Hello, I spent over 2 years completing two 11x14 70+ page photo books with hundreds of pictures that were to be presented on Christmas Eve to my Dad and fellow military veterans who saved and restored an old Navy airplane from being scrapped. The book chronicled the entire 3 year restoration project. My first set of books arrived Dec 8th but most of the text and pictures on the pages were cut off. They asked me to proof the books and ensure nothing was too close to the edge and to re-order by the 18th for guaranteed delivery by the 23rd. I spent 8 straight days going through the books; missed family time, social time, Christmas shopping, etc. to get them done by the deadline and the order was placed on the 17th. Shutterfly credited my account the full amount to re-order them and gave me expedited shipping with a guaranteed delivery date of Fri, Dec 23. The day before the guaranteed delivery date, the status still showed in production and the live chat agent assured me the books would ship that day and arrive the following day. Later that same day I called and they said it wouldnt arrive until the 28th due to production delays and I threw a holy fit and escalated the call two levels. Bonnie F. Did work to get the books delivered by Sat, Dec 24th, but they didn't arrive in time for me to make the presentation and the books were still wrong. Diligently, Ive been trying to reach Bonnie via her email and phone calls to customer service with no response. I hope to have this issue resolved soon, receive books that aren't cut off and receive a complete refund. All of my previous experiences have been positive with the exception of this one, which was the most important of them all. Highly disappointed.

Absolutely terrible!

I had the worst experience with my save the dates. Everything looked great when I order them. When I received them in the mail the resolution was terrible and tacky. The paper they use to print is super cheap. The worst experience I've ever had.

I ordered four copies of a calendar equipped with lovely photos from our family's beach vacation as Christmas presents. So Shutterfly sends me a 2017 calendar with all the dates occurring on the wrong days of the week. Pack it up, Shutterfly. Try a different line of business. My pet cat could do better.

Disconnect and Delete
December 30, 2016

Spent several hours uploading pictures. Then I get a message they disconnect me, but not to worry my project is saved. Saved? Yes, as in like zero pictures saved. Nothing. So save yourself the trouble.

I ordered a photo book and Christmas present that was supposed to arrive before Christmas and received it on the 29th of December. The worst part about it, is that they sent me shipping confirmation and tracking on the 16th and it literally just sat in the same location until the 27th. This is the second time something like this has happened to me from $#*!terfly. I will not be using them ever again. Note to buyers- if you'd like to test them out I'd suggest ordering a month in advance.

Christmas cards
December 29, 2016

The site is pretty easy to use, but reviewing the final product can be tricky. My Christmas cards came in with my family greeting so small it couldn't be read. Apparently no one reviews before sending them out. Customer service offered 20% off my next order, then 50 % off my next order, but my Christmas cards were ruined so how does that help? I won't be using Shutterfly again.

Waste of time
December 27, 2016

Hi everyone. So, I ordered photos from Shutterfly on Dec 14th, 2016 and the estimated delivery date was the 22nd, which I was pleased with, except I NEVER RECEIVED THEM. I contacted Shutterfly of course and was told my order was "lost in transit" and that I could get an additional order with no cost (um. You BETTER not be charging me!) A customer service agent reordered my order on the 24th, and it still hasn't even shipped yet and it's now the 27th. It was originally a Christmas gift, so now I figure I'll give it as a New Year's gift, but the estimated delivery date isn't until January 4th or 5th. This is RIDICULOUS.

Terrible Customer Service

I have created calendars with Shutterfly for years. This year they sent me a calendar with the wrong YEAR. It was THEIR mistake, as I checked my project thoroughly and saw the correct date on my account. They refused to ship new calendars for free until I made a big fuss, and asked for a supervisor. In the end, she told me I could get a "one time" free credit. I tried to explain that the fault was theirs and that if you return an item that is broken, you would get a refund, so the same should apply here. She did not understand my feedback at all and refused to acknowledge blame. Last time on Shutterfly for me.

I ordered a double sided pillow with pictures of my dogs on either side. The picture of the dog I submitted that was taken straight on and level turned out great as a print on the pillow. The other picture I submitted was taken from looking down at my other dog. That print turned out to be awkward. That side only looks good from looking down at the pillow. My dogs head looks giant and rolled backwards at the top of the pillow. I (now) understand why this happened, but I wish the website gave better instructions about what photo angles would work best.

So, I ordered a photo book for my parents for Christmas. I was guaranteed the 23rd as the arrival date based on the shipping I payed for. On the 23rd that morning I received an email stating that my package was going to delayed for another 3 days. The lady I talked to was very insensitive to my problem that I had and only refunded the shipping. I called again to speak to someone about how I felt and they explained that It was being overnighted and that I would receive it the 24th. ALL I CARED WAS TO HAVE IT FOR CHRISTMAS.
Little did I know I never received an email confirming a shipment, so I started a live chat. And the lady explained it still wasn't shipped. She refunded the total purchase and explained that it would still ship which made me feel a bit better. And now after checking the status THE ORDER WAS CANCELLED. Now I am here unable to reach out to anyone, with an item I spent hours putting together that might or might not come after Christmas... I feel like I have been passed around, and that My original shipping did not come in even though they guaranteed for Christmas... As A first time customer I am not impressed, and don't plan on coming back

Worst customer service
December 24, 2016

Thank you Shutterfly for my customized photo Christmas cards! Except you seem to have forgotten something: THE PICTURE! $65 later and night before Christmas Eve, I now have no Christmas cards for my family.

