I booked a room before the crown virus emergency. For security reasons, the government closed the borders so as not to spread the infection, also canceling my bus ticket. I wrote to a Roomlala seller writing that for security reasons the Italian government does not let me out of the country but as an answer I received that it is not their problem ignoring what was going on. Be careful because this site is concerned only with money and not with us customers. No professionalism.

Hello, I transfered money for the apartment, didn't get any respond, I don't get the keys, I didn't get the contract. I have not received a response to my e-mail. It remains to think that this is a scam. No answer from the owner of the apartment. Nothing.

Ho chiesto di annullare la prenotazione della mia stanza per il corona virus siccome il governo ha chiuso le frontiere. Mi e stato detto che non potevano rimborsarlo e si sono tenuti i soldi. Non e possibile affidarsi in un sito del genere.

If I could give them a 0, I would.
The landlord "Cathy" from France (has rooms in Saint-Etienne) it's just impossible;
10 days before my rent finished she kick me out on a Sunday (in Saint-Etienne every place is closed so I couldn't do much about sending her money).
Roomlala did nothing, I sent them all my issues but they just don't care, they washed their hands and told me to talk with the landlord for the days that I wasn't there (10 days).
She blocked me on Whatsapp, doesn't respond to my emails
Roomlala did nothing.
If you're looking in France maybe it's better "la carte des colocs", "coloc invest" or "airbnb".

I'll tell you the reasons if you want to read them but it's just for you to understand better and to be carefull:

I' m not from France and she didn't even try to explain me anything. When I arrived she didn't told me where or when or how I could pay the deposit. She would call me when I was in work without asking first. She wasn't clear about things, she sent me some papers 15 days after I've arrived and expected me to know what they where. There were some misunderstandings and on a friday afternoon she told me that I had to send her those papers signed, I thought it was okey if I did it on Monday, I had a trip planned; well... it wasn't but I've told you, not from france she didn't explained;

The appart wasn't built correctly so the lavabo fell to the ground and I was accused even though I wasn't even there when it happend...

I had a friend over, for 5 days (I've asked to my roomates if it was ok they said "yes, no problem") in the contract said 7 days(consecutive or not) per mounth, yes I didn't sign it but it did said that so I just don't see the point of putting this like a kicked out reason.

Thanks for reading, please DON'T USE ROOMLALA, save yourself from trouble, have a nice life

Unprofessionally - They don't refund - Attention with landlord.

Hi everyone - I just get a very bad experience with Roomlala and I would like to tell you something:
1- Don't pay with your credit card if you can't reached the landlord by telephone - my landlord was never pick her telephone up, she said "I don't understand why but I didn't pick up but couldn't connect to you""- I was thought it was because of the network at first.

2- You might have to test the landlord if he / she care about you and call you back if you have some troubles on arrivals. Don't trust people easily. I believe that Roomlala do not have enough data on the landlord, and can not control their network professionally.

3- From my experience. I cancelled the reservation when I could't join the landlord and Roomlala do not refund me as they said:

"No refund is provided by Roomlala when the decision to cancel the reservation is unilateral on the part of the tenant and does not meet the conditions of a dispute. Any decision regarding a cancellation, not a dispute, must be processed between the tenant and the owner directly."

My landlord is Catherine and the person get in touch with me on Roomlala is Laura.

This is the first time I'm on Roomlala and get very bad experience. I won't never ever return to Roomlala for any reason, the way they solve problem make me feel unprofessional. So only one star for them.

Do not trust this service! I encountered a violent landlord, kicking my belongings, throwing wooden hangers, forcefully pushing me, throwing my phone across the room. She even started harassing me after the rental. I reported this rental to Roomlala customer service, with picture and video evidence. Roomlala says since the landlord has two positive reviews, and no previous reports of abuse, they will not remove her- despite the evidence showing her behavior. The landlord still has an active post to rent the same room. Do not trust this service.

FRAUD ALERT! FRAUD ALERT! Be Aware of this website, "Roomlala.com"

Landlords and Homestay host, if you are looking to earn additional income for your rental property, BE WARNED! I REPEAT, BE WARNED! DO NOT POST YOUR LISTINGS ON ROOMLALA.COM!

Whenever it comes to receiving payments for homestay hosting services rendered from Roomlala and you bring it to their attention that you have not received the payments that is due for your homestayservices rendered, you are taken down the path of pure unadulterated BS. That's how sleazy this site is.

