Highly recommend reading reviews before engaging Siebert's services. A one-star rating is being gracious. Briefly: Paid $9300 for a home in terrible condition. When our 26 cf fridge failed the first day, no attempt was maybe to repair or replace. They brought a college dorm fridge with a bread-box-sized freezer. Told we would be compensated. GM said the house is "one of their nicest on the canal." Spiders are a real problem at the home. Clean it one day and they're back the next. More to say, but we'd be repeating others complaints. Check out the photos.

This place was disgusting, me and my family were expecting a fun place to spend the holidays together, not a place to get everyone sick. There was mold everywhere, stains in the sheets, dust everywhere, and the massive amounts of trash everywhere. It was so bad that we had to leave a day early from check out. My 9 month old niece got terribly sick from the place and right now all me and my family can do is pray for her to get better as the rest of us are sick to. Don't bother coming to this pig stye, it's not worth it.

Extremely disappointed with this company. The house was falsely advertised and very different from the pictures. When we arrived the home was very dirty, mold in the showers, a 12 x 12 hole in the ceiling exposing wiring (they stated it was a broken pipe a week earlier but why was it not covered?) a large hole in the deck flooring that my nephew stepped in, furniture damaged, carpet ripped and coming up, the interior pool room had 3-4 inches of dirt and debris in the window sills that they wouldn't close, the deck railing was rotted and not attached. The list goes on and on. When I called Siebert upon check in about multiple issues, I was told we should be grateful because many homes around us were paying more than us. The representative said I should have "zoomed in" on advertisement pictures to see the quality of the home. They did sent someone to fix the deck hole after 3 days but only because I stated someone had fallen and they were going to have a lawsuit. We will never use this rental company again! Stay away.

Terrible customer! We rented Tuna Trap this year, and this was the first year going to Sandbridge, and it will be our last. Siebert realty's customer service was so rude. I called about cockroaches being in the kitchen and she pretty much called me a liar that I didn't call because they hadn't answered the calls I had made before for loss of Internet and our air conditioning not turning on. It took 2 days for the internet to be fixed and we received a can of bug spray for the cockroaches. Never did come for air conditioner pretty much told us it was hot out expect the house to be hot too. Rude customer service, if I could give them a zero I would. Lesson learned!

We rented Gift of the Sea this past week August 21 and arrived to find nothing but filth and the stench was unreal. We spoke with Siebert 2 times before demanding a full refund. Their staff was very unprofessional and was very rude. The house had mold coming from the vents and black mold on the deck among many other things. The grass hadn't been mowed. An empty bottle was left from previous tenant. There was a pubic hair on the back of the toilet. They offered to send someone out to clean again and mow the lawn. That would not have taken care of the mold problem. My fiancé is a certified home inspector and deemed it unhealthy to stay in. We had to find a place to stay that night with my 15 month old grandbaby and 2 dogs and asked to be reimbursed for the inconvenience. Their response was "I'll give you a $250 credit for future stays. No way would I stay in one of their properties after this and I will inform my family which has rented multiple times in the past. Never seen such unprofessionalism.

If we could give zero stars, we would. Steer clear of Siebert Realty unless you want an old, run down house with negligent owners. We rented the "Surf Shack" and it truly was a shack. The pictures on the siebert website were a complete misrepresentation of the actual rental property. Upon arrival, the house was filthy and the furniture was all broken and appeared to be garbage picked. The main fridge was broken, with no replacement and just a note taped to it saying "sorry for the inconvenience." We had to call and ask for a replacement, which siebert did quickly supply. However it was a small mini fridge for 15 people. They sent a furniture repair contractor who laughed at evaluation of the furniture and recommended it be replaced immediately (this was refused by the slim lord owners). There are piles of broken furniture all around the property. The house is also infested with ants and there are not enough cups/plates/silverware for the advertised guest count. The managers keep saying they never get complaints, which is hard to believe. We spoke with the neighbors and they informed us multiple people have complained. We have renamed this the wish.com house. Pictures included of what was advertised and what we got. Oh Sieberts GM also claims you cannot base your rental on the photos…well then what are we supposed to base it on?! After driving around the beach, we noticed a pattern of the nice, updated homes being rented by the other companies and all the run down ones with Siebert signs. Do yourself a favor and rent from the competition! We have been Siebert renters since 1983 and we will NEVER rent with them again.

