They will give you the highest quote and then scam you with some BS excuse. You can try to email them back requesting proof of damage and they will not get back to you. I've sold to other bookstores online and never had an issue. I will not be using them again. Scammers!

We sell used books to a number of buyback/resell online companies. Sellbackyour book is our favorite overall. In the last year or so, we have sold them over 400 orders. That many orders with thousands of books in total will obviously result in a few occasions where we were not fully pleased. However, overall we find this company accepts many titles, is liberal and generous in its condition grading, usually pays as much or more than most other companies and does so very quickly.
We especially like the option to have returned any and all rejected books at almost no cost although in truth very few books (probably no more than 1 or 2 % are rejected). The most consistent problem we have had is the same as a few other people mentioned-books disappearing from the cart. Even if they do not disappear, we cannot close them on the iphone where they were scanned. We can close them on another device, but frequently the cart does not show up at all on other devices. Customer service is not their strong suit, and we have been unable to resolve this issue. Sometimes they respond to messages, sometimes not. Ziffit, for example, has many more problems but has much better customer service in addressing them.
Still, in summary, we enthusiastically support this company.

Still usuable by all means but no longer my go to trade site. Why? There are other sites now that offer more $, accept more titles and have a better interface. Most importantly, my main drawback from sellbackyourbook is i am afraid to put things in their cart. Before the day is over I'm alerted that certain books in my cart are no longer available for trade in or the price has decreased. It happens so fast, I feel as though as soon as I scan something in my cart, they check it to make sure it is something they want. I do not fee secure placing orders with them. I don't leave anything in the cart because of that and process my trades right away before they can change the price. When I'm using my desk top to trade with sellbackourbook, the isbn search field forgets im there and i have to keep clicking back inside the box with my mouse. Annoying. This is just constructive criticism, they pay promptly and accurately.

I entered the ISBN number and received quotes from several companies buying books. I used two of them. This site offered the most money for one book that others offered significantly less. I therefore selected them and mailed off the books. The other site had the books processed and paid within a week. Sellbackyourbook took almost 3 weeks to get back to me and then said they couldn't pay for the one book because the number was wrong. However the other sites also had this exact same book listed so I am not thrilled with losing out the money but it wasn't worth getting it back and trying again.

I tried to register and the system said I didn't have a bank account linked to my paypal account. I did and I got the impression the system was a scam. They offered 24 for my book but then when I tried to confirm and seal the deal, they system said it could not because I did not have a verified bank account connected to my paypal account. It felt like they didn't really want to go through with the offer and it was just a scam for my email and paypal account info.

I bought my first book from this company and it was a good transaction. The price was reasonable, the book arrived in a timely manner and it is in good condition.

I send my medical books back with postage paid by the company, and I get a check for the books very quickly. The website is easy to navigate, and you know exactly what they will pay for the books you are sending back, so no surprises. I am very happy with their service!

After they told me that my books worth $45 and i agree and send them the books they send me an email saying my books are rough and lower my payment to be $13 and i am 100% sure my books are like new

Company is a ripoff that steals book and cheated me out of payment. They never paid me. They lied saying a book was in terrible condition. Book was in good condition sending it in. I wrote a email respond of how they cheated me out of item. They send a worthless robotic generic message. They have poor communication. I won't be sending no more books to that company. Worst company ever that is taking advantage of people. I was smart in never giving my other textbooks that was worth way more.
They charged shipping to people who wants their books backs. The company should ship back books free of charge that they weren't going to buyback. They offer very low buyback for books that worth more money. They couldn't even offer more for those but cents. They resell them for more money on other sites.

Send in three separate orders to sell to this company. To whom it may concern Glen Nothagel. You have some one on the inside of your company that as no intergerty. They are not doing what is right when no one is looking. I did not think much about it but my last order was of a few books and a Nintendo switch video game. The game is not a DVD so it would not be damaged. It was in the case with the instructions to the game they quoted me around 11 dollars for the game. I got an email saying the game was in bad condition and would be recycled I was upset because I know it was not. It was packed in perfect condition. I emailed the company and even called but nothing was resolved from the video game coming up missing this is theft all they have to do is say it's in bad condition then don't pay you for it and say itd being recycled. I forgive the employee for doing this and thank you for the check for 40 cents. Thank you for the money. I wanted to let you know that you would not keep letting this happen to the company you build your self. You have the intergerty to do what is right with in your company. I was new to this concept and was somewhat excitingly looking forward to selling my books. I painstakingly entered all of the ISBN numbers which took awhile due to the number of books. I finally finish and hit the sell button and I was shocked, absolutely shocked. 11 cents, 8 cents, 9 cents, 7cents, 11cents, 10cents, several of which I was told that they are not buying. You are scanning your trade in books all day. You fill up a box and arrange the books nicely. You still have room for a few more books so you scan a few more. And just like that, your cart is magically empty. Yes, they will indescriminately emply your cart at any moment. Don't think things are safe even for a few hours. So thinking it's a glitch (It's not) you unpack your entire box and rescan. Gee, suddenly many of the books that were in there are no longer being accepted and suddenly the price dropped on the others. I really feel like they look at what is in peoples carts and make adjustments. They have no consideration for peoples time and I am so disgusted with sellbackyourbook. What they do is shady. I switched to ziffit but sadly ziffit just started to do the same thing.

They eventually paid for the books I sent them but it took 13 days. I've used them before and they were quicker.
