I recently went to sport check to sharpen my expensive figure skates that I use for professional skating. The guy was very rude to me and took over an hour to sharpen them. When I picked them up, I noticed scratches all over and a type of oil on the boot itself. I decided to bring them in to a professional figure skating store and they told me that the blade was completely ruined and skate stores would not accept them cause the tail was completely rounded. Those skates were new and I got them about a week before. The rounded tail unbalanced the skate. If you have figure skates, do not trust them with your skates.

Every time I shop at sports check, I regret walking through their doors. Consistently their products are at a significant markup comparatively to stores of similar products. Almost always if you look at an item at sports check you will find the product cheaper at competing stores or online. Anytime I have purchased an item from sport check I have almost always regretted my purchase. Please for you own sanity and for the health of your bank account shop somewhere else.

I would highly recommend to not make any acquisition from this substandard company. I ordered two pants which I haven't get it. It's been a week since it says delivered. I tried to call them trillion times, but all in vain. Thereafter, I left a lot of emails, and they haven't even reverted once. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM SPORTS CHEK. It's a scam..

Masonville - London
I went in search of new shoes with specific requirements. Standing in the shoe dept, there was an employee standing doing back twists, not paying any attention to what was going on around him, until a young woman in a blue sweater and proceeded to show him a gold chain and attachment that she wore around her neck. After 30 secs of this, they went in different directions, and then there were NO staff in that area of shoes.
I had to wander across the store to the other side to the 'Service desk' where 4 employees were standing around chatting with a person and her new baby. I assume that she was an employee on mat leave or a previous employee.
One of this group approached to offer assistance. I accepted and commented about the earlier clerk who summarily ignored me, and she commented that he must have had another customer. I told her that it was apparent that he did not, due to the length of time that he was doing his spinal twist exercises. She said that he would be 'spoken to' about this. I have my doubts.
She did get someone out of the back to assist me.
We went to the show wall, had a brief discussion about what I needed, had to check the attributes of shoes using her handheld device, disappeared into the back and returned with a pair of shoes, then she was off again (the store was not busy whatsoever from what I could see).
I inserted my orthotics into the shoes and had a brief walk about, and as I looked around for her for more assistance she was not to be found.
I figured that I shouldn't have to work this hard to give a store my money, and I left.

I should have paid more attention to the reviews of this store and not wasted my time,
As I now have to drive out to a specialty store where the staff are knowledgeable and attentive.

Bad customer service

I returned a package by mail and I paid for the shipping m the UPS delivered the package to their store, it's been 2 month I am waiting for the order refund, I called the customer service 5 times and they are useless.

Not recommended at all

I ordered my first pair of nikes online, waited 3 days to arrive only to find out it was $#*!ing used! Unbelievable! I opened the package and it wasnt even wrap properly, the inside part of the shoe is not filled with the paper, shoelaces are untied, obvious dirt and debris can be seen on the bottom of the shoe. Never buying at sportscheck again. Called customer service told me to return it back, and she will place another order in and hanged up abruptly. Called again i was put on hold and put down 3 times. I found out she did not even placed another order and i already returned my item. I lost my deal and shoe. Very UNPROFESSIONAL, and RUDE. Waste of time. Tsk...

Beware of hidden website terms!

I would avoid buying from them at all costs. Their online order flow does not notify consumers of their return policies exceptions and instead they bury the terms on their website. What consumer will scour their website to find them before they order? Plus they do not even bother to deliver via email those terms to consumers with their order confirmation and invoice. Sketchy business practices and zero customer service. Their complaint process caused me to have to explain the same thing multiple times to different people and also repeat what i put in writing. Horrendous consumer experience. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Received an empty box, no Garmin 66st GPS inside. Called customer service, told a refund processing in 1 - 2 days. Investigations called to say it takes 1 - 2 weeks to investigate, and maybe someone sent the box without the 'display model'. I said I didn't order a display model.
$#*!ing $#*!s, I hope they go bankrupt, horrendous customer service, and they evidently have a major theft problem at their warehouse.