Spent weeks finding a rental, gave a full months rent deposit and their "fees" asked for the lease as it was 3 month rental and they said upon arrival (2 months away) at which point there is no refund? I became seriously worried as I started looking at all their horrible reviews and awful service and refusals to refund leaving families and people ripped off with no recourse. I asked for updated pictures as some people stated they arrived to filth and broken furniture, they said no. They then stated I am responsible for the yard?! It never stated that anywhere for a winter vacation rental? I do not trust these people especially after seeing how they responded to complaints on BBB. Go look yourself! How disappointing. I paid one business day ago for a rental in another 8 wks I am canx today I better get my money back or Im suing.

Tip for consumers:
Do not use these people

We recently rented through Siebert Realty "Margaritaville" in Sandbridge. It was very disappointing to be there. Upon our arrival we noticed the rugs were totally stained along with stains on the furniture. Curtains were also stained with what appeared to be a red substance. We wouldn't even sit on the furniture it was so dirty. There was dust everywhere. The house is in disrepair and in need of some maintenance. There is chipping paint inside which could be dangerous to small children. The outside grill was so dirty and wouldn't ignite. Picnic table had a loose unsecured bench. Dusty everywhere. Washing machine had missing pieces and had rust. Pool and location were fine but Siebert Realty pictures are deceiving. Will post just a few of my pictures. Won't go back there for sure.

For the money this house cost per week we were expecting something clean and functional. Our youngest grand has severe allergies and asthma. You shouldn't have to spend more time calling service, emailing concerns and walking the house with maintenance. The AC downstairs is non functioning, the dishwashers don't work properly, the fridge had to have the compressor cleaned while we were here as it wouldn't stay cold. The service guy said it looked like someone had pushed a gray rug up against it. He thought it hadn't been cleaned in a year. When he showed it to me it was disgusting. We had to have a portable AC unit brought in for upstairs. We purchased a fan for the kids bunk bedroom upstairs. The maintenance guy on day 3 told us they would have given us one for our stay. The maintenance guy on day 1 failed to mention that. The location of the house is awesome with littles but it definitely hasn't had any care recently and needs major cleaning and updates. I am posting a few photos. There are lots more that will be given to the rental company.

Doors and windows that were filthy and didn't work with broken screens. One screen door was on the porch floor with a chair on it. The kitchen drawers were filthy and we had to wash everything-especially the dividers for the silverware. Siebert did very little to address our concerns and apparently very little money is being spent on cleaning or up keep. The owners apparently refused to reimburse us anything but siebert offered to wave a FUTURE cleaning cost. Stay away from Siebert and especially the Atlantis!

We rented from Siebert because our original vacation was cancelled to the Caribbean. Upon arriving we were greeted by dirty and not well maintained house. We rented 2875 Sandfiddler The Dolphin View and we were disgusted. They claimed they needed extra time because of Covid 19 but looks like the place was never cleaned. Piss in the toilet in our bathroom, chewed gum in the trash, food under furniture you can see, furniture was disgusting mold in the kitchen, door knob broken on the entry into the house. Main fridge in kitchen had layers of dust up top and inside was dirty with leftover condiments. Doors to pool were stuck and rotting, Everything was covered in dust, dirty worn carpets, dusty glasses in the bar. All they would do for us is refund the cleaning fee, yeah thanks. Mind you they sent a crew later to clean what SHOULD have been cleaned upon arrival.
Would NEVER EVER rent from Siebert again, completely unacceptable condition. Please see pics. Grills outside were gross, pool was not cleaned as they come and clean mid week. Our bedroom door did not even lock heck c'mon in were changing but no big deal our door does not lock. We had to go through cleaning door handles surfaces all dishes and utensils were gross, the garbage compactor was clogged with food. Kat did not want to be contacted via phone but email but we ended up speaking to her anyway, yeah the owner comes there often, RIGHT! Same standard BS Lies about owner and condition of house, well guess what all lies. There was fecal matter on the toilet seat downstairs in my daughters bathroom. The house needs an update for almost $8K for the week completely unacceptable. Chairs in kitchen were stained and disgusting cracked walls, dust on HVAC Vents. I felt bad having our friends come down with us and their kids to a disgusting house. We had hyped this up since we had a great experience with another Real Estate Company, Beach Pros. There was dried blood on the wall of our bedroom, broken slats in blinds in the bathroom, ceiling fan in first floor made a loud noise. Oh yeah and house shakes when walking along the outside deck