Roomlala.com is a website where Landlords and Homestay hosts can advertise their homes, rooms or apartments for rent. To use their site, they require that you pay a membership fee that will allow you access to respond to any inquires that you receive from guests who may be interested in renting your accommodation. Approximately 2 years ago I had a bad experience with Roomlala where I did not receive any payments for services rendered. Despite the fact that I was aware of their dishonest business practices, I stupidly decided to pay the membership fees a few weeks ago because I wanted to respond to a guest who contacted me for inquiries regarding my accommodation.

The guest confirmed his reservations by making the total payments to Roomlala for the amount that was advertised on my listing. Shortly after the reservation was confirmed, I received an email from Roomlala.com showing that the payments had been made in full by the guest along with their date of arrival and departure. The guest has arrived and has since left. He thoroughly enjoyed his stay and much to my delight, extended his stay to one full week and thankfully the difference in payments was made directly to me. As of today, September 12,2017, it is now18 days and counting, and I still have not received any payments whatsoever from Roomlala.com.

For the past several days I have been sending emails to there Customer Service Center informing them that I did not receive the payments that is due. I even sent them a demand email clearly stating that payments in the amount that is owing are to be deposited into my bank account no later than September 05,2017. Instead of me receiving my payments, below are some of the BS responses that Ive received from someone by the name of "Camille":

". Am sorry to hear of this- I have sent your case to my Accounts Manager so he will look at this asap and we will get back to your with regard to where your money is..."

This is another response, that I received from "Camille":
"... I agree that we need someone to be able to cover these payments when people are away, however unfortunately at the moment we don't. She is back from her holiday this weekend, so I will do my utmost to ensure your payment is made on Monday"

This is their most recent response sent on September 08,2017:

"... The payment for reservation 906XXXX was made to your account on the 5th Setember, therefore it should be in your account very soon if it is not already..."
"... As I said we are extremely sorry for the delayed transaction- the lady in charge of Canadian transfers was away during the time that your reservation with Viviane begun, however it was sent to your account 3 days ago so will be with you very soon..."
". We are sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused you."

Here also one can see the contradiction and dishonesty in Roomlala's business practices. On their website under the Heading "How do I receive the payment for my rental?" Roomlala clearly states:
"As soon as a reservation has been confirmed and paid for, the tenants account is debited, but the payment to the landlord is processed only 48 hours after the tenants arrival at the accommodation..."
"... As banks are closed on weekends and Mondays, if the tenant arrives on a Thursday, Friday, or during the weekend, the transfer may not appear on your account until the following Wednesday."

Not receiving payments for my services rendered is most upsetting for me. I have been contacting my bank just to see if any payments were received from Roomlala. Roomlala have made absolutely no attempt whatsoever to assist in this matter. I am confident that if money was indeed transferred to my account, there would of been able to give me a tracking number for the bank to be able to track the payment. Because of this I am left with the distinct belief that roomlala have no intention of paying me for my services that was rendered and the payments is instead transferred into their pockets. Shame on you Roomlala!

There are other sites that I have dealt with and would recommend them in a heartbeat: #1,"Homestay.com" this site is just over three years old and are moving at an extremely fast pace this site is where I get the majority of confirmed booking for my "Charming Homestaymtl Accommodation". #2, "AirBnB". I have been with AirBNB for the past five years and only once have I ever had a bit of a problem with payments the problem was brought to their attention and within a matter of 2 hours the same day the payments was in my PayPal account. I would say that's what good business practices is all about! I would imagined that could be one of the many reasons why AirBNB have become quite large and still growing. Kudos to you AirBnB! Last but not least, "TripAdvisor Flipkey".
On these sites that I have mentioned there are outstanding positive reviews left by guests who have stayed at my "Charming homestaymtl Accommodation". That's good business practices. I take pride in what I do and value my good reputation as a Homestay Host. I give what is offer in my listings and more.

Roomlala, you need to get some class about you and stop behaving like common criminals, it's not becoming of you as an online business! It makes you thieves when you know that services have been rendered and do not pay out for the services. This is not a coincidence, or a misunderstanding, this is clearly a common practice by you to lie about making paying but not actually doing so. You are nothing but CROOKS and LOWLIFES! I WANT MY MONEY!
