did you not put ice in? Your customer service was no service, it was a delay tactic. I am very upset about losing money.

We were looking for a particular flavor of mints imported from France and packed in a decorative metal tin box. Found exactly what we wanted at Supermarket Italy. Quick ship, well packed. Only reason for not giving 5 stars was the shipping cost, which seemed a bit high for a small package to travel from New Jersey to CT.

The team at supermarket Italy does an amazing job packing their specialty items for shipment. Everything is wrapped individually and securely. It would be impossible for anything to be damaged unless the box was pierced somehow.

I have shopped at Supermarket Italy several times and have always been very satisfied with my shopping experience. If there is any issue with my order, I receive an email and can get that issue resolved quickly and with confidence.

Truly enjoy shopping with your store and love how you pack the glass products. You may want to look at bagging the jar items due to the glass jar was intact but did leak leaving a bit of a mess and could not use the item. Overall, the shipping and packing are above par in my opinion. I believe this is my second or third order with orders of 8 or more jars at time for each order and this was the only problem that I have had. Oh, if you can please tell the crew in packing and shipping that they are doing a great job!

Easy to navigate site; fun, interesting products not typically found elsewhere. Even though it was nicely packaged, the cold pack with ice block was not only melted, but warm to the touch (it is very hot here.) No food was ruined and I will be a repeat customer.

Lots of great products. Ordering was easy. Arrived in a timely way. The only thing I would encourage the company to do is back off on the plastic packaging. I think you could easily do 25-40% less packing material and everything would be just as safe. Otherwise, great!

I would give you 4 or 5 stars if it was not for your asking "To show appreciation for the team...". I found it disgusting that most companies now disguise price increases with all sorts of requests for tips...

Customer service is terrible. I signed up for notifications, and the 10% discount code supplied with that didn't work. I selected an item to purchase, but the description in the ad/posting didn't match what I wanted to order. It took multiple emails & texts to get any semblance of a resolution.

Quick and easy. My order arrived safely so well packed with care to avoid breakage! I will definitely be ordering from Supermarket Italy again since all the things I enjoyed growing up on the east coast are not available on the west coast.

Great selection as well as my favorites. Double bonus to find them on sale. The items all come so well wrapped and packaged I've never had an issue with the contents. Let me tell you Fed Ex is NOT gentle on the boxes.

Ordering it's easy, prices sometimes higher than your local market. Service is by email and pretty responsive. Deliveries are OK, Supermarket prepares the products with a lot of care and wraps them very well, unfortunately the delivery company is not as careful and precise as they are.

Excellent. Good communication that let me know they had shipped and they had been delivered so I could verify. The glass jars were wrapped in HEAVY plastic bubble wrap individually and placed in the box so they would not move around. Very impressed this day and age when I get products torn, broken, etc. Everyone seems to be just wanting to get it out the door. Not these people.

Just fine except that you might not have what I want in stock so I might not get it after having spent the time placing the order. It'd be better if your online availability was accurate.

Also, I appreciate your care in wrapping the cans, but you used a huge amount of plastic bubble wrap and I wish you could use a lot less, especially since they were cans!

I found some hard-to-find items on your site so I'll definitely be back. Only disappointment was the jar of lemons, which was putrid.

I have to compliment you on how well all the items were packed, especially those that were quite breakable. They were bubble wrapped with the utmost care so I was confident everything would be in good condition. I'm sure it was a very time consuming process and I appreciate the effort.

First time ordering and could not be happier with quick shipping and most importantly how well everything was packed. I'm used to Amazon just throwing the items in a large box where Supermarket Italy packed each jar of cherries individually in plenty of bubble wrap and the same with the chocolate bars. Thank you

I LOVE your Madras Curry but my order contained one damaged Curry that spilled all over the bag. Not a huge deal, but my daughter in CA which I didn't mean to send any to but noticed I paid for, received 6 and 3 of hers were damaged and made a huge mess. She threw them all away disgusted. I sent you a photo but it won't let me paste it into this box. I never heard back from y'all as to whether or not you'd be refunding me for the 4 out of 12 that I paid for which were damaged. That's why you got a 2 stars out of 5.

This is the second time I've ordered from this company. They are exceptionally fast. I placed an order on a Wednesday night (late), and received my order Saturday morning! Great products! Great service!