We rented the Seaside Serenity last week in the Sanctuary. Lets start off with the water issue late in the evening I walk in to the bedroom there was so much water on the floor it squish as you walked on it.you could tell it had happen before cause of stains on the rug from the bed posts. I called on it left a message the next day they sent a very nice man to look into it, his fix was to put some towel on the floor and run a fan on it. Call the office again and asked if they were going to send in a Pro carpet cleaner in to suck up the water and disinfect it from the mold. Never heard back So we shut the door and did not use that room. On to the next issues no platter in the Microwave could not cook in it. Now this took me by surprises, the place had towels, dishes, cup, glasses silverware and was very clean but that was it no household items one disc for the dishwasher.,a little bottle of dish soap that was it. I have rented condo for year never a place with no salt pepper shakers a half bottle of laungry soap, can opener, cork screw, and no spray cleaners. I would think if this is their standard way they leave their property at lease give me a heads up about it,so you can prepare for it. DO NOT RENT THIS PLACE UNTIL THEY GUARANTEE YOU, THAT THE WATER ISSUE IS RESOLVED COMPLETELY. Hoped this helps the next renter.

We rented Doc Holiday. Prior to our arrival they did not clean like they said they would. There was dog hair everywhere mouse feces and ants on everything. There were thick cobwebs in windows where they are suppose to be getting knocked down. The couch was broken when we arrived, the whole leg was broke. There was sand throughout the house like they didn't even sweep. There was a frog skeleton in the game room which has obviously been there for awhile. There was a nail sticking out of the wall which cut my daughter. One of the decks were completely unusable because of overgrowth. While we were there people came to mow and blocked all of our cars in so we couldn't even get out and when they were confronted they were incredibly rude about it. For what we paid to stay there more should have been done, they should've had that place clean for one!

We chose the Sandbridge area because we all either work for a school district or are essential employees from New York State, we were unsure how our travel restrictions were going to be especially for our schools. We also wanted to be safe a rent a home that would entertain the kids and we would not have to go out and about and just stay in and enjoy the heated indoor pool and fish off the dock. Unfortunately when we arrived the home had a foul smell and was not the cleanest. We opened all the windows and went out to buy cleaning materials. We did not call and complain, we just cleaned. We eventually found the smell in the garbage can in the kitchen after removing the bag there was old fish boil remnants in the bottom. Moving on we got ready for bed that night and realized the WiFi was not working nor the whole living room and 2nd floor master bedroom. We called that Sunday morning and left a message. Monday they came and said it was a tripped breaker. The pool was cold the whole time we were there and was not filtering we called again nobody returned our message. Called again spoke to a great representative who told me how the owner was aware of the error code on the heater and had scheduled someone to come and fix it the following week. She said the heater was still under warranty so he had to scheduled with the company! A woman from a pool company came out and said that the pool was losing prime because she believed there was a small leak somewhere in the pool and maybe we could keep putting water in with a hose. The woman on the phone understand our frustration as to why we booked this home and that since the heated all year round pool was an advertised amenity we would be entitled to compensation. She gave us the emails to the people we should email which we did. We received an email back that says the owner didn't feel we were entitled to any refund but they would give us $200 on our next rental! No Thank you! Never again! I would not recommend anybody to rent a vacation home from this company.

Booked a vacation stay for October and tried to cancel In advance being that the COVID19 and Delta Variant numbers are going up being that I have lost several family members during this pandemic and did not want to be stressed should any family member Including the toddlers that are going and the elders that are supposed to participate In this trip to become sick I called to cancel and reschedule at another time and was told pretty much that It did not matter about the lives of my family either way we go or we loose every dime. PEOPLE FIND ANOTHER COMPANY TO RENT FROM VACATION RENTALS FROM. THIS ONE DON'T CARE about you just your money! #Disgustedfeeling #Airbnbisbest

Tip for consumers:
Please think twice. Your health Is more important this company will not compensate you at all and will find every loop hole In the contract dispite you trying to cancel In advance. Your health Isn't a priority with this realtor only your money. If you want to be forced to go then book with them If I don't go even In the middle of this pandemic I loose almost $10,000 dollars.

