Firstly, my soft cover 8 X 11 book was expensive! The shipping of a small soft covered book was $10. The total cost was much more than the 2024 calendar I made just a couple months ago, which I was quite happy with. Also, upon delivery the book was bent on front page in two places. It was rolled into my mailbox instead of being left flat or delivered to the door. There was no extra support inside the envelop to prevent damage to the product. It was just put inside the envelop in its plastic cover with nothing to keep the product flat. Some of the layouts which extended over to the next page were not identified as a problem and thus they dont look good in the soft cover format, almost cut and folded. I even called to ask questions about this. I liked the embellishment and backgrounds offered very much. Many of my recent photos were great, but using older photos from pictures taken from photos, some were not so clear. This was a lifetime photo album for a 90 year old so old photos were included. Even photos from 1970-1980's were not as good as the current photos. Current photos were great! Taken by digital camera on phone rather than a film camera. Overall, I like the photo book and give this a 3+/4 rating.

I ordered 2 of 1 book and 2 others; 4 in total. 1 printed poorly, 1 damaged. Asked them to reprint, they sent the wrong ones, asked again, sent wrong ones again. I have 6 copies of one book now. Took months for them to get the order right. Perhaps this could have gone better if they hired people who had a good command of the English language. I couldn't understand them, they obviously didn't understand me. Quality of photo books was average. Won't use them again. Photo shows 5/6 books…1 was a gift.

I just received a photo book and must say, that I am less impressed by the pictures. It is like the have a slight hazy. I took Professional 6 Color Printing, because I did that with a book in 2022 and those were so beautiful. I expected that from this one too. Not so much. The colors are not as bright and sharp as the one from last year. It shows time and time again, that Shutterfly is very inconsistent in quality. Such a pity, because love to use a website like this. But apparently nowadays is like so many other things: a gamble

So, I got a threatening email stating that my photo projects will be deleted if I don't order something.
So, on my iphone, I started looking at some projects. Later on my desktop, it said I cannot seamlessly transition between the app and desktop to work on a project. Why? This wasted some of my time and was inconvenient and annoying.
When it was time to order, it was much more money than expected until I used 3 coupons and then still expensive. For instance a small magnet pic for the fridge is still $4 and a photo ornament is $20. If I hadn't used the "free shipping on orders over $" coupon the shipping would have cost $70 for a box of photos only 12 by 12 inches.
The pictures took 3 weeks to arrive, which seemed long, but we did have some weather issues locally.
Finally, when I got the ornaments, photo magnets and pictures, I was not completely impressed with the quality. The large print was good enough, the magnets were not the quality I would like but passable quality as it just hangs on a fridge, and the metal and ceramic ornaments had horrible image quality for $20 an ornament. I was not impressed.
One of the magnets had a couple of mistakes in printing where it was not usable.
I used the mobile chat to remedy the problem and it took 41 minutes of non-stop questions, asking for a photo, etc for them to tell me they would credit $4 to my account. The person I chatted with said, despite me telling them the order number and sending a picture of the damaged magnet image, they could not reprint and send the magnet they originally made a mistake on. I was pretty unimpressed they couldn't get me the magnet and only could credit me with the sale amount of the magnet, making me unable to order it myself, even if I wanted to as without all the coupons the magnet would be $10 and the shipping $12. Like I said, the prices are obnoxious and not fair. So, I would need $22 to reorder the image they screwed up in my orginal order. When I told them this, they said they could send me a gift certificate to use on the mobile app to cover "part of the cost". As a customer, I do not plan on using Shutterfly anymore. I don't feel they have the best quality in general despite sky high pricing. Also, their shipping fees aren't fair. Finally, they did have responsive customer chat online, but the representative took a long time to resolve the issue and I am not leaving feeling they did the right thing. I no longer have the product I originally ordered. If I am being honest, I was a bit peeved they threatened to close down my projects as well. That seems threatening. They should be sending me promotions to get my projects finished and printed. I give them a star for getting the products to me and another because they had okay chat response time. I think one star for OK quality as well. 3 Stars. I would not recommend until they improve quality and pricing.

