In january my wife sent for samples of this companies super acai and super hoodia believing that she was getting samples only having to pay postage to trial these two products and then decide whether to continue with it or not it made her stomach very sore so she stopped for two weeks then started again and thats when the email arrived billing us for £75 and telling us that another shipment was on the way at which point I took them to task and duely informing our credit card company of our problems and may at this point in time have had £150 taken from our account we also found out that this company is well known to the fraud department and has robbed and conned many people, it is an American based company that keeps changing its name using the same scam to defraud people at this moment we are awaiting due process from our credit card company to make sure this has been stopped

I had exactly the same experience detailed in your account above from this fraudulently trading company and have managed to get some of my money back by contacting the company directly and confronting them directly their site's deliberate intention to defraud everyone not reading the T&Cs. Also, the banks dealing with these unscrupulous internet company have to be more accountable where a small sum of £2.95 is enough to allow them to sanction the unauthorised payments from your account without giving you the option to decline payment.
SuperAcai/PureSlim is clearly in breech of ' The Consumer Protection, Distance Selling Regulations 2000 Act'. Under this act, as an Internet trader, SuperAcai/ PureSlim Limited, Unit 10 Watchmoor Trade Centre, Camberly, Surrey GU15 3AJ, must inform you at the outset that they they will be sending you this exorbitantly priced and possibly poisonous product every month until you notify them not to do so. Hiding the details of their deception behind an insignificant 'terms of trade' box hidden away at the bottom of their web site is the key to their deception and must be brought to the Trading Standards Office's attention or alternatively you could contact www.actionfraud.gov.uk.
What you should now do is to send SuperAcai Limited a cancellation notice of their trial by recorded delivery and this must be done within three months of your starting the trial product. You also must state in your letter the Act identified above together with brief details of what has transpired since you initiates the trial. It is also imperative that you keep a comprehensive and accurate record of all of your dealings with SuperAcai so that you can present them as evidence before a Small Claims Court, where I am assured you will be able to recover the full amount of the illegally taken funds from your credit card plus all of your expenses incurred in recovering the payments. A County Court Judgement against them would be a very costly business mistake so if they are sensible they will settle before it gets that far.