Just rented Coral Sands property through Siebert for a long-awaited-for family reunion. Rented a very nice property from Siebert the last two summers and assumed this would be no different. WRONG! This property, Coral Sands, was filthy, unsafe, and lacked adequate air conditioning and water pressure for multiple showering. With 17 people, we could only shower one person at a time until this issue was fixed mid-week. Mice kept me awake at night chewing in the master bedroom walls. A broken coffee table (which appeared not to be broken) crashed onto a family member's foot. Deck safety rails fell off in your hands leaving exposed nails. When we arrived, used sheets were on the beds, mold was in most showers, and spider-filled cobwebs were throughout, etc. I must say, the realty company responded very quickly to our complaints; however, the Sales Manager refused to compensate us for the poor quality of this property and the inconvenience and so many service calls and physical harm caused to my family. I initially asked for a full refund which was denied and then requested only two nights refunded, which was also denied. The city of Virginia Beach should not allow this property to be rented until it is brought up to standard. Stay far away from Coral Sands in Sandbridge as the owners are not properly maintaining this property and ripping off the unassuming families who simply want a clean, safe and fully working home for the high prices being paid.

Recently my family and I stayed at foolish pleasures through Seibert realty. When we arrived, the property did not seem cared for, outdated bathrooms, a grill that is even able to be used, bed quilts/comforters that appeared dirty and stained. We found old socks under a bed and food under couch from previous leasers. The sliding door leading out to patio was very old and really hard to use to get to the deck. Also, we had 3 small kids with us and there were electrical outlet plates that were not secured to the floor. Also, not to mention, the largest disappointment of the week with my vehicle being stolen with 3 others parked around it. The "president" of the company did not seem to have empathy and was argumentative stating that "I left the keys in my car or, are you sure it wasn't towed?" While it was parked on their unkept property. Maybe if they improved their landscaping and also did things to improve safety of their property and the property of those staying there, they might get a better rating and returns. I would not recommend seibert and will not be returning to their property. The company doesn't seem to care much about their guests. We specifically found it odd that they didn't even post any information to ensure that they are informing people about their policies to assist with the covid pandemic! Look on their website, it is non-existent. I would look at other realty companies prior to renting from them! To Kat Donald, The police reported that there is an uptick in cases of burglary in sandbridge since last year. Also my vehicle was parked in on your property with 3 other vehicles parking it in. It doesn't matter if it was locked or unlocked. Learn to be more professional and have better customer service. Again, I will reiterate that I hope this does not happen to you as it did to me. We get one vacation per year and this was disappointing to say the least. I will continue to spread this information around. Also be sure to start cleaning your homes better... for what you are expecting people to pay.

This house was terrible. It was dirty the first day we got there. There was already sand in our clean sheets. The floors were covered in sand. Pillows had bloodstains. Splattered bugs were on the walls. Fans didn't work in the bathrooms. The dishwasher didn't work until Friday. Had to wash dishes for 26 people all week. There were no lounge chairs like the pictures show. The refrigerators weren't the same as the pictures. The couches & loveseats were dirty & stained. The pool was all cloudy on Thursday & we called & they said someone would be up. Didn't show up til Friday & by that time it was green & had algae all thru it. Couldn't even use it on our last day there. We had to go buy a mixer because there were no beaters to the one they had there. Barely any bowls for cooking & serving. Over all terrible experience. I wouldn't recommend this house to anyone. Siebert should've givens us a nice refund. They didn't.

Tip for consumers:
Don’t book this house!

This is the email (with minor edits) that I sent to Siebert Realty about our stay at Double Dolphin:

My family and I have been coming to Sandbridge for the last few years, and we have always chosen Siebert Realty for our beach home stays. We had one negative experience with housekeeping when we stayed at Casa Cielo a few years ago, but that was corrected by the time we stayed there the following year. I'm guessing that is because I notified the owner of our experience. She told me she was meeting with Siebert soon after I contacted her. This year's experience at Double Dolphin has been terrible in comparison to Casa Cielo, and I do not have the owners' contact information, so I cannot let them know. Therefore, I am writing to you and hoping you can rectify things for me.