Not entirely thrilled with my book. I apparently ordered a silver metallic border on the cover and margins by accident. It's a dull greenish-gray. I mistakenly picked a book with "merriment" added to the book. There is none added. There was no discount either. I complained about this to Shutterfly and got a $10 refund. I have done several books over the years but all look better than this one.

Shutterfly is amazing, though they could improve their mobile website to be more user friendly, their editing process needs work as it's pretty glitchy. Their prices are very reasonable for their product.
Their only issue is their shipping is INSANE, they are a large enough successful company to lower or do away with their shipping costs all together. At the very least lower the minimum price for free shipping.
The shipping prices is where they get you, they overcharge big time for shipping.

Tip for consumers:
Shipping is wildly expensive. While it's ALMOST worth it, you could probably find a different website that charges less for shipping. I hope they change their tune soon.

I ordered 55 4x4 prints and was disappointed to find that 29 of them were cropped wrong or differently than I had arranged them in my order. Heads were cropped off, there were white spaces at the bottom, etc. Thankfully 4x4 prints were free besides shipping and tax so I will be reordering them but was heavily disappointed by this order and am hoping they will be correct the second time.

We've used Shutterfly several times in the past without issue. This time, I had several missing packages. After doing some leg work to contact them (they have their chat feature disabled online) they informed me they seemed to have lost them. They don't lose my full confidence because they refunded the price, but I sure which customer service was friendlier. The rep was monotone the entire conversation and didn't appear to enjoy his job at all. And at the end of the day, we are still without our orders and have to restart the waiting period after almost 2 weeks

Shutterfly was quick to ship my order but I wish there had been better quality control on my calendar project:
For text I submitted as "events", the bottom line of text was omitted in three occasions and the letters were missing on two words.
One photo was blurred whereas original I sent is quite clear.

Free prints but shipping comes up to more than 20 cents a print so its cheaper to go to shoppers or costco. If you live in canada promos on shipping and others don't work.

I love Shutterfly! They also have wonderful customer service. The prices are actually very reasonable. I actually love ordering stuff from you, but it's really frustrating that photos don't get printed in order and putting them in the right order take days

They Keeps lying on delivery of cards. Won't let me cancel unless after Christmas! So frustrated! No cards and feeling completely bummed they don't seem to care. Could order from somewhere else and get them but don't want my 200 wasted.

I tried changing my order delivery address before my package was shipped and I contacted the customer support team to help change it and they said they understood my request and wanted to help but ended up having a technical error causing them to not be able to change my delivery address and then I would receive an email stating the error on their side had been fixed so we could change the delivery address. Well a day went by and they still had not notified me that they had fixed the error but I did get the notification that my package shipped so perfect timing on their part, right? I just think it was too convenient that they had an error preventing them to change the delivery address on my package and never followed up on getting the error fixed so it was too late to change it. At the end of the day it was my fault for having the system auto populate my old address but it sucks trying to get a package that was delivered to the wrong address when it would have just been easier to change my delivery address before the package shipped in the first place. Definitely going to reconsider using Shutterfly in the future due to the fact that their customer support team will give you the run around until it's too late to fix the issue.

I've ordered hundreds of dollars worth of Shutterfly items, and, almost always, I'm very satisfied with the results. HOWEVER, when they promote items as "Free," they still charge a portion of the price. That's NOT free. This has happened on the last two of my orders. I'm fed up. It's impossible to reach them by phone (After robot voice says "hold on..." the phone disconnects every time.) Likewise, reaching them by Chat or email doesn't work as site shuts down after I hit "customer service" link. [order **************474 and **************450)] What's going on?

