I have been buying from Selectspecs for some years now and am amazed they can hold down their prices as they do.
I sent three items of prescription eyewear to SelectSpecs for reglazing to my new prescription. I provided my optician't prescription and SelectSpecs measured my pupillary distance from one of the pairs of spectacles I sent them.
SleectSpecs kept me updated about when to expect my eyewear back and it arrived promptly, with a great job done. Reglazing saved me a lot of money and I kept the frames which I like, so I didn't have to choose the latest fashion sold by my optician (which I don't like!)
I will soon be sending more spectacles for reglazing. Thank you, SelectSpecs!

Avoid – order was delayed, anti-glare coating is very poor quality and there is no substitute for trying on frames at an Opticians. Summary: I purchased my 1st ever pair of glasses from SelectSpecs and had a very simple reading glasses prescription, I really should have stuck with Boots Optician who were great, advised and helped me pick the right frames (Penguin). Being penny wise, I then choose the same pair form SelectSpecs – this was my 1st mistake. It took over a month for my glasses to arrive where Boots guaranteed delivery to store within 7 working days – select Specs gave the reason of Designer Frames taking longer despite their website suggesting 10 days. The Anti-Glare coating isn't good quality and after complaining, I was offered a discount for a second pair from Select Specs' 'Sliver' range. I selected and paid (£30) for a spare pair which i didn't really need despite being a very poor selection, only to be delayed again and then required to pay a further £55 as the cost of the simple prescription lenses had increased since the time (3 weeks & their delay) of my 'in process' order. This firm is really unprofessional, unreliable and untrustworthy. I still await a refund!
Really happy with the service I receive from select specs never had a problem with any of their products and a quick delivery service would highly recommend them.
Have used these people three times now twice for my father and once for me, great service great product and support were brilliant with my enquiry, would highly recommend them to anyone.
Ordered a pair of glasses with no fuss-easy prescription input. No hidden charges. The glasses arrived about 8 days later and where just as described. Have ordered another pair as I was so pleased

Horrendous customer service. I placed an order on the 29th July to be told 2 days later that the item was discontinued and asked to choose a substitute - which I did. 6 days later I received another email informing that the item I chose had been on sale and it was no longer on sale so 'sorry' choose something else. So 9 since I had placed my order and nothing had been done - seeing that I am flying out in a weeks time and I will need glasses to drive I am not just furious and upset, but massively inconvenienced and will incurr massive additional expenditure due to SelectSpecs incompetence. Their 'Customer Care' should be renamed to "Customer dont give a £$$% without care" - in the meantime they are still holding to my money. I told them that I would be raising a complaint to the Consumer Ombudsman and review them according to the service received - to which their response was "yes sure, go ahead".
From previous purchases, their glasses are cheap, horribly made and you will need at least 3 pairs to see the year out - they are cheap however, whenever they do decide to send them out and not cancel your order. So, cheap, just like their customer service and quality provided.
These glasses were so reasonable and the service was excellent they are defo the best glasses I've ever had and will certainly be buying from them again

I have found your order for the Penguin glasses placed on the 21st November, this was for a non-stocked designer frame and as advised on our website this can take up to 28 days to arrive. This frame arrived with us on the 6th December and your order was completed and dispatched on the 9th December. This was completed in line with our stated timescales for this type of order. With regards to delivery, it does appear that Yodel delayed delivery until the 18th. Apologies for this.
With regards to the anti-glare coating, unfortunately we do not see any complaints with regards to this. The complaint you made was regarding the order timescales. If you have a specific issue with the coating, please alert our customer services team. We do not believe the provided coatings are of poor quality as these are regularly checked for QA purposes.
With regards to the recent order, as advised by our customer services team, a prescription was not entered during the order so therefore the price quoted was only an estimate and is subject to change upon receipt of your prescription. Upon processing your prescription for this rimless frame, there was an additional charge due for the lenses. Please do note that the frames and lenses selected for this order were different to your previous order so the products cannot be compared.
With regards to the cancellation, this is being processed for you as per your request on the 25th January. You will receive the refund shortly.