The worst customer service experience ever
January 8, 2022

Purchased a pair of new Keen boots online on Dec-28 for $200.
Received them on Jan-4, so shipping was not bad. But, its all downhill from here on.
The boots were previously used, yes, that's right see the photos.
Called customer service they told me to take them back to the nearest store which I did on Jan-5.
They refunded me and then the store placed an order for another pair via their online system that I paid for in store. They said the new boots would be shipping to me direct.
Two days later on Jan-7 I receive the boots and they are the exact same ones I received the first time! What the heck!
I call customer service again, I was on hold endlessly as the agent tried to figure out how to deal with this (not his fault, he tried his best). I was on the phone for over 2 hours in the end I asked to speaker to a supervisor and was forwarded to someone in their retail division and basically was told to take them back to the store.
What a run around, just unbelievable. Their business systems are very poorly organized, it appears staff are not adequately trained to deal with customer returns and with checking merchandise before it is shipped out. And how is it even possible they ship out the same pair of boots? Lack of communication, between managers and employees? I have no idea.
I purchase many items on line, by far this has been the very, very worst ever customer service experience I have ever had to deal with, just terrible.
I will never purchase anything online from them ever again.
In fact I am now reluctant even to visit any of their stores.
I gave one star because that's the lowest but perhaps also because I managed to squeeze a 10% off online only voucher from them which, I may never use but someone else may enjoy if they so choose.

Scarborough Store

Scarborough store. Insufficient cashiers. Approximately 20 people waiting in line and only 2 cashiers working. Store is dirty. A lot of merchandise on the floor. Insufficient stock. Not all sizes stocked and many opened boxes. At first I thought perhaps it was going out of business. Maybe it is. This is not a staff issue, this is a management problem.

Just garbage
August 24, 2021

Online order status is "Package Status: Shipped". After 2 weeks the UPS tracking status is "Label Created".
Sent an e-mail to customer service, they do not answer. I use to buy online from different vendors but none have this predatory behaviour. I'll never buy from this company again, online or in store.

I ordered a pair of golf shoes online and 2 days later received an email saying my package was delivered only it wasn't! I have a porch-cam and can prove that no one was there an hour before or after the time they said it was delivered. Also, they don't use a reputable delivery service so for all I know they didn't even bother to ship it out. Just a big scam - do NOT use their online services. I'm now out $120 and don't have any shoes for a tournament this weekend. I hate you sportchek.

Warning, it is not Amazon, China, or US online shopping you have to worry about. Being ripped off is happening right here at home. I thought I was being safe shopping Canadian, little did I know that Sportcheck would put me through 2 months of return hell and leave me out $73! Good thing I didn't order more items. The problem, the return address does not acknowledge Canada Post returns, no one answers the phone, and you end up being out the cost of the product, return postage, and 8 weeks of hassle. I will boycott Sport Check from this day forward! Shame on you! I only put one star to post this review. Sportcheck such a disappointment!

Absolutely disgusted how they dealt with this. They said better luck next time basically. Check back later after cancelling my order because someone bought the shoes in store when I had already ordered them and they didn't set enough aside. Very poor organization. Never has this happened at any other store.

Take some over a month to return your money even after you have return the stuff in due time there's stuff is substandard do not purchase from sport check their division of Canadian tire thieves! Never buy from sport chek! Their customer service agents are rude and demeaning! They don't want to help I guess that's what they are trained to do. 0 stars for sales 0 stars for service and 0 for product quality!

Spoke with a gentlemen today to help process an online order which wasn't accepting a Visa gift card. He suggested that I go to another retailer to purchase these running shoes. If it doesn't work on the website, there isn't anything he can do. Can't order over the phone, can't call the store... just go to a competitor... so I am.

I am hard of hearing and have problems seeing things. I did ordered a hat and a shirt but which I did not see where got shipped and thinking this is Collingwood. I live in wasaga beach and the sport chek was at Collingwood. But the order went to Orleans, Ontario. I called the customer service and I got someone does not speak English, had a hard time understanding what the person saying. When I ordered then I changed my mind, i tried to cancel the order and it says cannot access to the web site. It sounds like they did this on purpose. When I talk to them on the Phone, it sound like they don't want to do it. Will I ever order any thing. Hell, no! I did not know they were that bad..
