Pathetic, weak plants
October 10, 2021

Last spring, I ordered three hydrangeas. What arrived, after a couple of weeks, were three little sticks with tiny roots in a little loose potting soil or dirt. I also ordered a bag of fertilizer tablets, and I planted the three hydrangea in prepared soil with the fertilizer as instructed. I watered and waited. One of the plants sent out shoots. Then another one sent out one pale shoot. The third one never showed any sign of life. After a couple of weeks, the second one died. The third one struggled on. I watered every few days as needed. But by summer's end, it, too, looked dead. The company finally responded to my several complaints by sending me a coupon of one replacement plant. Over $100 spent on nothing! Don't order from them. Go to a nursery near you and buy a plant that will live.

What a Joke!

6 weeks ago I order $119 of plants all saying available to ship. No correspondence other than junk mail "offers" and every time I go to my orders I see either back ordered or "available to ship" that is 2 weeks out which continually changes to another 2 weeks. They charged me at time of order. Unlike Brecks which has awesome customer service this place is horrible and difficult to contact.

Place is a total rip off. My wife order plants in late winter. Spring planting delivery was promised, then delayed and delayed. When the first items arrived a number of the bags contained just soil. Of course they charged the credit card and now it is too late to dispute the charge. Guess it is money gone.
No response to emails.

STAY AWAY!

I ordered several plants in early-September to plant this fall. Spring Hill supposedly ships items when it is planting time for the particular plant. My shipment was supposed to arrive by 10/9. It is now 10/26 and I just received a shipping notice with only part of my order. The rest will be shipping by mid-November. Some of the items I ordered were out of stock before they shipped, and now it is too late to order them from another nursery.

I ordered 2 column apple trees, listed as avail., need 2 different varieties to pollinate. I get email that one is not available anymore, I wrote back to cancel the other tree, but they sent out 1 at the same time they send me the email. I was forced to order another tree. 2 weeks later I get 1 tree, packaged upside down. Tree has sick leaves and a broken top. Surprisingly I got my second choice tree a couple of days later, packaged correctly, but with the same results as the 1st. 2 days later I get another unexpected tree. Springhill nursery said they would credit it back the money for the unavailable tree, no talk about a replacement. This tree was strong, healthy, but broken in half in 2 spots. Too much money spent and Springhill nursery is quiet. 0 stars.

Kept postponing ship date for 6 MONTHS!

I purchase $124 worth of plants, including grapes and blueberries in January 2022 with an original ship date of March. It's June now and still no plants. The shipping date was extended every time I checked the order status. These plants are for spring planting. They will not survive transplanting in the heat of summer, so I canceled the order. Dishonest of them to collect money for plants they can't supply after 6 whole months. I haven't received a refund yet either. I am livid. Please don't make the same mistake. Their business is a kiting scam.

Received frozen clematis plants. Plants arrived with black frozen foliage. They were shipped FedExp but it took nearly two weeks to arrive. Plants were small and not strong enough to survive two weeks in a dark uninsulated box with exposure to February temperatures. Shipped too early. Needed to be shipped in March/April for our zone. Reached customer service by phone. They are sending a replacement at NC. Recommend calling rather than filling out their form and waiting for a reply. The phone representative was great.

Terrible business
September 13, 2022

Ordered 3 perennials and I received 3 little twigs that never rooted. I wrote to the company and received a replacement certificate. Placed a new order over phone and tried to use my certificate. I was told that it wasn't valid. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was placed on hold. Never spoke to anyone again even though they had my phone numbers, address and email
Stay away!

The same story happened to us. Plants not delivered and no refund after months. There are hundreds of similar stories. Is there an attorney willing take on a lawsuit? There will be hundreds to sign-on.

Disease or dead plants shipment not received or way to early or extensive delays never again there pictures look great but that is not reality they are not worth it. Your time energy or your money buy you plants else where your garden and Mother Earth deserve much better

I will never order from them again. I placed my order early in spring. After it was too late to order elsewhere they tell me they are out of stock on one item. The next item came at the start of summer, not when you are supposed to be planting. The third item I still have not seen. Says it will come the middle of July, which is NOT when you are supposed to be planting! Never Again!

I got credit for one plant already but I am disappointed in my honeysuckle plant especially. The roots are so shallow

Don't waste your time or money
July 31, 2022

I placed my order on 3/14/2022. I received notification that I would receive my order around 4/6-4/7/2022. It took a couple of calls complaining that I had not received my order and it was June. Late June my order came. I ordered live plants…they were dead on arrival. Done with this company. Photo is of pink mushy grass

Buyer Beware
March 25, 2022

Make sure when you order you indicate the catalog number. It's not enough to go by what is indicated when you place your order. I ordered four miniature delphinium plants at $9.99 each, on sale. What I received were two plants at $20.00 each, full price.
Call customer service and was told I didn't put the catalog number on my order. Although the nursery was having at nursery wide 50% off sale until April 13th, they would not honor it. Offered to pay for shipping if they would send out two additional plants. Nope!
This was my first and my last order with these people.
As I said, BUYERS BEWARE!

Never received order

I ordered a hydrangea bush as a gift for a friend the 5th if March. It was advertised as "in stock" at the time. On my receipt said it would ship when it was the correct time for my growing group in southwest MO. I was to receive an email when it shipped. I never did get a shipping notice so called yesterday. The call went to a foreign call center who finally located my order (I had the order # but it still took time). I was informed it was on back order and probably wouldn't ship til almost August; significantly past transplant time. I asked for a refund. I wonder how long it will take. I suggest you order from a reputable company and stay away from this one.

The order and confirmation shows ship date 4/19-5/03. After many calls to check on status (calls dropped or voices cutting in and out) I was told shipping mid June. I had to go through a new order line to find out. I believe agents are outside the US.

I ordered some hydrangeas from them in January for spring planting. The delivery time has been pushed back several times. Current estimate is end of June to mid July. Just got an advert from them for the same plant, for $10 less. When I called they said the delivery for the cheaper plant was fall. They wouldn't give me the cheaper price on my Jan. Order either. Not buying from them again.

HORRIBLE SERVICE

I placed an order in in early March. They're website said delivery would be end of March beginning of April. It's the end of April and I've received nothing. I called to get an update now being told delivery some time in June. No apologies, no concern, etc from their end.
I cancelled the order there are far better companies to buy from.

Very slow dwelivery

I placed an order for $240 in hydrangeas in February and I was told delivery would be in February or March. It is now June and only one plant has arrived and it was extremely small. I called today and cancelled the order and the refund they are providing is $36 less than what I paid which is far less than the price of the one plant I received.
Needless to say, I will not do business with Spring Hill Nurseries again.

I placed a big order (over $100) in March and was told plants would ship in the appropriate planting season. It is now mid-May, and the plants have not shipped. Our planting season is pretty much over now! I emailed and asked what the problem was, never heard back, so I called and canceled my order, requesting a refund. I was told the plants were due to ship May 23. Too late! I would never do business with this nursery again and advise others to beware. I would give them a 0 star if that was an option!
