I noticed a $59 bank card charge on my account from this company and looked further into it. Apparently they're pretty shady if you use their website. The infuriating thing in my case is, I never used their website. I looked further back on my account and not only did I have the $59 charge from them on 02/22/21 but there were two smaller charges of $0.95 and $1.00 on 02/16/21! The rep at my bank told me the $59 charge was a reoccurring charge too! I'm very upset about this, and my bank is currently investigating. Apparently this company is based out of Bulgaria.
There's nothing new to say here. They will charge you $60 for the year if you don't cancel within the 7-day window, and will not refund this.
I wrote to them:
"I received a charge on my card from RESUMETOP.COM from a subscription here at resumebuild.com. I missed the fine print on the website and did not realize it would automatically bill me for the entire year after 7 days. I don't need this subscription. I've cancelled on the website, and want to see if I can get a refund for the amount you billed today."
I've attached the response as an image.
If you have this happen to you, contact your credit card company to dispute it. This is something they will help you with.
You can easily do what this site does on Microsoft Word or a similar application for FREE. They lure you in with a $2 7 day trial than stab you in the back with a $59 instantly. They do not send you a receipt of your transaction and they won't give you a refund.
Just like many of the other reviews on here, I purchased a simple resume for $1.95 and was charged $59.00 after a week. The policy before you buy it states that you can get your money back at ANYTIME gaurenteed with no questions asked, and they do just the opposite of that. They will not refund you and only care about themselves and making money by scamming people. They have absolutely no empathy when it comes to getting a refund. Many other services are more understanding and actually do give refunds and this company should learn from them and change their advertising to prevent people getting screwed over.
0/10 I would not recommend this website, I paid ₱99 ($1.95) for 1 week of use then yesterday I found out there's nothing left in my bank account they took $43.22 (₱2,198.00) to my account.
UPDATE: Sorry for the late update. Fortunately I was able to get my money back even though resumebuild refunded my money I would still *not* recommend resumebuild avoid resumebuild because they will charge you a lot of money even though there's 5 star reviews (which is sketchy) avoid resumebuild 100% scam bad service
UPDATE 12/19/21: If you are a victim of this scam please consult your bank ASAP. Do not trust 5 star or any positive reviews those are probably bots or paid reviews please share this to everyone to avoid getting scammed stay safe everyone.
As I have now read all the other reviews, I see I am not alone. I apparently purchased resumebuild.eu. Which I see their are different country branches. Very clever. This way They can keep the scamming going. They offer different options of service but apparently that is the click bait to get you. I purchased a week of service and while expected my term to end after 7 days. They spying put at the very bottom of an email, not at the top about being charged $59 if I don't cancel after 7 days. If I had wanted more then a week in the first place then I would have signed up for that. They are getting away knowingly with theft. I have emailed several departments and only one will respond back. I have asked for a number to call to speak to a supervisor to which no response. Gotta give them credit. They knew to only be reached by email so they can ignoring any refunds. Apparently they have no customer service. Buyer beware! But I am sure if u are reading this it's too late.
I was asked to pay 2 dollars for my resume and that was it. I now randomly had 59 dollars taken from my bank account out of no where. Now my bank account is in the negative and I will have to pay fees with money I don't have. I don't have a job or any means of income right now and this website just totally $#*!ed me. No mention of having to pay 59 dollars anywhere when paying the 2 dollars. I now have to pay for going under with money I don't have. Ridiculous.
Do not leave your credit card information! Do not use this site! They charge you freaking 59 dollars after 7 days. I bought the 7 day unlimited access for 2 dollars. They have a tiny clause that says you have to unsubscribe if not 59 dollars will be charged every month. If they're a reputable company they wouldn't automatically sign you up for their unlimited access program when you sign up for a 7 day program. This is hard earned money.
I spent roughly half an hour making and editing my resume. It was only after I tried to download it and created my account that the site informed me it costs money to so much as create the most basic of resumes. It wouldn't even be that much of a problem if it were a great builder, but it's also pretty lacking in customizability in the section templates.
I completely rely on this website. Every Time I have to update or create a resume from scratch, I use it. With satisfying experiences, I would continue using Resumebuild and would suggest others using the website as well.
Scam website. It shows a plan subscription for $1.95, and after 7 days it will charge your for $59 without asking you. The first billing email will be received to your junk, in which you will not be able to see the email. In the latter email they will mention that auto-renewal will proceeded after, but they didn't mention that in their terms and conditions.
So, they charged my account $59... I asked simply to return it to my account and they refused. I'm pretty sure I cancelled it since I just wanted to use the trial and the will not give the money back..
As below said, they automatically charged my $59 for another 12 weeks subscription. Excuse me? 12 weeks? Who wants to use this for 12 weeks! This is fraud! It is $1.95 for 7 days. How could it be $59 for 12 weeks?
I bought 7-day membership for 2 dollars, while buying they kept the 7 day membership in big font and automatic upgrade in small font. While i paid for the 7 days, after seven days they withdrew 59 dollars wihtout any notification from my account. When i reached out to thier support on 8th day, they say it was already purchased for 12 weeks without user's permission.
This is a scam.
I've agreed to the 1.95 for 1 week, so I could create and download my resume. Now they; ve charged my creditcard with an additional $59, whichc I've never agreed upon. Also, I'm not able to login, or ask for a new pasword, because they're website claims they don't know me.
This is a scam website that doesnt tell you you will be charged 60$ for your resume!
They charge you first like 2$ for 7 days access to check and download your resume.
And 12 days later, they charge you again but 60$!
Of course in their term and use you have only 7 days to say you want to be reimbursed, but they charge you after 12 days so it is too late...
This is actually how they make money.
Dont go on this scam website!
The https://resumebuild.com has been deducted money from my account, initially they offer you to pay 1.95$ to download your resume and after 7 days they deducted 4046. 90 rupees from my account without any authorization. I have gone through all the term and condition from there web site but they have not mention how much they will deduct money or period of further subcription.
Resumebuild is playing with people, totally froud, bastard company, even they have not share any contact number too.
Is there any way we can save from this kind of company?
I was running late and forgot to update my resume! Thank god, I got ResumeBuild to save me from embarrassment in front of the interviewers. It took 5-6 minutes to create and update a new and attractive resume.
Was actually quite impressed at how they made it so easy to write resumes. However, this company clearly lacks integrity. They write misleading descriptions about their pricing plans, falsely name their plan "7-day full access" for USD 1.95 but in fine print, tells you that your membership will be AUTO-RENEWED and u get charged USD 59 every 12 weeks, which is essentially 3 months. YET their other plan (monthly plan, costs less than USD 8), which means you would only have to pay less than USD 24 for 12 weeks if u signed up for the other plan! That's half of USD59 and yet both plans get full access to all the tools and services. How does that make sense? Clearly, they were trying to attract people to choose the 7-day plan so that they will be fooled and force to renew and pay USD 59.
I was scammed $59 and I need help getting them back. It's college money that I had in my account and I don't have a job. I can not afford this right now. Somebody please, PLEASE HELP ME! Where do I go to get a refund? What can I do? I already talked to my bank and they said they'll give me a temporary refund but I can't lose those $59.
Answer: Please do not visit this site as its a scam. Initially it will charge you very less amount for the trial then they will charge you after every seven days with three times higher amount. I have blocked my account just because of this stupid website.

Answer: Scam. They charge you a $2 fee for the cost of one resume and then $59 every 12 weeks. Fucking dickheads.
