I have found that SeatGeek consistently gives me better options and prices than other sites, including team-owned sites. I will continue to use them for my game-day experiences!
SeatGeek is a joke. I purchased tickets for an event and then the event was cancelled. SeatGeek will not return any emails or refund my money. Buyer Beware.
I purchased tickets to a Mets / Braves spring training game to be held March 11th 2022. The game was ultimately canceled on February 28th and was not rescheduled. It has now been 4 weeks since cancellation, the Seat Geek Buyer Guarantee states "we will notify you that the eveent was canceled and provide you instructions on how to obtain the refund" as of this date I have received no notification from Seat Geek. I have e mailed them twice and the only responce I have received is a notation via e mail that I should receive an e mail shortly on the status of my refund. I'm not sure what Seat Geek definition of shortly is but 4 weeks would seem to be ample time to issue a refund. My request #is ******* in case anyone from Seat Geek actually reads these reviews. Customer service is poor at best
The service is easy and convenient, however I was met with a few different issues when trying to buy my tickets:
First set of tickets I tried to purchase showed an error page, tried to purchase a new set that was then unavailable and them when logging in to view my tickets from my third attempt, to my huge surprise saw the tickets that I was informed were not able to be purchased due to error on my first attempt.
First and last time ever using Seat Geek!
Purchased tickets to Elton John at Dodger stadium through SeatGeek. Had to add the MLB website. Got a message from Seat Geek to accept my tickets. Followed the steps to accept the tickets. Message on app said I had accepted tickets, but they never showed up. You can talk to customer service only on day of event. I spent over 2 hours on the phone and they were never able to help me. I asked for the actual seat numbers and the representative told me she didn't have that information. The ticket person I spoke at at Dodger Stadium said Seat Geek is notorious for reselling tickets. After day of event you can only text with customer service. I tried and kept getting disconnected. I disputed charge with American Express, but Seat geek submitted a screen shot showing that the tickets had been accepted and are rebilling me. They are not responding to any emails. This was on my wife's bucket list so I paid for flights, airfare, hotel and rental car to make this happen. Beware of this company!
I would give zero stars if I could. I don't have enough space to type what I need to, but when trying to sell some tickets purchased on this app, it somehow linked some totally different tickets that I had saved in my MLB Ballpark app. I wasn't trying to sell the MLB Ballpark tickets, only the ones purchased through SeatGeek. The tickets that ended up selling were valued way more than what I set the selling amount for. Yes, I would think at some point I should have noticed the wrong tickets were listed, but the MLB tickets should have never even linked with the Seat Geek app. I will never use any of these again. I lost alot of money over this.
My experience with SeatGeek has been absolutely terrible. They refuse to refund under any circumstances then wait until the last minute to send your tickets so it is too late to resell. Terrible.
I bought tickets the day if or event and we had amazing seats for such a great price! This is the second time Im using seat geek and I could not be happier
Love the different ways of searching for seats & that I can easily see good deals on the map. The 10% discount code was what prompted me to use SeatGeek for my tickets.
I was charged for tickets i didn't use because of confusion with the app and payment processing. I have sent a complaint, but keep getting passed around.
Hefty fee charged to both seller and buyer; it tried to tell which ticket is more worthy, but it failed badly since it doesn't understand each stadium or concert hall. Overall, very bad.
My total experience was maybe 10 minutes. Clearly showed prices, from least to most expensive just how I like it. Checkout was simple. Only critique is I wish it let me use PayPal.
As you can tell from the one star reviews and subsequent replies from Seat Geek, this site only collects ticket information from the many resellers out there. Unfortunately, this lends credibility to the many scammers by lumping them in with the reputable dealers. You assume there is some screening process done by Seat Geek, but that doesn't seem to happen. I purchased a Super Bowl ticket only to have the dealer contact me to tell me there was an error and were refunding my money. This tied up my credit line for a few days and could have held up my subsequent purchase from StubHub. I was lucky, the refund did come through and I was notified by RazorGator in time to purchase another ticket. Seat Geek should track the dealers' performance and exclude those that are not providing a basic level of customer service. If Seat Geek becomes the goto place to find tickets, they should be able to insist on performance by the resellers they include on their site. I will continue to use them to scout tickets, but will probably only buy from resellers I am familiar with.