This year I decided to splurge and spend more on a house. Originally, we were supposed to stay at Thalassa, but the owner backed out and Double Dolphin was offered as an alternative. I was disappointed, but accepted the change.

Apparently paying several thousand dollars more for a beach home was not a factor in the quality of housekeeping or maintenance. The following were the issues we found with Double Dolphin. Some of these were reported on Sunday, and others were found later and reported on Weds to Amberly).:

-screen on screened in porch was torn (maintenance took pictures, but did not repair)
-broken door handle on screen door on porch (maintenance took pictures, but did not repair)
-discovered today (Weds)- rigged door hook on screened in porch door (not reported)
-pool liner on the bottom of the pool appears to be torn or creased (not addressed by anyone)
-downstairs comforter and sham and towel had stains-blood? Fecal? (showed housekeeping)
-washing machine had strong smell of mold, and the gasket had a lot of mold on it (Siebert maintenance cleaned it, and repairman ran it through a cleaning cycle)
-the dishes in the kitchen cabinets were dirty, (we had to wash everything prior to using them)
-cooking spills on the kitchen cabinets (we cleaned them)
-deck cushions were moldy (maintenance took pictures and left them there)
-pool cabana looked like it had not been cleaned in a very long time (housekeeping cleaned it Weds)
-pool furniture was rusted through and looks like it would break if someone sat on it.(maintenance took pictures, and housekeeping moved one of the more rusted chairs away from the pool)
-pool area had cheap toys on the side of the pool so it appeared the area had not been cleaned (showed housekeeping, and they removed them and organized the furniture)
-white fabric living room furniture has visible stains and dirt (showed housekeeping knowing they could not do anything)
-the master bath floor vent is filthy (showed housekeeping, but asked them not to come in to clean since it was Weds and they would make family feel uncomfortable)
-kitchen towels were not left for us to use (we used bath towels/wash cloths/paper towels)
-furniture and lamps throughout the house were very dusty (showed housekeeping, but asked them not to come in to clean since it was Weds and made family uncomfortable)
-the narrow stairway leading from the first to second floor is unsafe due to the chairlift (owner should be informed)
-thick layer of sand covered the area from the pool to the outdoor shower (we swept and washed most of it away, told housekeeping)
-outside door mats were covered in sand (told housekeeping/we cleaned most of them)
-a bag of marijuana was found on the floor of the screened in porch (gave to housekeeping)

The last straw was when my daughter found the bag of marijuana on the screened in porch Tuesday. I have adolescents staying with me, and I do not like the idea that one of them could have found these illegal drugs. It was a very worrisome experience. My daughter said that it was obviously "very old weed that has been there for months."

When I first called Siebert to report the issues we found the day after we arrived, I was told someone would be out to take care of everything. A maintenance woman in a Siebert truck came out the next day and took pictures of the ripped screen and rusted-through pool furniture. She did not know about the issues with the washing machine mold, but she tried to clean it as best as she could. Later, an appliance repairman came to work on the washing machine. He said that it needed to go through the cleaning cycle as instructed in the owner's manual. Isn't that something housekeeping should do on a regular basis? It was obvious that it had not been taken care of in a very long time. Housekeeping did not come to rectify any of their issues until my second call on Weds.

When I talked to Amberly on Wednesday about the marijuana and the fact that housekeeping never came after my Sunday report, she seemed to blame me for not reporting the issues in a timely manner. I informed her that I DID report the majority of the issues the day after we arrived. There were additional issues found after that call (dust and sand). Then the marijuana was discovered Tuesday after offices were closed, so I called about that on Weds. When I asked Amberly for some type of compensation for our negative experience, I was only repeatedly told that a cleaning crew could be sent to make things right. This was on Wednesday and we were leaving Saturday morning. The cleaning should have been done correctly prior to our arrival. Isn't the whole point of the 4:00 pm check-in time and 10:00 am check-out time to give housekeeping time to take care of the cleaning? It appears that the only cleaning that was done was vacuuming, new trash bags, bathroom cleaning and bed linen changes, although not all beds had clean linens.

