Replied to a listing on facebook re grant for new windows if yours are over so many years old. Turned out to be Safe Style windows made an appointment for Saturday. Saturday morning they phoned to confirm I said ok but my wife is travelling back from friends and may not be here but I know what colour we want and style also what handles. The arrogant git on the over end of the phone started talking over me and said if we both can't be there he cancelling the appointment. Whilst still trying to establish whay a 60 plus year old man can't shop on his own he said good bye and put the phone down. A little while after my wife phoned to say she was making good time and would be home soon. Your loss we are looking to buy but not from Dave Seaman and his crew

Hell
November 21, 2022

Further to my review below an update, although they appear responsive on here: no word, if fact our relationship Manager Amanda has stopped responding too so now we're left with damaged windows worse off than when we stated with safestyle, it's been a nightmare. If you are interested in ever contacting, it's Purchase order *******, given that we've been told the Regional Manager will contact us 3 weeks ago, I don't have much faith.

Our manager Amanda has been amazing to start. She has been let dowh by her colleagues. Our installers were great too. This review is about the factory, the depot and their surveyors.

3 surveys, loads of excuses, lack of communication between depot and factory and we've been left with an uninhabitable house with drafts through temporary windows that we cannot seal, we live in winter clothing in out house with blankets, cranking up heating with the added costs that does not take away from the fact that we have temporary fitted windows that were surveyed and measured incorrectly. We started this process in July, we found the fault after they pulled the windows out and we've had every excuse why they can't get it right for 2 months moving into winter months. Our neighbours have been put off safestyle from what they've seen and you should too.

It has been 8 months since we had our windows and doors installed and Safestyle have visited many times. However they seem unable to fix the beading around 3 of our windows because they either get the colour or the beading type wrong. I have no faith they will ever be fixed. We will never use safestyle again. I hope this review prevents somebody else facing stress.

They changed 3 of our windows in hope to overcome draft and safe energy. They made it worth. Twice they came and changed, no different. It is just waste of money. Poor quality materials. I am planning to use another firm to put 3rd glaze.
Safestyle is trolly useless

Window and door still broken
November 4, 2022

I have had a broken window and broken French doors since they were fitted over 12 months ago. I had to go through an online adjudicator to get a response from Safestyle and they eventually agreed to send out an assessor. The assessor said he would arrange for an engineer to come and replace the faulty units and took accurate measurements.
I have had five engineer appointments to come out and replace them and on all five occasions the replacements could not be done as the engineer received the wrong sized window and door. When I was told on the sixth occasion that the replacements were the wrong size, I cancelled any further visits as I could not take any more days off work to be at home for engineers, and 6 failed attempts is beyond a joke.
I was told that the refunds team would be in touch with me within a couple of days. Nobody contacted me.
In September I called customer services again and again was told that somebody from the refunds team would be in touch with me, again, nobody got in touch.
On the 19th October I sent a complaint in through the safestyle website, again, nobody has been in touch

I had to register a previous complaint in order to get the scaffolding removed after installation as it was left up for more than 8 weeks after work was finished.

Avoid
October 31, 2022

I had the whole of the front of my house done with Safe Style UK, 1 front door composite and 6 windows, 3 of which was for a bay window. A salesman came round and gave me a quote a little over £*******, I was offered a big discount and ended paying a little over £7600. Having done more looking in to it, are they competitive? Definitely not! The windows and my door, I love them, however I complained about the finish with the sealant not being neat, I complained about when the windows are open you can see several screws not in properly or even gone in at an angle. I even cut my hand on one of the screws! For the price I paid I'd expect perfection. This is far from. What made it worse after my 1st complaint and being told a technician will come round no one did. They called me asking if I was happy with the service, I complained to them and was told a technician will come round. Over a year on still having issues with my bedroom window which needs totally replacing as they damaged on installing. Complained only last week again, now going through another company Rimmers in Southport, a lot cheaper, excellent reviews. Safestyle have said when they get the faulty window back I'll get a full refund for the window of £1177. The alternative they said I can keep the window as is and they'll give me 10% back and the window loses its warranty. What a insult and joke. Avoid this company at all costs. I will be informing trading standards of all the issues over the past year.

Avoid avoid avoid!
October 17, 2022

We called safe style to get a quote for a new door. The quote was way too much not even anywhere near the amount I was expecting. They were here 45 minutes and in my opinion it felt a hard sell. We kept saying oh we'll think about it etc and he kept talking. Even when he said about paying we said we'd think about it. Finally he got the hint but it has definitely put me off ever having my door replaced. Didn't like the hard sell, the fact they were extremely sexist! And the ploy of this is the price, with discount it'll be this then they make a 'phone call' - no one was on the phone to him he was clearly making it up! Then suddenly it the price had come down!. Must have think we were born yesterday. Absolutely never again was relieved when he left. And this was in my lunch break which made it worse!

Amazingly quick to come out, quoted 12k just for windows only( 3 bed but some large windows) but 10k if I booked there and then. I wouldn't book. Had 2 other quotes from local companies with good reviews, both for just under 6.5k, upgraded to flush windows, also added new front porch door, and x2 large side windows on the porch, and all for 9k locally. Please get quotes from more than one company.

Unprofessional greedy sales agents, company is absolutely untrustworthy.

Summary: 1. When you demand instant payment from a customer you ought to give refunds instantly when order cancelled by you; 2. I should not make calls to request my money back, it was your fault; 3. You asked inappropriate questions which pose a security risk, you should be investigated by police.

Details: Came to my house, when I expressed interest sold me a door promising a number of features. Demanded deposit to be paid on the spot, which I did. When they came to take the measurements it turned out that they are unable to supply and install what I was sold. Promised an automatic refund within 3-4 days. A week has passed, no money. I had to call them, they said I have to wait few more days while they are processing the report and then give my bank details to someone who would call me. All that after asking questions if I live in my house alone and what I think of CCTV cameras. *******.

I wanted all my six windows in my semi detached house changed, saw tv advert for this company, so called up to enquire. After initial pleasantries, I was asked if I owned the house, I answered yes. I was asked if I have a wife or partner, I answered no. Halfway through conversation, I was asked again, if I have a partner, I replied no. At end of conversation I was asked the same question, to which I regurgitated no. We arranged an appointment on Monday 29th August. On the morning of that day, I got another call from this company to confirm the appointment afterwhich I was again asked if my partner will be with me. At that point, I asked why is this company so concerned about my personal life, if I have a partner or not? I'm buying windows not life insurance. To that question, the caller retorted that he was not party to the previous calls and he is not there to argue with me! Obviously this company expects their customers to be simpleton lemmings, answer all questions and only speak when spoken to, and do not ask questions!

At that point, I cancelled the appointment. From that Monday until today i. E. 2nd September, I receive a call from this company daily implying that I had cancelled that Monday appointment because it was inconvenient for me, and they would like to set another up! Even though at each call, I have made my position clear why I cancelled the initial appointment and I have already signed a contract with another reputable window company Brighton Trade Windows to replace my windows.

During one of these calls, the caller even stated if I know a certain person, by name, saying he is a neighbour whom they will be visiting that day to quote! This is obviously a breach of this person's privacy and I would certainly now want this company to be annoucing my business to others!

Real shame this company devalues their potential customers to such an extent.

I had a very bad experience with safestyle and I posted a review on their website. My review was not good and they decided not post it online. They only post what they like and not real customers feed back.