Mistakes happen, but the worst part: I called customer service and they offered a 50% off coupon for my next order to "fix" my issue. When I asked them to refund my money, they put me on hold for literally an hour and a half waiting for someone authorized to refund my money. They kept telling me I need to go online, print, complete, and submit a form requesting a refund along with the defective product they had sent me in order to receive a refund from them as if they were worried I would use these anyway. I've wasted enough time receiving nothing in return and you want me to jump through hoops to get my money back?!?! Worst customer service EVER. #fail #youhadonejob

I see it's a trend- ordered a calendar beginning of December - December 2nd. It stopped tracking my package on the 8th. By the 11th they had to re order and process it to ship to me. A week later package still hasnt arrived. They put a rush delivery which promised to arrive on the 23rd. Not there. Planned to use Shutterfly for many aspects of my wedding. Will not use again. So incredibly disappointed

"guaranteed delivery if ordered by." didn; t happen. Dealing with customer service was hellish. On the same day got two different responses ( after contacting twice before) with second person decent enough to re-ship the products which isn't much of a solution since the calendars will arrive after the guests go home. They offered free shipping ( by donkey cart?) on next order, but next order is not happening. Once they may have had the market on these items but there are other better choices these days.

Cards did not ship as promised and expected delivery is 11 days past the promised date now. Even though they are flagged as shipped, the expected delivery is 7-10 days for each individual greeting card? I suspect they are only saying they're shipped to avoid cancellation. Will never use again.

I purchased 2 photo books which I used the Everyday Happiness template with the Color Block Cover. I typically custom design my books, so I've never had experience with one of their cookie cutter books. Time was short and I needed the book for a memorial service. I received my books and the cover was printed wrong. You can't read the title at all because they printed two layers on top of one another even white on white. I chatted for more than 45 minutes and was told it was a production issue. I can get a partial refund and they'll contact me when the issue is corrected. NO time frame for the resolution other than 5-7 days maybe. No contact after 10 days. I called and spent more than 1 hour on the phone with a representative who promised the issue was fixed. She placed a new order with expedited shipping at no cost. Second order arrives... SAME issue. I called and was told I could hold for 65 minutes or leave my phone number for a call back. An agent called back and asked that I send a scan of the book. UH NO. The first email I sent went unanswered and I'm not spending any further time. It took 35 minutes, but I'm finally getting a full refund. NO photo book at the memorial and the family won't receive the books as planned. Thankfully, I'm talented enough to design a dust jacket and have it printed. The cover will be wrong; however, the dust jacket will cover it up. On a brighter note, I have 4 copies for free.

Rip off

Personalized candle came smudged with wax all over it. Not one part of the glass isn't smudged. The picture is just an off-center cheap sticker. Very disappointed.

I ordered a customized calendar on Dec. 10,2016 for my girlfriend. The website estimated the calendar would arrive no later than Dec. 22. On Dec 22nd, I did not receive the calendar. I called Shutterfly customer service, and was told that the calendar never shipped. I was given a full refund, but at that point, it wasn't about the money. It was about not having the Christmas gift that I was so excited to give my girlfriend. Needless to say, i will never deal with this company again.

I am surprised that I am the first to notice this... the website CLEARLY states the cards are 5 x 7, but they are not~I noticed right away after opening the package. They measure 4 3/4 x 6 3/4. I'm sorry, but when your site says a size it should be accurate. When I called customer service, they said the card is smaller than 5 x 7 because the envelopes re 5 x 7. But guess what? The envelopes are 7 1/4 x 5 1/4. I have ordered Xmas cards for 20+ years and have never encountered this. I will not be a repeat customer, as the cards were more epensive than others, and also took much longer than I anticipated, when you can get much faster service at other places for xmas cards. The picture quality is fine, but with 7 people in the picture, utilizing every 1/4" does make a difference.

Trust me... Do NOT order from this company. They don't even deserve 1 star! They lie, have customer service people who do not speak English clearly and are not trained properly! It has been a nightmare dealing with these people. I have spent 3 days calling repeatedly on my one order and each time on the phone waiting to speak to a representative for over a 1/2 hour. The last call was over an hour before anyone picked up! I placed my order on December 4 with a guaranteed delivery on December 14. I checked the tracking # and on December 9th my order was delivered to a PO Box in a completely different State in which I live. On Dec 11th the UPS tracking Information stated that the package was undeliverable and was sent back to the sender! I called Shutterfly immediately to inquire and the lady assured me that was a mistake and I would receive it by no later then the 16th. Well on the 18th still no package.So once again call and put on hold and after about 40 minutes the male representative with a horrible accent could not help me and once again put on hold. The next rep told me the order was sent back to their company and they had to reorder me new calendars and I was promised I would receive them by December 22. I just received an email stating that they were just mailed out on the day their guaranteed I would receive it. (Dec 22) These are Christmas gifts that I ordered way in advanced and this company just doesn't care. As I type this review I have been on hold with them for over an hour and still no one picks up. You all have been forewarned! What a horrible company!

If you scroll you will see my earlier review regarding service... this is my review on quality or lack there of. I odered a sheepa blanket with photos of our deceased dog for my grieving husband... not only did it come after Christmas
I paid for the sheepa blanket which was the most costly which I assumed would be of decent quality for the price. This is thinner than a hospital blanket. Image quality is only fair. Blanket is pathetically thin. Feeling cheated