We have been using Shutterfly for our holiday cards several years in a row. I enjoyed the card making experience and the picture looked nice on the card. However, this year, I was surprised by the poor quality of the standard cardstock. I believe this is the same paper I ordered the previous year but the quality had just gone down significantly. It's just rough and flat. It looks cheap. Also, I had decided to splurge for a liner... only to find out that I had to stuff the liner inside my 50 envelopes myself! After paying over $100 for my 50 holiday cards. Seriously?

The Christmas photo cards I ordered came out very well. But beware about the envelopes--- they had my return address on them but almost all of them were smudged. Very few of the envelopes sealed, despite trying to seal them and then put a heavy weight on them. I ended up having to use scotch tape which looked horrible.
Plus they sell you a liner which they don't put in, you have to put it in and seal it-- and when I asked customer service what to do with them he said,"Put it on the side?" You can't reach customer service by email and customer service by telephone was very unhelpful.

I'm disappointed. I've been getting emails about Shutterfly's Christmas card promotions for several weeks. I saw that they had a low price guarantee where once you've ordered your cards if a better sale is offered a conversation with customer service will result in a credit for the difference. So I ordered my cards. They arrived yesterday. They look great and I'm happy and today I get an email where my cards are on sale and the difference for the cards with free shipping now would be $42.59. So I contacted customer service and they won't honor the deal because the card guarantee was not part of the promotion I used when I ordered. This feels underhanded and crooked and leaves me feeling taken advantage of. The customer service agent was polite and professional and offered me a $20 voucher for a future purchase. I'm not feeling like I want to be a repeat customer when you pick and choose your low price guarantee. I'm a mom of seven kids and I don't have time to read the fine print. Either offer the guarantee or don't but don't play games with your promotions.

I've ordered with them a few times, but this one time I was extremely disappointed. I orders a picture in a frame. The quality of the print was poor! It looked as if it was printed with a cheap machine on cheap paper. Wasn't worth the price at all. Very disappointed.

I think they have been pretty consistent the last 5- 6 years-- this year I ordered on 12/2- they sent out 12/7 and today is 12/20 and the cards are still not here. I spent 20 min with online person who said they will give me a credit for next year-- not showing on the account but maybe a card is coming? The tracking show UPS supposedly delivered to our local P.05 days ago but Postmaster looked and they are not there... So disappointed and not sure they will show up at all at this point. I will probably reverse the 105 dollar charge on my credit card and use Minted next year.

I liked the way I could edit an entire album at one time. For example saturate all photos in an album with one click. I do not see that option anymore. Instead it must be done one at a time... exhausting! Why did the site change? Also I miss the option to make a video set to music. That program had a few glitches but when it finally worked, I loved the final product. In the past I always promoted Shutterfly, but now I'm considering trying something new.

Shutterfly is mediocre at best. They are becoming more expensive and their shipping fees are out of this world. Its ridiculous they charge a covid fee now too. Everyone wants to get covid rich.

I ordered in time for my order to arrive before Christmas yet I haven't received my order im being told it's on its way I was also told I would receive it Friday December 18th didn't come and I don't have a new delivery date

I ordered several calendars from them. Each time you must decline extra charges for sleeves etc. Apparently I missed it for a few and was charged. Tried to contact them. Good luck. No email and when I completed the chat was informed they are not available- at at 2pm...

Every item I've ordered from Shutterfly has had shipping issues. In some cases I paid extra for faster shipping, in all cases my orders arrived late, if at all. While I enjoy the high quality products, the shipping process leaves a lot to be desired.

I ordered a double sided pillow with pictures of my dogs on either side. The picture of the dog I submitted that was taken straight on and level turned out great as a print on the pillow. The other picture I submitted was taken from looking down at my other dog. That print turned out to be awkward. That side only looks good from looking down at the pillow. My dogs head looks giant and rolled backwards at the top of the pillow. I (now) understand why this happened, but I wish the website gave better instructions about what photo angles would work best.
