Convient

Snap fitness is a basic gym with 24 hr access.

If one considers the basic amenities offered it is a bit pricey.
What you are paying for is the convenience, I live in a small town and it is the only gym, unless drive 30 mins to use Planet-fitness, Golds, Fit Club etc.
I can also use any Snap Fitness around the country with my access card at anytime.
I have visited several and they were all clean, only one that was in disarray was in the process of being cleaned by the staff. (The mess due to less than stellar clientele that left water bottles, weights etc littered about)
The gyms are only staffed at certain times of the day.
It does not have a contract, just monthly subscription,
I have heard from a few others you need to stay on them to make sure they stop billing you once you cancel.
Some I spoke with had no problem cancelling.
(I have noticed similar billing issues with other places I have done business, it often depends on who you deal with on their end)

Worse Gym & Business Ever

Truly negative experience and on top of that, I received no support from their corporate office at all. I was charged for membership even without ever receiving that membership. The gym refused to refund and make my situation right. I had to implement a refund and membership cancellation on my own. I would highly recommend doing your homework on different facilities and avoiding Snap Fitness no matter where located. The corporate structure makes it possible for the individually owned facilities to treat customers any way they wish.

Impossible to leave
March 21, 2022

Would be a good gym but sadly their customer service when you cancel massively let's them down. I've been threatened with debt collectors for £36 on a membership I cancelled over a month and half ago. Easy to become a member but impossible to cancel. Would not go back and would recommend avoiding if you don't want to be constantly chased

Guys, come back. Shannon has changed SNAP fitness. It's clean, the equipment works, staff are friendly, helpful and gorgeous, inside and out! They make time to get to know you, your goals and mostly make you feel welcome. It's not the old way anymore and worth checking out again!

I've been a member for over a year, but not now. I called and complained about the unkept nature of the club. I was told that it would be looked into. I called 3 times. So, I gave up. When you can write your name on the machine, it is time to leave. I did.

I had several interactions with the gym supervisor and the owners. After several emails which I felt was not professional. Felt uncomfortable going back so $99 down the drain. Will never ever attempt this gym again in the Corning ny area

Yes. Collection is after me. I went to Snap for a promotion that included a private trainer and meal plans. All of that didn't happen. The trainer wanted to charge me and the meals were on a QR code that anyone that entered the gym could get. I'm so tired of getting scammed by people who promise things and don't deliver. Beware!

I has a very bad experience when I had to cancel me and my partner membership but when we went to talk to the manager she was very rude. Never will recommend to any one and now all my friends cancelled their membership after this.

Compare to other gyms, Snap fitness is little small. Then also i really liked the gym atmosphere. The gym equipments are good and i got a good trainer from here. So i happy to work out here and hope i can make a well fit body from this gym.

Taking advantage of vulnerable customers
I asked for my account to be frozen as I am unable to go to the Snap Fitness Chiswick gym during this pandemic as I am living with a vulnerable person and have been isolating at home. My account was only frozen for two months and now I am being charged even though I informed them I am still unable to return. Apparently no refund can be issued.

Forcing someone to return to an enclosed underground area with people breathing heavily and exposing an individual to an increased risk of contracting Coronavirus is against the government guidelines and should not be allowed.

I paid upfront for 6 months in January this year for a 6 months plan, and instead of freezing the membership during the Covid-19 lockdown so I could return now, they didn't and now my gym is permanently closed and I lost 4 months of membership. The owner (Osborne unit - Winnipeg - Canada) says he doesn't have money and he won't pay me back. As the plan ended, I lost over CDN200.00. There are still other locations but my membership expired and I can't do anything.
Just try to avoid this Snap Fitness.
All business and clients were affected by the pandemic. It's not fair that I'm losing so much money.

You are forcing people to sign up for 12 months without informing them and you want a lot of money to cancel. YOU ARE A SCAMMER. Even cards did not work at Waverley gardens first a few week, it is the worst gym i have ever seen!

Lies from start to finish! Promised so many things prior to enrolling at the gym & once you sign up, change everything! My son didn't end up getting an access card since he was just under 16 years & had to constantly wait outside as no one was there to open the door to access. Further, although I requested them to revoke my membership via phone & email, still kept charging my card & came out with more lies to justify their actions. I was paying a premium which was said to allow me to cancel anytime, but apparently not... so the guy who enrolled us, lied again! Bellbowrie Snap Fitness is the worst ever gym we have been to in our life! Rude & appalling level of service. Never to recommend to anyone! Total RIP OFF! Although we sent an email to member services, they just forwarded to the Bellbowrie gym & all they did was just keep spinning their lies to get more money! Australian Consumer Affairs' need to look into these gyms that over charge consumers & provide no service at all for the fees paid!

They are a scam
September 12, 2009

They are a scam. They continue to deduct $ out of people's accounts long after canceling. Then they say they automatically renew after 6 months, so they really do not have the cancellation policy they promise. It's written in small print. I joined, but then revoked, and never set foot in another gym after I signed, but they will not give me my money back, and now I'm noticing they are still deducting $ from cc.

CHARGED ME THREE TIMES THE AMOUNT OF THE MEMBERSHIP DUES AND WILL NOT RETURN CALLS, EMAILS, MESSAGES, ATTORNEY GENERAL COMPLAINTS, BBB COMPLAINTS, FTC COMPLAINTS, REVIEWS, FACEBOOK MESSAGES AND MORE. I CANT ACCESS THE GYM, GET A CARD, TALK TO ANYONE, ACTIVATE THE MEMBERSHIP OR EVEN CANCEL AND THE LOCATION IS STILL OPEN. PEOPLE WORKING OUT TELL ME THE OWNER REARLY COMES IN AND THEY HEARD THIS HAPPENS. HE NEVER CLEANS THE PLACE AND NO THROUGH COVID NEVER FILLS THE WIPES OR CLEANING SUPPLIES. SCAM!
