I was quoted a price $599. And it ended up being a $1,200.00. The quote was misleading! I was told over the phone that it would be approximately $650. Any addition vent would be $25. I had 2 dryer vents And they turned out to be $548. Meanwhile I had a vent made for each easy cleaning. I told the man doing the work and he said ok. I tried to get it adjusted to no avail! They are crooks and very deceiving. Never again! If you use them beware of the double talk and excuses! Lessens learned here! Not happy at all! They done care! There are plenty of suckers out there!

Remarkably unprofessional and uninterested in customer service. Manager never called back to address issues and resolve. Service not completed. Save your money, go elsewhere. I would not give any stars but at least one is required,

My technician was very nice and fast. I wish he would have taken a little more time because once the floor dried I have lines across the carpet going in every direction. Another thing is the steemer brought all the dust and dirt to the surface so part of the carpet looked clean and the high traffic areas looked 10x dingy. I also thought you go in one direction but that isn't the case. The other 2 floors were as high traffic so basic it looked as if someone vacuumed with hot water or mopped my carpet. Since I wanted to try this company so bad this is something I never have to do again. I could have spent the $136 on a actually carpet cleaner to use whenever.

I usually use Hagopian, but wasn't able to schedule quick enough, so I thought I'd try Stanley Steamer. First off, only one person came and he was clearly overwhelmed with the job. When our master bedroom was completed, I was asked to take a look. There were still three spots about the size of jar lid. I asked if he could retreat that area, which he did, but going way over where the spots were. I don't know what he used, but the area became a dirt magnet and became gray and dirty looking within a couple of weeks, much worse than it was when initially cleaned. I called and asked for someone to come out and take a look and was told that 10 days had passed and they would not back the job. This is a master bedroom that we never wear shoes in. Something was in the solution that caused the damage. We are getting the carpet replaced. I would NEVER recommend Stanley Steamer to anyone. They they don't back their service and could care less.

Stanley Steemer was having a so-called special $59 for two rooms. So today we set up an appointment between 9 AM and 11 AM. They didn't show up until 12 PM. They didn't care that they were wasting our time and that we were taking time off work. Instead of the $59 they advertise, they said the two rooms would be $350. When we tried to cancel, they said that there is a transportation service fee, basically extort us for money. When I spoke to the manager, she was rude, very unprofessional, and I would never recommend this company ever.

DO NOT USE! Quoted a bid for a very large living room for my 92 year old neighbor of $150. Once they were through the door it became $265! I had explained it was a large living room and she said "I should have told you over a certain sq footage the price went up"...but you didn't and now won't stand by their quote. My neighbor is 92 years old and was left in tears. Once they say it was an affluent area the price went up for their initial quote and scammed a 92 year old women on a fixed income. DO NOT USE!

I have cream color couch and loveseat. Paid $277 to clean after first clean left clean spots within dirty couch pillows. 2nd time a bit better but missed edges of cushions 3 time said they will not come out again. I guess I am out $300 and my time! The last time they just showed up no call no text. Sad

Stanley steamer sent a young man to clean my carpet 12/21/23. He stated I will be done in 45 min, he was to clean 2 bedrooms and my living room. I left for a doctors appointment, my husband was home. When I got back, I asked my husband why didn't he clean the living room. He stated he did, the master bedroom wasn't satisfactory, the second bedroom was clean, the carpet at the front door was still wet on Christmas Day. I tried Stanley steamer because in the past, I've tried the rest, and I heard Stanley steamer was the best. I'm very disappointed, I don't plan on using them again.

This company has exhibited the poorest customer service. Ive scheduled cleaning and gave specific instructions on size, bldg, rooms, contact etc. None of the information was convey properly, nor was the buisness concluded. I was offered a $10.00 discount for my troubles. I requested a manager callback...nothing. Ive used these services for years and never had these issues. Would really like resolution with sincerity. Please stop passing me off like my dollar doesn't matter or my valuable time wasted

Stanley Steemer, clean my carpets and my upholstery on my furniture. They were less than motivated, and only here for 20 minutes they wouldn't move a single piece of furniture and left everything in place. They did literally a strip. I can clean that in 10 minutes. It was no cleaner after they left and when they were here and it cost me $1400 the company doesn't even care enough to send a survey or follow up. Avoid this company at all cost. They are a scam.

