Cannonsburg ky. I stopped in to see the ammo price s. I've never set foot inside this place ever. Was shopping for ammo. Went to the counter and the girl there was very knowledgeable and helpful and the young man there was nice and polite as well. I bout 60$ worth of ammo and paid for it no problem at the gun counter. I was walking out and I stopped in the front and was looking at some plastic totes. I had my bag in my hand and as I was walking out this manager lady yelled at me and said hey I need to see what's in your bag. First of all that was unbelievably rude. I said yea sure no problem. What made me mad was her calling me out in front of everyone. This manager doesn't know what she is doing. If your a manager you should know that you have other registers throughout the store. I will tell you this I spend a couple grand a month on target ammo and that was going to be my new spot. But after that I will take my business elsewhere. That was absolutely ridiculously embarrassing. They get 2 stars because the gun counter girl and guy were polite and knowledgeable. I'm not the type to go around and get folks on trouble but that was handled the wrong way. So to you Red headed manager at cannonsburg ky rural king you just lost a lot of business I will never be back. Acting like I did something wrong or stole something is utterly ridiculous.
Got a side by side at Rural King (E-town) had issues with it. Took it to Glasgow Rural King. They worked hard to fix the issue. As they fixed the issue they found another issue with it. I returned it right there. The staff were outstanding and very understanding. The Company paid off the loan and sent me e a check for the payment I had made, all was completed within one week. I never had to call to see what was the problem. They took care of me. If all companies would take care of their customers as Rural King did, we all would be better off. Thank you Rural King and my hats off the staff at the Glasgow Rural King. I will shop there as long as I can, once again thank you all
I ordered online from the site and they took no time at all taking my money. After weeks of waiting for them to ship I sent an email asking for an update. I didn't even get a response back and just got an email saying they're canceling my order. I still needed to fight to get my money back from them. Definitely pay via PayPal or you will get scammed and this company will steal your money. This is hands down one of the most pathetic companies I've even dealt with.
I ordered a pool and three LEGO bins. The pool arrived, the bins did not. Their site still said the item was available, so I figured there was some delay from Covid or something. Nope. After a month, I reached out, and they said it wasn't in stock. It's almost two months now and still no refund for the bins, either. I won't shop with them again. Total incompetence.
I wanted to return a product that only cost $5. I had my receipt and purchased it within the month. I had to provide my name address and phone number. I have never been given such a third-degree on a legitimate return when I provided a receipt.
I ordered a Husqvarna mower online, they said it was in stock. After a week, I went online to get a status update but the site said my order didn't exist. I contacted customer service via email to address the issue and find out what the problem was. Now they are telling me they are out of them and are on backorder with no ETA. They said 10 business days before I can get a refund so I can purchase another one. In the meantime, I am paying someone to mow both my yard and my daughters yard. My opinion, I should have been refunded immediately when they discovered they were out of stock, I shouldn't have to chase them down for an answer. My money left my account immediately but they can't refund immediately for their error. I won't be doing any more business with this company, online or at the local store.
I am very disappointed in their policy of orders online. We placed the order onlin due to the "stay at home" issues. They charged our credit card the full amount. Then without any reason, they canceled the order. I called customer service, I was on hold for 1hr 25 minutes. They can only say "sorry about that" we must have run out of stock. Now when we try to purchase it elsewhere, it will not be received in time for Christmas. Other suppliers have to item, but shipping is the issue. I will not be ordering from Rural King in the future. This is not the only time they have really screwed us over. And they don't offer anything for all the inconvenience. A very poor customer service from the company. The actual customer service agent was very understanding and professional.
Called Sweetwater rural king needing a pallet of 24d. Girl in customer service said they had it and I told her it would take me an hour to drive there and I would get it. She said ok. When I arrived she said she could only sell me 2 jugs

Worst customer service ever! Ordered my first firearm, was pretty excited about it until I had to start dealing with this company. Put my order in February, never heard anything or got an email so I called and was told they didn't know why my order hasn't been shipped. Said they had to email a supervisor and would email me the reason it was still there. Never heard from them so I called back, was told it would be shipped March 13th. I called March 14th to make sure, still hasn't been shipped. I asked if I could be compensated in some form like a box of free ammo or a discount for all these delays and was told there was nothing they could do. I asked if they could overnight the shipment and was told no, has to come by truck. So buying my first gun has been a complete disaster because of this extremely horrible company.