Today (Weds) the cleaning crew arrived shortly after I spoke with Amberly, and I showed them everything. They started working on the cabana, and I left them to let my family know they were planning to come in the house to clean. My family felt uncomfortable about them cleaning while we were all here, so I asked the cleaning crew to leave after they cleaned the cabana. They did a nice job on the cabana, and they neatly arranged the pool furniture so that it was not as haphazardly arranged as it was when we got here. The one chair that was almost completely rusted through was moved away from the pool area and placed against the fence. The other rusted furniture is still there, but it is not as dangerous as the one they moved away. They also got rid of the little dollar store pool toys that were left by the pool. All of the work that they did in a short amount of time should have been completed before we arrived along with the other items listed.

Sending housekeeping midway through our stay is not an appropriate solution to all of the issues we encountered considering I spent close to $10,000 on Double Dolphin. It is not unreasonable for me to request compensation for at least the housekeeping fees, since many of the issues we found were due to a lack of professionalism in that department.

I am extremely disappointed in the way this has all been handled, and it has left a very bad taste in my mouth about your realty agency. I am not planning to ever use Siebert Realty again, and I plan to let anyone and everyone know that they should stay away from Siebert Realty.

Here is the response I got from Siebert management:

I am so sorry that you have not had the experience you had hoped for. The owners come to their house often so I am sure they are aware of its condition. I will also forward them this email.

I am saddened to hear you wont be using Siebert Realty again but hope you can still come to Sandbridge and enjoy all it has to offer.

We rented the Surf Shack Sept 21-28th. Upon arrival we noticed a fence down so we called maintenance. They came pretty quickly to fix it. Other than that we pretty much dropped our stuff off and hit the grocery store. We didn't get back until late which is why we didn't notice how bad the house was until then. There was black mold on the ceiling of all 3 showers upstairs. The cupboards were filthy and crummy and there were ants crawling everywhere. The ant traps they had all over just weren't doing the trick. Stuff was strewn about in the cupboards like someone quick emptied a dishwasher and threw everything all in one place. We took about an hr to organize everything just to see what was there and what we needed. The fridge had broken drawers and rust on the inside and the freezers had ice cube trays that were covered in frost and looked like they hadn't been emptied in months. There was thick dust on the doorways and vents under the beds. Many knobs were off the dresser drawers and the toilet paper roll holder in the master bedroom needed fixed so the toilet paper didn't keep sliding off. Another bedroom on the second floor had no curtain on the window which was a pain in the morning if you wanted to sleep in. Once everyone started to go to bed, we quickly realized there was sand in some of the beds (none of us had been in them yet). The dryer vent was clogged so bad my husband took about a half hr to clean it out and fish out all the junk just so we could be able to shut the door. Toward the end of the week when I was collecting some laundry from the room my daughter stayed in, I bent down to pick something up by her dresser and under her dresser was a potato. None of us brought or bought any potatoes that week. Clearly they need a cleaning crew. For the price we paid, I expected better. I didn't call because after reading other reviews/experiences I figured we'd get kicked out of our house while someone cleaned. We were all tired and it was late and besides, this should all have been done before we arrived. I'm stayed at plenty of other beach houses and this was by far the worst and the filthiest. I was very disappointed and I doubt I'll ever choose Siebert again.

During my stay the WiFi was out for 3 days resulting in lost work for 3 of my family members. When the cable repairman showed up, 3 days after I called Seibert Realty, he informed me that the outside cable line of 30 feet was outdated causing the outage. He repaired it and WiFi was back on. Also, a water leakage from the rain had entered one of the bedrooms prior my stay and was told it would be corrected by the time I arrived. It was fine until the 5th day of my stay when water started seeping up through the laminate floor. This resulted in moving my 5 grandchildren to sleep on the floor elsewhere.
You would think that the owners of this house would have offered some type of compensation after I spent almost $16,000.00 for the rental.
I have been to Sandbridge three times and will never rent from these owners again.

I got married at the four seasons and it was truly the best day of my life. I would not change a thing about our wedding day as this house is very special to me and my new hubby and the new Mrs. Laso! Our wedding day went off without a hitch because we hired primo events and their wonderful wedding vendors. We got the all inclusive sandbridge wedding & reception package 1 as it encompassed everything we really needed. Their prices are so reasonable to begin with, and the quality of service is well worth the money spent.
All you need is a lot of love and a little southern magic!
