0 stars if I could. Crap quality polyester rugs. They don't even offer cotton or wool rugs.
But the worst is their $25 per item (even when shipped together) return fee. Highway robbery! They clearly are not concerned with repeat customers...just getting away with what they can until they go out of business. AVOID!
I had a terrible experience trying to return two rugs. The colors didn't work for my space, and their return process was overly complicated. They wouldn't allow me to return both rugs together and charged a $25 Handling fee for each rug. I've never encountered such a fee that seems designed to discourage returns.
I ended up exchanging one rug and returning the other, but the replacement rug also didn't work out. This meant another $25 fee and shipping costs. It was the most frustrating return experience I've ever had, and I'll definitely avoid buying rugs from them in the future. Sounds like one month free return. But they just kept 75 dollars handling fee from my order and I got nothing
The rug quality is shoddy. The customer service is even more shoddy. If you want to return your POS rug, you will pay them 25 bucks. We didn't even unroll the thing. The rug looked like crap. We thought, well, maybe we'll exchange it. NOPE! We paid $122 for our runner. The least expensive runner when we went back was $209. They would not even exchange the same rug for a different color unless we paid an addition cost--because somehow the cost doubled in less than a week.
I purchased two rugs about 20 months ago. My "outdoor" black and white rug faded in about 9 months and they did replace it per the warranty. However, they said to keep it out of the weather, sun and bring it in during the winter. That is a high maintenance rug. Every other outdoor rug I've had had lasted until I wanted a different one. My living room rug is hard to vacuum, gets very wrinkled and the edging is unraveling and looks quite awful. Spend the money somewhere else. Crate and barrel and world market are my old go to places for rugs. I'll stick to those from now on.
This was a great concept. I hate the rugs. They slide all over the place but yet when I go to move them back to their proper place don't want to budge. The color is much more muted than they look online and interestingly they only have 5-star reviews on their website. They must not post reviews where people are not happy. I will never order from them again. I like being able to wash the rugs but they need to be washed frequently as the colors are so muted they look filthy after just a few days.
I recently purchased my first Ruggable rug online. But when I received it, the colour/pattern of the rug didn't match with our hallway decor. Unfortunately, I didn't realize how terrible their return/exchange policy was until it was too late.
- No exchanges for Canadian customers
- No return postage for Canadian customers (which means about $65.08 CAD out of pocket to ship back to Illinois from Toronto)
- A $25 USD ($33.48 CAD) processing fee per returned item... wtf?
So of the $310.24 CAD purchase price (that's including taxes and with a 15% end of year discount), I would only receive $211.68 back (68% of the purchase price). Truly one of the worst return policies I've ever seen for a multi-million dollar online company.
I purchased a rug advertised as black on the website. After receiving it, it was actually a dark bluish color. Customer service was horrible. Said there's not much they can do other than giving me a prorated amount back. But this was obviously their mishap. I decided to keep the outdoor rug and after a few months the color faded. I will never purchase any item from this company or recommend them to anyone.
I'm based in Canada and recently bought a rug from them.
When the rug was delivered I immediately knew it was not the colour I was expecting. When looking to return I was told international customers are responsible for there own shipping (and they offer no refund for these costs).
I bough a 6x4 rug and the cost to ship back would be 50% of the rug costs! I'm sure they factored international shipping costs when selling me the rug. Surprised they're able to sell to Canadians without a fair return policy. From a customer experience perspective they should make this policy more evident at check out as well!
The runners are great. The 8x10 is a horror to assemble. Customer Service is awful, I was told to "watch YouTube." I accepted a minute rebate, then decided I couldn't live with that dreadful rug in my home. Using the lowest suction setting, it was a wrinkled mess after vacuuming. I called for a refund, received a mailing label, and was told to buy rectangular box for mailing the top and a long/narrow box (being sure not to bend the liner) for the bottom. Oh, and the "service" charge was to be $25. As if I'd go through all that, although I'm out over $400. Do yourself a favor and stick with a small rug or runner if you must deal with these people. Never again.
To put the rug together is very difficult. You need to line top and bottom up, gets the grippers in line. It took a long time on my own. The thought of taking it apart to wash is a horrible one. It still does not lay totally flat on top of the pad.
The top part of the rug (the cover) is very thin. It doesn't feel great under my feet. Many other rugs have a much better feel.
The design is very muted. The lighting online is amazing. It doesn't really look the same in person.
I sent an email to the company. They responded very quickly, asking for lots of info about my order. I have heard nothing since, after 2+ days. I didn't even get an acknowledgement that they are working on it.
The rugs are very expensive, imho, and not worth the cost.
I ordered a rug from Ruggable with a pad.
It is clear to me that the pad is too short for the rug.
The rug is a runner in a high traffic area; the too short pad causes both a tripping hazard and the short pad does not keep the run in place.
I have reached out for help from Ruggable; instead of offering an an easy solution, like a replacement pad cut in the correct dimensions, it's required for me to send photos to prove that the pad is too short.
Who should decide whether the pad is too short, or just right? Should the company who makes a consumer good, or the customer who purchases it decide how it should be best used?
I am frustrated at the lack of customer service and action; it's no problem to take the payment, but there is a problem providing the product for which the customer has paid.
Great customer service if you have anything go wrong with your rug however their pricing is a bit to high for what you receive which is why I didn't give them 5 stars.
Ruggable sent me a very cheap rug called the Delphina rug. It was almost $400, and I did not use the rug and sent it back for a refund because it was cheap and the artwork looked printed on with a laser jet printer. It looked so faded, awful, and cheap. It was thin, the mat underneath made horrible noises, and the rug didn't lay flat. Be careful because the reviews are dishonest, and they drown out all the honest reviews with fake reviews all over the internet. They refused to refund me and only gave me $73 back from a nearly $400 rug. I'll never buy a thing from them again, and I hope the world finds out how much this company is a sham!
I have been very pleased with Ruggable. I didn't like the first rug that I received (didn't suit the space) and the team made the exchange process very easy. Customer service was fast and friendly. They also honored a discount and made the overall experience a happy one.
Bought a runner system and paid extra for an upgraded, cushioned pad. Found that the cover did not match my decor and requested a different cover. Ruggable insisted I return both the cover and the pad. Was charged $20 for the exchange, which was fine since I picked the wrong cover the first time. But when the new system arrived, they switched out the cushioned pad - which I had already paid extra for - for the thinner standard pad. Customer service cannot explain why I was required to forfeit the better pad, nor will they correct their mistake by sending me the cushioned pad that I previously bought. I will never deal with such dishonorable people. Maybe you shouldn't either
Would not recrecommend these rugs - seems like a great concept but I have 2 kitchen runners on tile and they wont stay in place. Every time you contact customer service they want order numbers - photos - tug size etc. like they dont have record of anything. Very disappointed in these given the premium price
Purchased a small rug that was shown to be a beige and green colour on the website. Colours were nowhere near as vibrant in person and looked more like a grey on grey, with an awful white trim that wasn't shown in online photos. Returning it was a nightmare, not free from Canada like other businesses and I only received about 25% of my money back. Wasn't worth the time or money.
I have had my rug 1 1/2. I have loved it. The colors have held, easy spot cleanup and vacuums well. Now that I need to really clean it, it doesn't fit in my washer and there are no convenient laundry matt s available that have large washers. In trying to call customer service it's just crickets. I am now looking for a new area rug.
I received great customer service from Ruggable. They helped me with my rug purchase and were a very nice company to work with. Would highly recommend!
Exchanged two full-priced rugs. Received only a partial refund and no explanation of why 45% of what I paid was not returned. Emailed company and never got a reply.
