After having issues with delayed shipment of an item I ordered, SkyGeek took care of their customer in order to gain my business again. The time spent working with customer service and not having the product when I really needed it was an inconvenience, but in the end, customer service did their best to make things right, and I am very appreciative of that in today's world of automated e-commerce.
I did a price comparison over several different websites for the product I was purchasing and Skygeek.com had the best price out of 3 other suppliers. Website and check out were easy to navigate. I would definitely recommend this website to others.
Ordered and paid for a case of Aeroshell 15-50 Plus semi synthetic. Received less expensive case of Aeroshell 15-50 without additives instead. Disappointed but errors are expected from time to time. No worries.
Overall order experience was very good. As order was for 13 line items of small qtys of small ga wire, you may consider shipping small qty orders on smaller spools. Would help with overhead (spools & shipping containers) costs & improve customer's storage/handling logistics. Thanks again for the great service!
The processing time of the order was the only thing I have to question about Sky Geek.
Delivery was as promised and the product, pricing and documentation was very good.
It is my second order with Sky Geek and I will recommend them to anyone and I will purchase from them again.
Go Sky Geek!
Web site easy to use and informative. Set up to deal with international orders.
The only issue is that when using the default delivery option the package is transported by USPS. They pass the package on to the UK's Royal Mail for the in-country delivery. As part of collecting the excise duty (VAT Value Added Tax) they charge an additional £8 handling charge, payable before the package can be released. In some cases, using a recognised international delivery agent such as FedEx the package can be delivered direct (naturally duty still needs to be paid). USPS managed to get the package to the UK in reasonable time despite the appalling east-coast weather.
After I placed my order I was notified that the O-rings would not be available until Nov. 30th 2016. I almost cancelled the order but then a day or two later I was notified that they were being shipped! Long story short, I received my order the day before I needed the parts and I am a happy camper. Thanks
I noticed my had not been shipped several days after placing my order. I called customer service to inquire about this and the customer service agent told me neither item was shipping for another week because one was back ordered despite that not being conveyed before during or after checkout. She claimed she would have the ear seals that were in stock mailed separately. It became clear that she simply lied to me when I received a shipping email on the 13th for both items. They still weren't actually picked up by the carrier until the 15th and on the 17th were last seen in New York where they shipped from. So on the 17th my order I placed on the 6th because I need it for work is still days away. As a consumer I would consider your customer service and commitment to deliver products in a reasonable, timely manner a joke and frankly insulting.
I hope this isn't a drop ship. Avery Tool is out of stock... It turned out it was drop shipped from ATS. I wasn't able to find it in ATS's catalog but Skygeek is fine. I'm happy, it got here, and things are kool. It's an essential tool for Zenith aircraft kits. Should be included.
It took entirely toooooo long to register and complete all the information just to order one part. We prefer not to have to put a name on the shipping information because deliveries tend to get screwed up here when there is a person's name on the shipping label
I had to call Skygeek to make sure I was ordering the correct MIL spec product. The individual I spoke with was very helpful. They were able to provide me with pricing, lead time, how many units were in stock, and how long it would take to get more if they were to run out. I did not have to hold for a lengthy time or go through a horrific phone system. The reason I call full service organizations is to have them handle what they do best and leave me time to do what I do best. If I have to spend excessive time, I will look elsewhere. I am getting ready to place a third order with Skygeek.
Talked to someone on the phone a few minutes ago about my NYS ST-120 Resale Certificate that I submitted a couple of days ago. He said they have it and will process it probably by Tuesday. I asked about ordering now so that I can start my project. He said that I can place the order now. Put in the comment section that I have submitted the Resale Certificate. He was pretty sure that if the order was filled prior to the Resale Certificate being looked over, that they would credit the tax back later once the certificate was approved.
It all worked out well. I emailed in the resale certificate form late in the evening of Wednesday 9/16/15, placed the order on the afternoon of Friday 9/18. It was packaged and had a tracking number that day. My resale certificate was approved on Saturday 9/19. I received my order on Thursday 9/24/2015. And, I see that the tax has been credited back to my credit card on Monday 9/21.
My folks absolutely love how well RejeX keeps the bugs and road grime off of their 5th wheel RV. What they didn't love was the price they had to pay at the RV stores. Living in super-rural America, they have no access to the internet. So, I found a good deal at SkyGeeks.com for them and had it shipped to their house. My mom just called and said that my dad was so excited that it arrived, he was outside cleaning and applying the RejeX to the RV in preparation for their next trip.
Skygeek's site popped up when I almost completed my Amazon order. I saved $35.18 by shopping with Skygeek! Thank you! But, then my order partially shipped. I did not know part of my order was on back order!
The gasket wasn't correct for my application, but that could have been my fault. At order time it asked me if I also needed a gasket, and I selected the recommended product which turned out not to have been right for my application.
I ordered and got three tubes of grease of the Lubriplate brand. The print on the tube seemed to be for another country but as long as the grease is good I don't really care what the label says. A better price is more important than some print on a tube. There is English on the back.
The clock we purchased was exactly what we were looking for. It was well packed for shipping and came quickly which is important as it needed to go to Alaska. Would definitely go to skygeek.com for a similar purchase in the future.
I've used Sky Geek for several years and happy with your performance. What amazes me is I used to use Temco here in California until they banned sale of Zinc Chromate and Temco quit selling here. So, found Sky Geek and they supply a better Chromate than Temco at a cheaper price. Well, the wrinkle to this is this: The Zinc Chromate that Sky Geek me now is made, ready for this? Fresno, California! Only in America!
Cheers to all at Sky Geek and every one have a very Merry Christmas!
Russ
It'd be nice if I could tell when my product would/will be delivered. I couldn't see any delivery date options so I just went with "free".
What happened to the 5% discount? I checked out within 9 minutes of the notice that said if I check out within 9 mins I would get a 5% discount.
Though we are extremely satisfied with the experience, we would like bring out one issue which needs to be addressed. If the number of lines are more, we are unable to get quotes for these lines and we have to individually select items to get the quote which is time consuming. We would like to have a provision in the website or a mail id to upload larger number of lines at a time.