I recently went to the Rural King in $tate College with my daughter to buy some potting soil. We went to the yard to see what they had. I decided on some organic potting soil. Went inside to pay. The cashier kept calling it garden soil. I kept reminding her that I wanted potting soil...not garden soil. Not once did she call it potting soil! I paid and she handed me the ticket and said "Here is the ticket for your garden soil" I glared at her and said "potting soil, not garden soil!"I looked at the ticket to make sure it said potting soil. It did. Gave the boy outside my ticket and he loaded up my 2 bags. Went home and guess what? I had 2 bags of GARDEN SOIL!(!. I don't have a garden. Only containers. I have no use for garden soil. It is not the same as potting soil. Idiots.
Store number 100 in Ocala, FL. Price in store was very different than price online. $4.00 different. Trying to get price straightened out, customer service was a disaster. Worst I have ever encountered. Gave up on customer service & went to a checkout & the "lady" there was very rude. BYE rural king, never again.
I was at Rural King in Zanesville Ohio Friday 29th. 2022. I was needing assistance with a purchase and help loading purchase. Ally was so sweet and helped me with everything I needed; Ally and another associate Stephanie loaded my purchase into my truck. Both of these young ladies were professional and very helpful. And I wanted them to be recognized as exceptional employees.
On May 4 2020. I ordered a few items wrote them 11 days later to see where items are n why not shipped? Received a reply that they were processing it. Waited another couple days items still not shipped. Wrote again to cancel order they said I couldn't and no refund. Really? They took my money on May 4. Still disappointed and no response. I wouldn't recommend this business to anyone. What terrible experience.
I needed a PTO for a John Deere brush mower. The description was what I need. When I received the PTO, it was 8 inches too short. The invoice stated a shorter length than the online length. I emailed Ruralking immediately. Their answer was they do not take phone calls and they are over a MONTH behind, they will email me when they get to me. If you cannot believe their description, how do you ever expect to get the right parts. I should have researched before I bought. The bad ratings were there.
I see lots of negative reviews on Rural King but myself I have to give them 5 Stars. I have bought from Owensboro, Greenville and Glascow stores and nothing less than personal satisfaction from all 3. I've purchased in house and ordered online to pickup in store and some delivered to my home. In fact as I write this I just received my 1,000 rounds of 5.56 ammo. I will continue to buy Rural King if possible. They ordered me a gun that local Cabelas and Gander could not or would not order for me. I picked it up at Glascow store and process went smooth.
All I can say is they have my business when possible.

They doubled the price of shipping on me after I put in my creditcard info and hit submit. I contacted them and they agreed this was a mistake but never refunded me the money (it was a heavy package so the shipping was heavy too... so imaging paying double). They also never sent me a confirmation email with my order number or the summary of my purchase.
I made a purchase on line.It had to go through a 3rd party to receive FFL. Not only did they not respond to my emails when they finally did it was to inform me that the 3rd party did not respond false they never contacted the 3rd party which I had called they said they never received request.
I personally will never do business again with this company Rural King.
Phone number listed says to better serve you write email folks that is what I dealt with.
March 9. I ordered two dehumidifiers to be shipped to store, as I am in the area 3 or 4 times per month, so convenient pickup. While I was at it, I put bird seed in the order (I usually purchase when at this store). Within a few hours an email of order cancelled. I contacted customer service immediately on same day to inquire as to the problem. I spoke with Parker who explained the dehumidifier was not in stock at "the store", but that the seed was shipping. I knew that the dehumidifiers were not in stock at Winchester, and that is why I ordered -"ship to store". I also requested that Parker cancel the seed and obviously ridiculous shipping cost on a $13 item.
Today March 12, I receive an email and tracking number for the birdseed from FedEx. Call and speak with Cassidy who says it was in process at the warehouse/pique list and that the shipping was part of the TERMS agreed to when I placed the order.
Though I always liked RK, no more. Advice:be very cautious with their online store...
Drove to 2 rural kings
Glasgow Ky and Clarksville TN to get a item that was listed on Rural King website stating it was in stock at both stores. Neither store had the item. I came home to Bowling Green without the product and spent a lot on gas traveling for no reason.
My wife used the restroom in our Bedford Indiana store and she said it terrible the doors on the stalls had been ripped off and were leaning against the wall and another was hanging off the stall.
Answer: They had what i needed, but never received. Tryed calling customer service only to be on hold for 2 hours and when answered they could give me no answer!
Answer: Butler store is cleaner then other stores. The bathrooms are always clean or being clean when I'm there.