Hi Shana,
Thanks for getting in touch. We're sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience with SeatGeek. We actually do hold all of our vendors to very high standards, and when we do have a broker that's repeatedly providing negative service to our users, it's our policy to remove their tickets from SeatGeek like you suggested. Please consider reaching out to us at hi@SeatGeek.com so we can resolve the issue.
Thanks again!
Absolutely terrible! NEVER USE THIS SITE. If I could give negative reviews, I would. I bought tickets to a huge game for around $200 and almost a WEEK later they inform me because of some technical error, the tickets aren't available. This technical error = trying to make money off a higher buyer.
Hi Jamie! We're sorry to hear you're disappointed. SeatGeek is a ticket aggregator, meaning we list tickets but do not own them. This means that when you're when you buy tickets using SeatGeek, you are not buying them from SeatGeek. We may have helped you search for and find a good deal, but your payment and your order go directly to the individual or business who owns the tickets (a. K. a. "the seller"). The seller receives, fulfills, and ships your order, and also provides customer support.
We're sorry to hear that you experienced a technical error with the vendor from who you purchased the tickets. It's best to contact the vendor directly in that situation, as they have access to your order and can help resolve the issue for you. We hope that helps next time.
We ordered tickets on line; several emails on our phone to get seat geek app,
Seat Geek sent us to AXS to get tickets; then ended up getting the wrong seat. TOO MUCH, just so you can save paper. Never ordering from you again.
I purchased 2 tix to Adele at Staples for 09/20/16 -- they were close to 1K. AFTER I purchased the tix, I was reading reviews for SeatGeek and needless-to-say, was a bit in panic mode. The eMail I received confirming they were sent had a blank tracking number! I was finally able to track down the fed-ex number and you can be sure I tracked that on an hourly basis. Well - the tickets were delivered; and, they even called the day of to ensure I received the tickets and to enjoy the show. So yes, the communication could have been a bit smoother; but, all-in-all it worked out in the end and it was an AMAZING show. Would I use them again? Probably --- I just hope they smooth out their en-route communication...
I really liked the discounted price UNTIL the excessive "handling fee" hit, but all in all it's still a fairly good price and so far I have not had any issue purchasing, receiving, or using my tickets.
This is the worst service and experience I have ever had. I purchased tickets on SeatGeek and the sale was confirmed. The day of the event, I still had not received my tickets. I had to call/chat in 7 times. Each time I chatted in, the representative said they would call me back. Not 1 of them emailed or called me. I asked to speak to a manager 10 times but was unable to get them to connect me to a person who could resolve my issue. 2 hours before the baseball game, I was told that the seller backed out. I wanted to use their guarantee but they did not offer me comparable seats or better. I had tickets between first and home. They would only offer me outfield horrible seats. None of the seats they offered came close to where the seats I purchased were located. Since they would not give me a resolution until 2 hours before the event, there were not a lot of tickets left at a reasonable price. Because these were a gift for a friend, I wound up spending TWICE the amount to replace the tickets. The entire experience was ridiculous. DO NOT USE THEM. Their guarantee does not exist and there is ZERO accountability.
Just wanted to do something special for my son's 21st birthday. Glad I was able to find 6 seats together. He will be extremely excited to attend the game with the family.
Found just what I was looking for to surprise my mom! The process is easy. I've never had a problem with seatgeek and will continue to purchase my tickets through the site/app.
Answer: Shana is correct, Seat Geek takes no responsibility for tickets and have no customer service and will not return calls if things do not work out Stub Hub is much better
Answer: Hi Beth, Welcome to SeatGeek! In order to maintain our marketplace we do have fees, but we'll always show you a thorough price breakdown of your order before you can checkout. Plus, we've got options so you can actually search for tickets and see the fees included in the price from the get-go. Simply use the filter "Prices with fees" when searching for listings. You can read more about that here: https://support.seatgeek.com/hc/en-us/articles/360036685293 I hope that helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions-- Best wishes, SeatGeek CX Team

Hi There,
Really glad to hear that you enjoy the convenience of our platform.
Though, want to make sure everything went okay with your order. It sounds like you ended up making a second purchase due to getting an error message but it turned out your ticket order did go through. Please send us an email to support@seatgeek.com or call us at 888.506.4101 and we will be happy to look into this and see what we can do about that accidental double order.
Warm Regards,
SeatGeek GX Team
