Originally found them after being recommended from a Facebook group. I didn't like how much I was paying, but after checking with industry averages their service prices are basically right there in the middle with everyone elses. Ultimately the resume my writer wrote for me was pretty good and better than what I can do myself... so... not too shabby of an investment.
Can't emphasize how amazed I was with their resume service. I had a painless experience working with my writer who was very experienced within the recruiting world. Not only did he help with my resume, he also reviewed my general background as an applicant and what other recruiters would see if they were to view my profile online.
Really appreciate the extra effort and everything put forth
My resume was solid. I think the service could have been a bit cheaper, $270 is heft price to pay when unemployed in this economy. I appreciate how much time my writer spent with me to make sure he got things right in regards to my resume.
I placed an expedited order with the hopes of getting my new resume done in time for a job opening with a strict deadline.
They delivered in time while also making sure the resume was very well-written. My writer even worked with me during off-work hours to ensure that we got everything set before the deadline so I can't thank her enough for what an amazing job they did. S+++++++ for sure
They are very similar to hiring a professional tax accountant - instead of paying to have my taxes done I paid them to have my resume written.
From receiving my initial draft yesterday, I can definitely see huge changes to my resume that look promising. Whether it'll yield actual results remain to be seen - things do look generally very well-written though.
I really loved the work that my writer put in for me. I will definitely recommend to others -especially for those who aren't just looking for minor resume help but want larger changes made or even complete overhauls. My new resume was definitely a lot different - which is what I liked and what makes things worth it
I received the final draft of my resume on Friday before the weekend and was thoroughly amazed by how good a job my writer did.
Throughout the process I had 2 phone calls with my writer. The first, to discuss what I had put down in the original intake form. The second, to review a very rough draft of what she had written based on that form. While the rough draft had several bullet points that were off in my eyes, I am really impressed with the final results.
My writer was very professional and informative during these 2 calls and the process as a whole was very solid from start to finish. No complaints here, and again, props to my writer for all the effort put in
Good, close to great - just not all the way there. I think I did a poor job in explaining parts of my work history to my writer, so this may not be entirely her fault, but ultimately parts of my resume were really well-written, but there were other parts that I felt slightly off.
I've had experience using other resume services in the past like ResumeEdge and ResumeWriters
I'd say this one is definitely the best one I've tried so far. The writer that helped me had more experience and seemed to be more professional than others I've been assigned to work with in the past.
Haven't tested my resume yet in the job market, but feel like it's definitely a step up. Will try to provide update if possible
I had my resume written by a resumewriter at RWS around 4 weeks ago. Just received word on Monday that one of the headhunters are Zappos are interested in hiring me as a frontend software engineer. Really glad I opted to get my resume written by this team and will definitely recommend to others out there who may be on the fence.
After going with their standard resume package, I received a pretty solid resume. They cut my resume down from 8 pages to 2 (yea I know it was super long at the start and not the best length to have when recruiters only spend 6 seconds reading each resume) and I think it was a good change.
Will be going to apply to jobs starting next week, so hopefully this new resume will increase my chances of success... not sure if there is a way to update the review, but if there is - will provide update on anything worth noting.
I was very happy with the new resume they wrote - I didn't find a single mistake and from reading through, they've done a far better job than I have. The difference between my old and new resume is like night and day. Top tier company for sure - many thanks to my writer as well
I heard about this service from a friend. We are both in finance so thought if it worked for him it would for me as well. My writer definitely helped me tremendously with reshaping my resume so that it could appeal more to recruiters. I really think this is well-worth the investment and look forward to moving forward with my job search.
Resume Writing Services is probably by far, the best experience I've had with any resume or career service. I originally went with a career coach to help me write my resume because I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone and get both a new resume and coaching advice.
However I think the career coach I went with ultimately didn't have the experience nor the expertise to guide me through either services I hired her to help me with.
After that mistake, I ended up looking strictly for a resume service and found this company. This was definitely a great find, and my writer delivered a truly game-changing resume that I am very happy with. I have yet to test drive it, but I can already tell it's much improved compared to my original.
They are a solid resume company to go with and the resume they ended up writing for me is definitely top notch. I am taking off a star because it took longer than I would have hoped for though.
On reddit, everyone was saying this was a great company to use so I ended up choosing them over other services I had researched. They really did a top notch job with my resume and was glad I made the decision I did. Having talked with some of my friends who've chosen other services, they were not as lucky.
They are very professional and wrote a great resume for me. I would definitely suggest this for anyone searchinf for a resume service. I've tried other services in the past that don't live up to expectations but these guys definitely do.
For a tip to others - avoid any service charging less than $100 per resume. I've been done that and gone down that road and it's never worth it. They will provide you with trash. It's much better to put your money on 1 service that may be expensive, but will get the job done right.
I received no writing services from Resume Writing Services. After spending $400 to have my resume rewritten in a way that reflected 'Every Resume Tells A Story: We Make Sure Yours is Worth Reading,' I received a generic cover letter and a reformatted resume. After pointing out that there was no feedback or writing provided relative to the actual content of my resume, I was told, 'the work product provided meets [the] criteria' and that 'I asked that you review all the documents and markup any documents where you wanted changes made.' Translation, there is no problem and if you want changes made, write them yourself. The work of WRS was entirely administrative and via Google Docs no less. I could easily have done this work myself in less than an hour. After pushing back again and requesting a different writer who might be a better fit, the company stopped responding. I filled out the online contact form to attempt to reach someone... nothing. Don't waste your money. Resume Writing Services ironically doesn't write.
Great writer, great resume, great experience!
Originally was thinking of skimping out on hiring a professional writer, but glad I changed my mind and went with them
They were extremely helpful towards my job search. The resume they wrote for me was superior to what I originally had, and much <3 to my writer for working with me throughout it all.