Don't call stanley steamer especially in the columbia sc area. The guy that came to our house created a lot of work for me removing all the water from my carpet. I should not be able to pull up more than 2 cups of liquid from 1/2 of a room. I could have sprayed my floors with a waterhose myself. I had to move my own furniture he was just cleaning around it even my end table, coffee table and dining room chairs before he finally got the hint. He could have probably done a better job if he could put his phone down, and he would not have been banging the cleaner head repeated into my furniture legs. Called the same day to report this person but that fell on deaf ears. They do not refund money. 2 days later, after I had dried the floors with my own shampooer they offered to have someone come out to reclean. We have used this company for years but never again. I will stick with someone who respects my property and stands behind their work. Congratulations Stanley Steemer, you got me. Shame on you!
Looks like I'm not the only one with issues with this company. Check out social media. No wonder they don't stand behind their services, they would be broke. Bet they don't have a lot of repeat business since this location is no longer a locally owned franchise but corp owned.

6 months ago I paid over 400.00$ to have a small carpet cleaned and 5 air ducts cleaned. The two men were here for about twenty minutes. I asked them if they cleaned the heating system and ducts, they said yes but I was right here and they did not do them! I will NEVER call them again. Now we more dust than we have ever had from the heat vents!

Our home remodeling took a bit longer to finish, so I called ahead to check if an extension of our coupons was possible, yes no problem. I called again the day before for the ducts cleaning service and everything looked good, they would honor it, which was of sort a pre-requisite to go ahead with the job.
Guess what it didn't happened, the crew next day refused to honor the arrangement.
I sent them off, period.
Unprofessional and shoddy business practice.
Do not recommend.

We scheduled an air duct cleaning this month (January 2023) with Stanley Steemer in Dallas because we had been told it is a good idea for a newly constructed house to clean out dust and debris from construction, and a friend recommended them from good service they had received. Before starting the work, their technician reported to us that, while he was happy to do the work if we wanted it, we did not need it. He showed us photos he took of the inside of our ductwork, and that the ducts were clear. He said we could cancel the service with no charge. We called the Stanley Steemer office, and they confirmed that there would be no charge for the technician's visit if we cancelled. We submitted a compliment of the technician to his supervisor and thanked them for their honesty. I would not hesitate to call them back in the future for other cleaning services - or if our ducts ever do need cleaning.

I called Stanley Steamer from Rochester, NY to clean my carpets on June 9th, they did a horrible job left blue stripes on my carpet that were not there in addition the damaged my wood work all the way to my stairs, entry way and living room; in addition one of the workers stole a flashlight that I had on my basement and he was the only one that was there, this person was very disrespectful. I called them several times they sent their crew twice, but the blue didn't come off it made it a little lighter. The owner will not call me back after several phone calls. Very irresponsible. Do not deal with them. The last picture was before they cleaned the carpets.

These jokers (Hartford, CT franchise) showed up at my house and TRIPLED the price I was provided "on the recorded line" when I scheduled with them the day before.

I shared the EXACT square footage to be cleaned and discussed the very simple, new construction project in detail with the hack scheduler I had the ‘pleasure' of speaking with and they had the audacity to tell me that person must've gotten it wrong.

$50 more is wrong. $100 more is unacceptable. TRIPLE is insane.

What a joke of an operation with unreliable, untalented and embarrassing employees at apparently all levels of this company. I can go rent a supermarket steam cleaner and do it myself for $40. That's 1/10th of what these fools told me.

Don't listen to the national advertising that is obviously a stretch at best… and be sure you check pricing BEFORE they start the screw job on you! What a waste of time.

Bought a package deal for carpet cleaning. 4 separate cleanings for carpet. Recently had all carpet removed and hardwood installed. They refuse to let me use my remaining cleanings on anything but wall to wall carpet. Will not clean couch, area rugs, or even carpet for neighbors next door. Reuse to even work with me to get anything cleaned. Absolute worst customer service. I lost money on this deal because they could care less about their customers. Will NEVER use this company again. Buyer beware when dealing with this company!
