I placed two orders for school supplies, supposedly shipped next day. Over a week later and multiple messages I received 1 of 60 items. It is the day before back to school, I do not have any supplies, and I didn't budget to purchase supplies 2x. They finally issued a refund which will take 3 to 5 business days to process. Now my kids have to start school without supplies. Terrible business, terrible customer service, just all around terrible. If I could give negative stars I would. Will never shop there again and will make sure no one I know does either. Should have ordered from Amazon and would not be in this predicament.
They cheated on me! I bought more than $3k furniture from them. The quality is as garbage! And three main pieces did not deliver yet after one week based on their receipt. The status of my order is unknown! I will never buy from them.
Do not waste your money and time. It
Ordered 2 items. Called for curbside pick up, told them i have 2 orders. Went home realized they only gave me 1. I called them again told the situation, they said I can pick it up whenever cuz I'm not available for the next 2 days! Now they've been calling me saying I only have 2 days to pick it up or else they will cancel my order! What an experience. So disappointed!
I ordered a chair on Staples.ca, and it showed as "available". Actually it was out of stock. In order to let me place another order for a similiar product, they offered me a coupon for $25.
The coupon value was promptly refunded to my card and the chair that i bought was as good as the one before or better.
Great customer service, prompt replies to my queries and polite manner! It was such a pleasant experience! Thank you!
Staples is so reliable and has an excellent selection on line or in store. There is always help available and they have some pretty good sales each week.
I am not liking having to search for coupons for deals when previously I would show my teacher card and get discounts for my classroom-please return to showing our card--you have collected all our private information--this should be just done at the till. I now feel 'tracked'. At least make the coupons timely and more inclusive of our needs so we aren't running around over multiple days--eg. Please don't send a coupon for one supply like and insane-bulk buy of glue one week (this week... far more than I will use in my classroom, appropriate for multiple rooms, or we need it when we need it... making slime in April shouldn't mean a crazy bulk buy in August because of the coupon!), office chairs (not buying) the next week it could be computers or tablets (also not buying, though some might buy this for PERSONAL use, not for multiple kids), day timers (also not buying, most make their own now or get the school division provided ones), markers (buying several packages, but they don't come that way). Please consider a coupon to teachers for ANY purchases made directly for use in the classroom that runs for a chunk of time (Say AUGUST through to end of JULY--the entire school year) so we can get it done when we can and need. Rural folks don't need to increase their carbon footprint (and cost to do the job) running back and forth over multiple weeks with piece-meal couponing (or even flash sale days) wondering if the supplies will even be there by then
I buy a lot of things for my office at Staples. They have good selection and prices.
Their sales are mostly useless as they generally start out expensive and moreover conditional, excluding many items. The website is pretty slow, filled to the brim with scripts and items available to be added to cart are actually out of stock or in very limited supply. Their in store pickup system can't coordinate well with their storefront, as they held an item on order for a week without any notification. Their in-store return is fairly painless, however.
Called to get a price match against Bestbuy.ca as there is no bestbuy in the city I live in so thought I would take advantage of the discount on toner for my laser printer, spoke to a person and they put me on hold for almost 45 minutes then told me they would not price match. Good thing I bought $1200 in toner at the same time thank you but no thank you staples.
Ordered a printer online from Staples. Instrad of printer they sent me a table and 2 chairs. Now my $365 refund is pending for almost a week until this $70 worth of chair and tables are picked by their courier service. They already failed to come and pick it up on the time they previously scheduled with me. So not sure when that will happen, and I will get my money back. It is quite a mess indeed. Will definitely never shop online from Staples.
They post lead time and when you call they make up info without checking. Was told two day for delivery and it took three weeks. When we called after a week they said another two days. We called after two weeks to cancel the order and they said you cannot cancel as the order is on the way. We sourced from another supplier and do not require any more. They blame a supplier, but I bought from Staples! Staples, take some responsibility. Your web site still says two days. Save aggravation and avoid.
Bad customer service
Rude arrogant laud
Parking on no stop zone
I think we have a lot of people who would like to work and have better customer service
Ordered a router on xmas (i'm aware that there will be delays due to the season). The router still hadn't shown up (as of the 31st) and the online tracking tool showed "No result found." After contacting customer service (CS) I was informed that a delivery attempt was made today. I clarified with CS that I have front door cameras which showed no delivery attempts. CS then mentioned that "They will investigate on this and will update you in 1-2 business days." So now I have to wait even longer before they decide what to do with me.
Unless staples.ca has a super deal, go with amazon. The price will likely be the same and they will actually deliver, not make up some BS excuse.
I frequently use the Staples store at Yonge and Eglinton, and the staff have always been wonderful. I went in last week to have my QR certificate laminated, and Jairo helped me. He was warm, kind, and very efficient. He made the process very easy for me. It is always a pleasure to visit this store. It is clean, well stocked and the prices are very good. However, the main reason I choose this store is the amazing staff, like Jairo. I am very grateful to Jairo, and to all the staff for their ongoing help and support.
I bought a black toner cartridge in April, 2021 for a Canon inkjet printer. It is now July when I need to replace the toner. The toner is defective and when I contacted customer support I was told that it's past 30 days and can't be returned as well it would need to be unopened. How would I know until I need to use it that it's defective and, how would I know if I don't open it? Completely ridiculous. They wouldn't even give me a discount for a new one to help remedy the situation. I see others have given bad ratings as well. I will take my business elsewhere even if it costs me more, purely on the principle!
My company orders our office supplies from Staples but for the past year they have not been with-holding to their policy of next day delivery. When I call to complain that our item still hasn't arrived 2 days later, they are only good at apologizing and doing nothing about it. I was then told that due to high volumes of orders they can take a few days to deliver. I asked where it said that on the website and they said it is not on there. THIS IS FALSE ADVERTISING. Their site shows next day delivery. It's cheaper and faster to purchase off Amazon.
Never, never, never waste your money on this warranty. What the clerk tells you is bullocks. By the time you are finished getting jacked up by Staples you could have bought a new computer. The warranty covers repairs not backups and no free computer replacement. You'll gave to pay $129. To have them do a backup for you if you don't know how to do it your self. You have to drop the PC off at a Staples store and it will be gone to the Depot for 10-15 business days, that's 2 -3 wks. Staples does not give you a new computer if it is beyond fixing but instead they give you a store credit for whatever the depreciated worth of your computer is. And that's not all. You have to spend that money on a new computer that is exactly the same model as the broken one. Gouging, greedy bunch. Big time misrepresentation.
I won't be buying anything from them anymore. They used to be my go-to store for literally everything.
Being the most recognized paper store and printing services business it is far from providing good services. It is completely unbelievable that for cancelled online services you have to go in store for refunds. It is the most primitive mechanism I have heard for refunding when purchasing online nowadays. Dont buy any online services from Staples, otherwise you will be wasting ypur time going back to store.
We have to use Staples at our store to get product and they Customer Service is NO help. Each time I call to ask for help with ordering, they always suggest "clearing my cookies and history" and it never helps. I just recently ordered bankers boxes to my store, the next day our order never came - turns out it was ordered to a store which I did not ask for. I went to the store for pick-up the following day, and my order wasn't there or ever placed...
I had a bad experience at 3003 Danforth Ave Staples ( pick up/releasing area). There's one rude girl employee. Don't like to purchase/pick up order anything from that location anymore.
